I rarely write a review this complimentary about a hotel in Germany near the main train station, but the Hotel Kronprinz deserves it. It is a grand hotel with high ceilings in the room. Very comfortable, immaculately clean and friendly staff. There is free WIFI in the rooms, an excellent buffet breakfast in a very bright, cheerful breakfast room and CNN channel on the German cable program. The best of all is that you are in the heart of the St. Georg district, directly across from the Hauptbahnhof and near all the main Sbahn and Ubhan trains. I will make every effort to stay here again in the future. One item to note is that security here is obviously very important. There are in room safes and the front desk does not give you your key after a return to the hotel without some type of identification. High recommend!!

Some rooms are tiny, and not well furnished. I had to change on my arrival because the one they had given to me had no working table ! So I had to pay an extra for a larger room... Apart from this, a nice old noble building that has been refurbished as a hotel. Whence a stange structure, but somehow nice. No noise from outside, but I could hear well my room neighbours.

Well positioned in town; old building, but had character. Rooms a bit small. Breakfast was well presented and good. WiFi worked well.

The Hotel staff were very helpful in all respects from recommending what buses/subways to use to sights that should not be missed. We travelled with two small children and our room suited us perfectly. As well the staff were very attentive with the kids giving them Christmas chocolates and making hot chocolates for them for breakfast. Overall our stay was perfect.

Excellent hotel in an excellent city. Hotel basic but very spacious rooms. Great staff, nothing too much trouble, also fluent in English which helps us ignorant Brits! Berlin great city, very friendly people.Would definitely go back.

We found the Hotel Seifert extremely good value and an excellent base for exploring Berlin. The directions to the hotel were easy to follow - we actually walked from the station, rather than take the bus, which took around 10 minutes. The location was very good; we found we were happy to eat locally in the nearby Savigny area, rather than venturing further. The hotel staff were extremely nice and helpful particularly Daniel, who kindly allowed me to practise my schoolgirl German, although he spoke perfect English. We had paid a little extra for a 'comfort' room and had no complaints, although the yard area beneath could be quite noisy. The breakfast, as others have mentioned, was very good, particularly on Sunday. All in all, an excellent, friendly, good value, budget choice and I would have no hesitation in recommending it.

The Building was historic and old(wooden floor was creaked while walking) but had been cleaned very well, so I could say it was also attractive. All staff were very friendly and gave us many accurate advices to stay in Berlin more comfortable and exciting. New Year's special breakfast with champagne and dessert gave us a big satisfaction. I would stay here again!!!

It's a fantastic hotel, because it's situated in an historic building, but well restored. The rooms are spacious, simple and clean. The employees are very kind and available for every necessity. The breakfast is fastastic!!! It is located in Charlottembourg, near to a underground station, so very easy to reach. Roberta & Enrico (Italy)

The room was clean and large enough for four of us (2 adults, 1 child and 1 toddler). I think price/quality is really good.

For me it was really excellent. The only thing was that we had two single beds and i hoped for a double bed. But i didn't order it, so i am not in the position to complain about it. Next time i will name it specifically.

I felt like I had to put on my shoes to walk accross the icky carpeted floor in our room. The shower was tiny and the door didn't shut all the way. I had to ask for soap and they gave us shower gel instead of shampoo. There was a large high school group of boys there during our stay. The lift stops at the landings that are one half staircase away from the rooms. You have to lug up your luggage a half flight of stairs! UGH! I wouldn't stay here again.
