We travelled to Berlin as a family for a short break sightseeing and to visit the christmas markets. The hotel was very well located and central in a very pleasant area. Rooms were clean and well equipped. Breakfast was also very good. Would certainly visit again. Excellent value .

Brilliant location. Fantastic buffet breakfast. In entrance hall and stairs there was a strange arrangement of a carpet runner on top of another carpet secured down by brass studs, which looked very down at heel......but the room wasn't like that at all and was very nice. Excelent value for money. Had to get the key from Hotel next door as we arrived after 9.00pm.

The room was spacious but in need of renovation/update. The stairs/hallways were dark and dingy. But, great breakfast facilities with a wide choice of continental breakfast (which I enjoyed to the max)

This hotel is perfectly priced for travelers who want a homey, comfortable, traditional hotel experience in an expensive part of town with excellent connections to all locations of interest to most tourists. And the windows even open. We loved this hotel and will definitely recommend it and come back ourselves. And did I mention breakfast - devine!

La localizacion de este Hotel/Pension es muy buena sin embargo la calidad del Hotel no es para el precio. Arrivamos al Hotel a las 7:00pm y se me informo que mi reserva se habia cancelado porque el dia anterior no pudieron confirmar mi tarjeta de credito y que Hotel estaba lleno por un evento especial en la ciudad, me alojaron en un cuarto no muy comodo por sierto y se me dijo que no podian confirmarme si me podian dar cuarto al otro dia, todo estaba completo y tenia que esperar si habia una cancelacion. Al otro dia me alojaron en un cuarto en el ultimo piso de pesima calidad, yo les dije que no estaba conforme con ese cuarto y que me tenian que buscar un Hotel donde alojarme, despues me cambiaron a otro cuarto de fumar, yo soy asmatica y por eso siempre pido no fumadores, no me quedo mas remedio que aceptarlo pero las personas que limpian las habitaciones hicieron un buen trabajo, mi experiencia con Elba no fue muy agradable. No creo que lo recomendaria ni volveria a quedarme en este Hotel.

The hotel is in an appartmentbuilding just off Ku'damm. Walking distance to Bahnhof Zoo. Clean beds, room and bathroom. Good breakfast. The location is very good for Ku'damm and I recommend the restaurants at Sauvignyplatz. Close to S-bahn and U-bahn.

My daughter and myself went to Berlin at the end of November for the Christmas Market, the Hotel Elba was an Ideal location for this as it is central to most things! Although a bit dated, it was very clean.

By car
From the highway A2 Hannover-Berlin: A2 changes into A115 at Berlin city limits. Exit at Wilmersdorf/Zentrum. Keep in the right lane and exit immediately at Kurfürstendamm. At the following square keep in the left lane and then turn left into Kurfürstendamm. Keep on driving on Kurfürstendamm until the crossroad Bleibtreustraße. Turn right into Bleibtreustraße. You will find the hotel after 50 meters on the right hand side.
By train
From Zoo railway station take bus line 109 and get off at the Bleibtreustraße stop (on the corner of Kurfürstendamm). Alternatively, take the underground to Uhlandstraße or the express train from Zoologischer Garten to Savignyplatz.
By airplane
At Tegel airport you may take bus line 109 and get off at the Bleibtreustraße stop (on the corner of Kurfürstendamm).
From Tempelhof airport take bus line 119 and get off at the Bleibtreustraße stop (on the corner of Kurfürstendamm).
From Schönefeld airport take bus line 171 and get off at the Rudow underground station (travel time: 15 minutes). Proceed by underground to Uhlandstraße. Alternatively, you can take the express train to Savignyplatz.
