Very centrally located, but not really a 4 star hotel. No lobby, only huge Bavarian restaurant. Small room and single-bed, decoration a little old. Breakfast okay, nothing exciting. Buns not fresh but oven baked. Tea selection poor. Good hotel for sightseeing, not for a longer business stay.

We were on a motorcycle tour of Germany so was looking for cheap central accomodation. The hotel whilst basic is modern, clean, smart and a fabulous location, close enough to comfortably walk to all central sites. The beds were comfortable with quality linen. Great value for money. The staff were very helpful and spoke enough English to communicate well. The hotel bar and restuarant next door is OK and also good value food, drinks expensive but that is true of all bars in Berlin. If I go back to Berlin I would definitely stay here again.

We stayed a week and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The hotel is located at walking distance from most sights, such as Checkpoint Charlie, Brandenburg Gate, Museum Island, Metro, good restaurants and shopping malls like La Fayette. We had breakfast at hotel on first day only as price was rather expensive for what was available. Internet available in room and on a hotel PC on floor.

Excellent city hotel. The rooms and public areas are clean, smart and spacious. The room was quiet, comfortable, well equipped and immaculate. The location is very central and within easy walking distance of some great restaurants as well as main sights. Reception staff very friendly and helpful and this for 81 euros per room per night ! Breakfast is expensive but there is a wonderful cafe 5 minutes walk away where we had a superb cheaper breakfast each day.

Breakfast can be improved. More fresh fruit. Bananas looked like they had been there for a few days. Bread; Store bought and sliced already. For 11 Euros, one can supply people with loaves of bread where they can slice off their FRESH pieces. Provide bacon/sausages. Internet: keyboard on the first floor does NOT work properly. You type a letter and it takes forever to appear on the screen. Also, the computer is very SLOW. The slowest I've experienced in all of my travels...

Hotel and rooms are very clean. This Hotel is very well located in Mitte, most of the things to see or visit in Mitte are at within a walking distance. And for the other area, the subway line 2 is just 5 minutes away from the hotel (stadtmitte station). Excellent price for this area.

excellent location easy to reach major attractions on foot. we stayed as a party of 7 friends in 3 single and 2 twin rooms, all rooms very clean with en suite facilities although the single rooms were quite small compared to the twin rooms considering all rooms cost the same price. breakfast was expensive at hotel we went to a small coffee shop 2 min walk along street also a small supermarket close by. several excellent restaurants close by for evening meal. hotel staff all very friendly and helpful and spoke excellent english. hotel easy to travel to from schodenfield airport by train to freidrichstrasse station then 10 min walk to leipzeger street or 2 stops on underground. we would recommend this hotel for it's excellent location and friendlt staff.

Great location, right on the Leipziger Strasse, not more than 6 blocks from the former Checkpoint Charlie. This hotel is surrounded by a Lowenbrau restaurant and set back from the street. Friedrich Strasse is but a block away and Unter den Linden, about six blocks. The Berlin Mitte subway station is about three blocks, under Friedrich Strasse. The hotel itself has a rather smallish lobby; rooms are on the first floor up from the street and the second -- the rest of the building is evidently apartments. The room we had was roomy enough, sparkling clean, and well equipped. We were able to reach all points in Berlin without difficulty. Breakfast selection was generous and the setting warm and friendly. We recommend this hotel highly -- added to the experience of Berlin. Thank you, City Partner!

Good hotel with moderate prices. Very Clean and comfortable. Reception staff very helpful. Excellent location near U-Bahn Stadtmitte and Friederich Strasse. Next door inexpensive Bavarian restaurant serves good German food. Only minus that we can mention is that beds should be renewed. You can have breakfast in the hotel (not included) but it is also nice to have breakfast at other (various) places, like Coffee Shops, Konditorei, KaDeWe, .... Hotel is good choice for any Berlin visit.

The hotel was very well situated, especially as we wanted to be close to the Gendarmarkt(apparently the best Xmas market) and the Nachtmarkt in Opernpalais, also very good. The room was very clean and plenty big enough and a really excellent breakfast buffet was provided in nice surroundings. The hotel also had a 'tavern' attached which was very useful for a late night drink! The Unter den Linden was close by and 'spectacular' at Xmas and we were in walking distance of all the 'attractions', christmas markets, buildings, holocaust museum etc. etc. We would definitely stay at this hotel again and thoroughly recommend it. The staff spoke excellent English and were very helpful.

This was my first visit to Berlin and was pleased with the choice of hotel, the staff on duty during the day had good English. Breakfast was expensive and staff not too enthusiastic in clearing away left overs for the next guest. The breakfast at cafe/restuarants around the corner at half the price. The hotel is well placed for the main attractions, being within an easy 10/15 minute walk. Berlin is a very flat city and the transport around the city is excellent and within 5 minutes walk.

Excellent location and great access to all the sights, either walking or the ubahn. Checkpoint Charlie is only a 10 min walk away as are many cafes and coffee shops. The lonely planet has a good 12k walk in the area (which can easily be split into 2 days) and you can visit the Topography of Terror on route which has free english audio guides. The staff spoke excellent english and were always helpful including checking in early and leaving our bags for the last day as our flight was not till 9pm.

The hotel is a stone's throw from the Hilton and a fraction of the price! Fantastic English-speaking staff, could not have been more helpful. If you are travelling with children be aware there are no baths, only showers, but this wasn't a problem for us. Ideally located for Potsdamer Platz, Brandenburg Gate, Checkpoint Charlie. Nice little restaurant adjoining as well, and spotless rooms - book here you can't go wrong!

Very clean facility, located in the heart of the central district in Berlin. Just a couple of blocks from the U-Bahn. The front desk was very helpful in recommending several places to eat, although when we asked whether or not the A/C was working we were told, rather stiffly, that it certainly was working and that we needed to close the windows (which had been left open prior to our arrival) in order for it to work! The rooms looked newly remodeled and impeccably clean. Wish we had stayed longer than a day so we could have taken advantage of all the closet space! The U-Bahn / S-Bahn ride from the airport to the hotel was fairly lengthy (about 40 minutes), with a transfer of lines. The price was 85 EUR, as promised - an incredible deal given the location and quality of facilities!

In fact, I left in the hotel a questionary too because It was pleasant to find an hotel so good for that price. They had good details, such as litlle hearts we found in our beds when we arrived to the room as a wellcoming, and the same when we left, wishing we had a good stay .... there were no noise at all and the room was spacious and very clean. A very clean and quiet hotel in the heart of the city, just minutes from Hilton, Unter den Linden/Brandenburg Gate, and the theater area. Both wireless and wired Internet available for 12 Euros/24 hours, and the connection is good. Helpful staff and a perfect quality-to-price ratio.
