- The hotel is located in Berlin central and close to many attractions(Just 15 min walking). - the room is big enough and quiet. - Old building and need to renew it. - all in all, the hotel is reasonable and cheap for those who want to stay in central.

3 person room was a two-family apartment in former E. Germany. Huge master bedroom and second bedroom, large family room, with large push-out windows providing lots of fresh air. Property not a hotel, but, instead, a condo or apartment a few yards away. Location was perfect for sight-seeing, but always felt a bit strange, since we saw no other tourists in the building, and felt like we were in E. Germany before the wall was removed. Staff were helpful, but spoke little English. No TV stations in English.

The room and the bathroom are quite "old style". If you don´t take care about how cool is the furnishing, then it is a good choise for price and location. Remark: the Air conditioning system was a little too loud

Surprisingly in Berlin quite many among personnel at hotels, various offices and museums, bars, restaurants even at airports etc don't speak English, which can create problems. At Kubrat Hotel this problems existed too but seemed however below average, because at least they were always polite in such situations.

it's been a really nice stay. the room was very clean as the public spaces, the staff was really kind and helpful (the last day we had to print out boarding pass and they did it without problems). there's always someone at the hall (24 hours /24) so you can turn back whenever you want. there was free internet wireless in the rooms as it was written in the web page. the position was fantastic: the hotel is placed in a beautiful and central quarter and there's a U-bahn stop really close to it to reach the other areas. there are also two good bar nearby the hotel that do a really good espresso (i'm sorry, i'm italian and i need an espresso in the morning!) so if you don't have breakfast in the hotel, you can have it without walking kilometers. i really recommend you this hotel!

We stay in a comfortable apartment (four beds and an extra bed). There is a short path outdoor to reach the lobby and the breakfast room. This may be a problem when it rains. Internet is available for free in the hotel only, not in the apartments.

We lived in two rooms: one was spacious and quiet and another one small and overlooking noisy Leipziger street. Problems: 1. Wi-Fi Internet didn't work on the second floor and they failed to fix it during 6 days of our stay (worked on other floors though). 2.There was a suspicious smell (probably from dump carpet) in the halls and they seem to have suppressed it with air-freshener...

We were quoted for an apartment for three people, which it was but, it was old apartment building (perhaps bought by the hotel) out the back door, across the car park. The building had been cheaply renovated. The main bedroom was large, but the wardrobe was in the living room. There was only provision for one suitcase in the double-bed room. The couch and seats in the living room were old, dirty and shabby. The chair at the desk was an old office swivel chair that was about to break apart. Wifi internet was only available in the lobby otherwise we would have found another hotel straight away. The breakfast staffer was always in a bad mood, not quite rude, but almost. One chair in the dining room was ready to fall apart (the dowels were about to come away from their holes which I had to show to the staff.

The desk staff were friendly and extremely helpful. There were 9 of us: myself (Grandma), my three grown children and their wives/husbands, and two small children, 4 and 18 months. My first room, a single, was in the front and very noisy. I requested a back room--the back rooms are fairly quiet(201,204,301,304,etc.) overlooking a courtyard that separates the front building from the rear one that has the suites/apartments. The apartment for my daughter's family with 2 toddlers faced a parallel street which was exceptionally noisy, so they gave the bedroom to the kids (quieter) and took the living room--moved mattresses around. Perhaps there were quieter apartments? The apartment was spacious, there is a balcony, but the kitchen has no cooking facility, so they couldn't warm up food for the children. A couple of days went by before they could get a baby crib from the hotel. Suggest you rent strollers, cribs from Berlin online vendor (they'll deliver) if you travel with little ones. The dining room is very pleasant, breakfast at 7.50 Euros is traditional & good. Location was excellent. Overall, the value was good for us.

This hotel was in a great location, close to many sights. staff were nice and welcoming. The restaurant has delicious food and we had a very nice waiter too. The rooms are adequate but a bit outdated and can get cold during he night as the heaters seem to be turned off during the night (the curtains are paper thin so it get drafty and it doesnt get completly dark). Would recommend if you are after somewhere reasonably priced in a good location.

We stayed in a triple room, which actually was an apartment. The apartment was very big and the service was good. The breakfast was not one of the most abundant that I've tried, but it was also cheap, so the relation quality-price comparing with other hotels was quite good. However, the best quality of this hotel is the location, as it is placed on the city center and you can go walking to almost all intereting places.

The main advantage of the hotel is the central location and the spacious rooms (heritage of the GDR I guess). Nevertheless, the price are a bit exagerated (the breakfast is not included) and the Mitte area is quite boring at night.

great customer service, big rooms and nice facilities. Free internet! Only thing was that the room was smelling to cigarrete a bit. Breakfast not included, but was only 6 Euros and it is worthy (big buffet). Excellent location, walking distance to Sony Center and Check Point Charlie.
