Hotel PLUS Berlin - Berlin

Plus Berlin was a great choice for the weekend I spent there, I really enjoyed the originality of the decoration and the rabbits in the garden! However, the room was quite noisy and it would have been nice to let the air in before our arrival. The reception staff gave us good advice for the restaurants!

At night there was too much noise in the rooms over the entrance (the streetside of the building)during the weekend. There is a nightclub opposite the hotel ! No problems of that kind in the rooms on the courtside.

I recomend you to book this hotel +hostel, mostly the young people, it's very sympathique. The only inconvenience that the Internet does not work at the room, it's limited in the reception area. So, i've passed a great holiday in Plus Berlin.

The service and experience offered exceed my expectation.

I dont see Plus as a hotel, but as a hostel with private ensuite bedrooms. It is a great hostel! There is a pool, laundry area, and a restaurant/bar (with wonderful pasta!). The staff is really nice too. Everything is prepared for young people having fun. You have to pay 5 euros for the breakfast, and it is worth it. We were in the private ensuite bedroom, but it did not actually like it. It was huge, the air condition worked properly, but the bed was noisy and the shower temperature was really hard to control. And, sometimes there were a lot of people walking nearby my bedroom, and making noise. The location is good, right in front of U/S stations and you can walk to East Side Gallery. I would return to this property because it is very cheap, but it is not exactly comfortable.

Very good location, near to the S-bahn and U-bahn station. Very nice building renovated in 2010. Our room was very nice, and we had enough place. Difficulty the first 2 days because the informatic system was out and the key card to open our room door was not running => the staff hat to come with us to open the door !!! The swimming pool was as described but not the water temperature : very cold. But very good after a sauna. The population of the hotel is young (16 to 25 years ols generally) and somtimes there is some disturbance (some noise on corridors). I will recommend this hotel and go back next time.

Good price/quality combination, and perfect location for exploring Berlin on foot or public transport. A few minuses though. The place is almost too big, and therefore anonymous. The inneryard has potential but is not used accordingly. Ditch the rabbits, grass is also for humans. And please clean these ashtrays instead of filling up the holes the rabbits dug. Another minus is the cashless paying system. Standing in the bar wanting to order a drink with cash in your hands and not being able to reminds of old Friedrichshain from the GDR-era (instead, you have to go to the reception (50 meters from the bar), stand in line and wait, get your card "charged" with credit, walk back to the bar, stand in line there and eventually get served. We gave up on this, went to the nearest kiosk and got a beer instantly for a quarter of the price instead). Why make things so complicated? And why stuff the room with a fridge, a microwaveoven, a standing lamp, a small flatscreen that can only be looked at from an impossible angle? It all adds to the price, to no avail. All in al, we were happy with our stay but saw a lot of potential improvements. We will not stay here next time we are in Berlin, but will check it out in a few years.

The room was incredibly dusty and we requested repeatedly to be cleaned. They forgot to do the cleaning twice in a week and to change the towels. Bring your soap with you if you want to take a shower. The staff at the reception was kind and provided us with the requested information and city maps. Good value for money, except for what we stated above.

I stayed recently at Plus Berlin on the occasion of Litfiba playing at SO36. Berlin is amazing. The Hotel/Hostel enjoys a great location: not really in the city centre, but near to metro and train station. Connection (including to and from Schoenefeld Airport) are excellent. I booked a double-room. In my view, great ratio quality/price (40 euro per night, per room. Staff was polite. Breakfast is quite standardized but cheap(5 euro. Restaurant/bar area is very nice. Pool and sauna are available: I have not been in, but friends told me that water is cold. Great place to stay. My weekend was unforgetteable.

I stayed four nights in Berlín. A window didn't close properly and the central heating didn't work. I asked the staff for repairing and they did nothing. However, the room was warm and comfortable. In general, the quality price rate is good.

Public areas are really nice, and the building itself is marvellous. As it is an old industrial building, corridors are straight, long, paved and by the way noisy if people walking in do not take care. Apart of this by winter time, no noise from the yard, and good quality beds. Rooms are clean and the breakfast is cheap for what is offered. Nothing is complicated in this place, breakfast buffet, smily and young staff, furniture of rooms is simple but sufficient. Heating system works well(even with minus ten outside). If you want to use the swimming pool it is better to carry some special shoes and clothes as we were not able to find a location to change clothes nearby the pool, so you have to walk through corridor in swimming costumes (even when wet). The hotel is close to both U and S bahn stations that goes to the center of Berlin in less than 10 minutes. There is always a good tram net but we did not used it.

Very basic, but clean and very large rooms. On-site laundry facility was clean and modern. This is a combination hotel / hostel, so the clients were a bit younger than average. The noise issue was from the bar / club music on a Saturday night resonating in the courtyard. It stopped sometime around midnight... Staff was very friendly, location close to U and H -bahn stations and one U-bahn stop away from Ostbahnof. Great location for concerts at O2 center and postbahnhof. Inexpensive breakfast was not fancy, but appropriate for what you pay... Would stay here again.
