The hotel is ok. The rooms are spacious. It was very hot in Berlin when I arrived and there are no fans in the rooms so I was pretty uncomfortable when I was trying to sleep. Otherwise, they have a great breakfast, the staff is friendly, it's next to the U-bahn which is excellent, and there are plenty of lovely restaurants near by.

twin bedded room although the beds were very narrow and no space between. The hotel had been modernised since our last visit 3 years ago and was much improved.

My single room was small but very confortable, the staff is helpful also if not everyone speaks english. I felt at home in this hotel, i would suggest to my friends. The bathroom was very clean and also they don't change your towels everyday, that is absolutely positive!

The room I had was excellent, large, airy and spotlesslessly clean with an very good bathroom. It became my refuge as I started to develop a cold/flu type thing, and it was such a pleasure to be in such a comforting space. The only criticism is the ridiculous 5 Euro (refundable)charge for the TV remote control (do people really steal these?!) and the strange mix of coolness/grumpiness of the reception staff. I got a smile out of them at the end, but it was hard work!

This was our first visit to Berlin. We were highly impressed with the Sachsenhof and thought it represente good value for money and was in a good location very near to a U Bahn station.Staff are very helpful although the night staff were a bit dour. You can have breakfast at the hotel or at the excellent cafes in the vacinity. The "Big Breakfast" at the Windows Bistro on the nearby Martin Luther Strasse is excellent value - big enough for 2 people with coffee for 6.50 euros. All in all a great trip and we would certainly go back to the Sachsenhof.

The accommodation suited our needs viz position and cost. There was no public lounge area. The room allocated had a steel wardrobe which was only partly accessible due to its closeness to the bed.The lift was small, it was impossible to fit 2 persons with two persons' luggage. Breakfast served in a rather dull room and the coffee was of very poor quality. I feel that the hotel was suitable for commercial travellers who did not have any need to socialise. The area around the Hotel Sachsenhof appeared very safe with many styles of restaurants and cafes close by. The U-Bahn station of Nollendorfplatz was very useful, together with buses from that point.
