Returned from Hotel Berolina on the 9th Nov which was an amazing time to stay in Berlin as the Anniversary of the falling of the Berlin Wall was on, even managed to see U2 live outside the Bradenburg Gate, amazing!! Very happy with our stay in the Berolina. It was very clean, the location was fantastic, the gentleman on arrival was super helpful, the gentleman on our last day was not so great, when i asked him how to get a taxi to the airport he explained real quickly and then reminded me abruptly he was having to prepare for breakfast and had not time to chat! Apart from this the stay was great, our room was huge! One double and one single on the fourth floor, we were also able to bring a few drinks in to the lounge area at night which was great travelling on a budget and the employees were only too happy to chill our wine for us! Highly recommended only thing is the area is great for shopping and getting the S-Bahn train but it is quite dirty on the streets and is a bit rough at night, i feel it is nothing as nice as the Alexanderplatz but for cheap, clean and a location to drop your bags and get out and about is perfect...

Overall the hotel is highly recommendable, however, next time I would specify that I would like a non smoking room. The smell was really disgusting for someone that does not smoke.

The price is a bit too high for the accomodation quality. But you are in the best location and ev en though, you can afford it. Thank you.

It was a great central location. Where our room was located we had no problems with noise (except perhaps the children in the room next door, but they were in bed and quiet before we were). The free internet barely worked in our room so we went downstairs to their comfortable lobby-area to use it. Overall, a pretty good stay.

Twin bedded room was very spacious, excellent wide beds, extra bed also available. Bathroom was rather cramped for space. Reception personnel very helpful. Well-situated hotel. Breakfast sounded expensive, but sufficient possibilities in the rest of Berlin!

Ein nettes, einfaches Hotel sehr zentral- um´s Eck von der Gedächtniskirche, 2 min zum Bahnhof Zoo. Trotzdem- zumindest in unserem Zimmer- keine Lärmbelästigung. Das Zimmer (wir hatten Doppel gebucht und bekamen 3Bett) war groß genug, das Bad war zwar riesig, da für Rollstuhlfahrer gebaut, besonders liebevoll eingerichtet war es allerdings nicht- hatte etwas von Gefängnis- Charme. Hat uns aber nicht weiter gestört, den Zweck erfült es ja. Die Leute waren alle sehr nett und hilfsbereit, auch Gepäckaufbewahrung nach dem Auschecken war kein Problem. Frühstück haben wir nicht in Anspruch genommen, hat aber ganz lecker ausgesehen. Alles in allem auf jeden Fall empfehlenswert, wenn man nicht totalen Luxus braucht und in einer relativ günstigen Preisklasse ein zentrales, sauberes Hotel sucht.

The room was big and confortable (we had just some problems with the bathroom because there was low pressure for the hot water). The biggest problem was the fact that the reception closes at midnight. our flight was late and even if we called the reception they couldn't wait for us, so we spent the first night outside

I recently took a two week vacation to europe and of the seven hotels I stayed at ranging from 2-4 stars, this hotel was by far the best and the cheapest actually which made it the best value. Spacious rooms, excellent location, free internet and superb service from the employees. The only downfall was that if you go for the cheaper rooms the bathroom is shared, but it was clean and for any college student thats lived in a dorm its no problem at all. I think the best quality of this hotel was its location, right next to the kaiser welhelm church and in the heart of the city with many excellent restaurants nearby as well. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and would come back here again

We stayed in a doble room with bathroom. My wife and I enjoyed the our 6 day stay very much. No luxury but low price and good qality. The hotel has a fantastic location for us. We will recomend it for others.

The Hotel offers an high quality between price and quality: it is 200 mt to U-Bahn and 600 mt to S-Bahn. The location is ok. The room is good and clean; only two negative things: the bathroom is outside and in common and the water isn't always hot (mind the shower...)

Bathroom was clean enough. Our room was large but right on the street so it was loud. I just put in ear plugs at night. The bed was uncomfortable but the sheets were clean. The location was good, close to the metro with stores and restaurants just outside the hotel.

As there were no other rooms available, I had a room on the second floor with shared bathroom on the corridor. The comfort was on the level of a hostel. The room was big but not very clean. The furniture and equipment was poor. WLAN did not work in the room. Maybe rooms on other floors are better. However, this one did not meet my expectation of a hotel room.

This is one of the best budget hotels I have been. Clean, comfortable, central. I especially enjoyed the discrection of the cleaning staff and the wonderful view from the nice balcony of the room. The only thing I would have done different: a bigger toilet, because the room was huge, but the toilet was too small. Anyways it is not a complaint since the room and the hotel were much better than expected.

Once we found the place, we realised it was in a great location. The street numbering is unusual, as in all the numbers run along one side of the street (1-20), then across the road and back up again are the rest of the numbers. So the hotel was up near the intersection where the Kaiser-Wilhelm-Ged...church is. Once we arrived the staff were very helpful and welcoming. The room was clean and spacious, we did have to pin up a towel to the bottom of the curtain to stop the sunlight shining on our faces in the morning though. Apart from this, the hotel was very good and was in a great location. Close to the Metro (U & S Bahn). Breakfast was a bit extra, but worth it.

Very nice and clean and cheap hotel. Only that if a lavatory (very clean) is in the corridor then I would give for ir 2 starts not 3 (like it classifioes itself). Small negative surprise was that breakfast was for additional payment.

Das Hotel liegt direkt gegenüber der Gedächniskirche. Der Bahnhof Zoo ist 4 min zu Fuß entfernt. Zum KDW sind es nur 10 min. Sehr zentral.

Wonderful place to stay in Berlin. It's very centred and the people at the hotel is friendly and awesome!!! I'll definetely recommend it

Even though it is not very close to the Hotel, I would definitely recommend having dinner in the dark (served by blind waiters and waitresses) at Nocti Vagus restaurant. The hotel staff kindly made the booking for us and explained how to get there (direct S-Bahn). It was the 1st time I stayed at the hotel. My friend and I are both happy to recommend it to anyone and hope to be back there soon.

Great location,really in the center of the city,but be prepared that this hotel is not 3xxx.Room we booked with venere was small and with shared bath,wc in the coridor, really just for weekend.So if you want to stay for sharp time everything is ok

It was our first time in Berlin and we chose the hotel because it was centrally located and reasonably priced. It was old, but our room was newly renovated and neat and tidy. However, there were no chest of drawers; in fact, no drawers at all. There was a kind of writing desk, but no table lamp on it and an easy chair would have been nice. The furniture was okay, but obviously cheap. Certainly not a *** hotel. We would rate as a ** hotel.

I arrived late on my first night & had to be away early next morning, the gentleman on duty at the time couldn't have been more obliging even going out of his way to find me an alarm clock! Not in my view suitable for a family or anyone looking for particular comfort, but ideal if like me you really only need a good, clean & inexpensive base close to all the attractions of a wonderful city.

Great location. Just cross the street at the gedachtniskirche and you can walk into your hotel. Very nice employees.

Hotel Berolina an der Gedächtniskirche ROCKS:D We couldn't ask for a better hotel - we had a wonderful stay we will never forget:)
