Pension Delta - Berlin

We just stayed at Delta last night. I must have made a mistake when booking because we wanted to stay two nights but I must have only booked one. When we arrived we were given another room (5€ more) instead, so we wouldn't need to move after the first night. We got an excellent room (first one on the left), really spacious, TV, en suite, big comfy double bed. It was clean, only some chalk on the shower head but I wouldn't complain too much. The price is excellent for such a big room including an en suite! Since I was a bit surprised about the room change and hesitant about getting that room for an extra 4€ a night, the owner offered us breakfast for half the price (5€ instead of 9,50) which I thought was very nice. The breakfast was good, there was a choice of bread rolls, sliced meat (Wurst), eggs, cheese, cereals, yoghurt, fruit and other things. I think it's russian owned but the owner and staff were all very welcoming and spoke good English and German. Delta seems to be a bit further away from the city centre but we found our way around quite easily, as there is a subway and train only a few hundred meters away. You can purchase a Berlin Welcome ticket and get around Berlin for just over 16€ for 48 hours plus you get cheaper entry in museums etc. There's also a BIOmarket shop next door and a pub across the street. Can only recommend!

Really great hotel, nice and clean rooms, with a lot of space. The hotel doesn`t look great from the outside but the rooms are really nice and confortable. 200 meters to the Metro station, is really accesible. We would recommend it to anyone who goes to Berlin.

This is a good place to stay - excellent value, pleasant staff, clean and spacious bedroom. Lively area. The M85 bus from Kleistpark U-Bahn station goes to the Hauptbahnhof and another to the AlexPlatz. Direct (if long) U-Bahn connection to Rudow (for Schonefeld). Some places to eat well and cheaply 150 metres away along Vorbergstrasse. A lot of traffic noise from Hauptstrasse if you're on the front.

The hotel provided excellent quality at the price I paid, but this was a low rate in midweek off season. I did not have the hotel breakfast; 9 euros seemed a pretty steep price for a buffet. There is an excellent bakery 300 yards further south which provided ample breakfast for 3.50ish. Guests should not be put off by the slightly unprepossessing entrance; inside all is clean and in good order and the rooms are huge. U Bahn and S Bahn stations are within very easy reach and there is a good choice of local cafes and restaurants for evening meals.

Excellent hotel. Chambres spacieuses, très propres et calmes. Grande terrasse avec table et chaise donnant sur la chambre... super pour faire un break entre les visites de l'après-midi et les sorties du soir. Il manquerai juste un frigo dans les chambres pour avoir le maximum... Proche du bus et du métro pour arpenter tout Berlin.

The bus is the best form of transport and they run 24hrs. the best hotel

Very reasonable hotel in a very pleasant, low-key part of the city. Reastaurants, stores within walking distance.

Excellent location near Kleistpark U-Bahn. 10 mins walk from Nollendorfplatz. Hotel is clean and friendly. Breakfast was very good. My room had everything you need for short stay. Bathroom was spotless if a little cramped

It's definitely not near the city center, but it IS near a nice, upscale neighborhood of locals that had some wonderful restaurants. It was just a few stops away from something on either the bus or the tube, so it was worth buying a 7 day pass, and ride carefree for the week. The room was VERY clean, and the beds were comfortable. Very roomy.

Staff were very friendly, helpful and knowledgable, providing maps and instructions for sightseeing etc. room was very light and airy and was cleaned each day. buffet breakfast was fine but maybe not worth nine euros, probably five would cover it. the hotel is on the main bus route (m48)into the city centre and we bought a 72 hour ticket (covers buses, boats and underground) for 20 euros each. the only disadvantages were the lift being out of order (we were on the third floor)and because the hotel is situated within a building that also had private apartments it was difficult to find out how to gain entry to the building in the dark on our arrival. the nemesis restaurant opposite serves great food with friendly staff.

Location: Ideal for those who want to enjoy the city but have a quiet place to rest. Tube station very close to the hotel. Room: Very simple but very clean. Bathroom in front of the room caused no inconvenient at all. Staff: Very friendly and helpful. Cost/Benefit: Excellent (mainly if you take into consideration that I was there for the World Cup Final). I would definitely stay there again.
