Hotel Bellevue - Berlin

Towels were used too much and I thought that they were rip whenever I used them. Although it was insisted that they were fresh (ok I also accept that they were washed) I didn't want to use them but unfortunately, it was a short trip and I didn't bring my own towels. The attitude of the receptionist was not good.I didn't like her behaviour. It was the first time for me to be in Berlin and I tried to get some information from her but she didn't interest in me.

We were disappointed that the staff here did not speak English very well at all and this led to quite a few miscommunications about directions and instructions. The rooms were very old fashioned (Grandma style!) and although they were suprisingly spacious, they had terrible quality bedding, particularly the towels which were all footmat size and all had brown stains on them (we refused to use them). The breakfast room was tiny and had a very limited range of food. This hotel was also not as centrally positioned as I thought it would be so we had to rely on public transport to get everywhere.

I think 90€ for this hotel is too much. The building is very old and scary. There was a group of teenagers in the next room, and even when they were not talking loud, we could hear them as if they were in the same room. The location is very convenient though, and the staff for the breakfast is very nice. Breakfast was good, nothing very fancy, but covered the basics.

The hotel is ok, the room was clean, the breakfast ok, everything worked just fine. The request to pay for the whole stay at the arrival was a little irritating, though. Still: I can recommend "Bellevue" to anyone who is looking for a good hotel at a reasonable rate in Berlin.

I had expected to pay with my visa card as mentionned on the website , but this seemed impossible as I was urged to pay immediate cash.Using Internet was also complicated as they said I had to pay a 10Euro fee as I was staying 4 days, so i didn't use the net.I called my family in Paris for 31'40" and was charged 31,648 Euros which seems a little too expensive. I intend to send the phone bill to the Deutsch Telecom. Best regards Christine Thornander

Pensione, non hotel, sito al secondo piano di un grigio condominio. Discreto, come pensione di medio livello. La pubblicità indica parcheggio privato e internet wireless con accesso gratuito. Pura fantasia: il parcheggio è, se si trova posto, la strada (e per sostare o si mettono monete nel parcometro o si pagano 10€ al giorno oltre a una cauzione di 100€), il garage non esiste ma ci si può rivolgere a privati più o meno nei pressi. Internet c'è, solo vicino la reception, e si paga 10 €. L'unica cosa positiva e la location, veramente buona. Il resto delude alquanto.

The only drawback was that the hotel did not accept creditcards, had to pay cash.

My relation is negative,because my room was collacated at ground floor next to the principal door. Quietness of the room is 0

Finding the hotel was a little difficult at first. Use Hohenzollem platz station, take Hohenzollen street exit, cross the road, take the street ahead and it's about 500m away. There are several places to eat and drink nearby as well as some shops. The area seemed to be very safe at night walking alone. The room was a bit small and so was the bed. However, the breakfast - a cold buffet was good. Overall good value - but not a three star hotel! A problem was that they don't accept credit cards as advertised, they want full payment up front. A bit of a problem if you're not going to be happy with the room.

Great quality/Price Quiteness

L'albergo è tutto sommato carino. A 10 minuti di cammino dalla metropolitana che consente di raggiungere in breve tempo il centro, i monumenti e la zona commerciale. La zona è silenziosa in prossimità di alcune scuole.

We slept in 4 bed room, which had not much space, but the price/value was very good. We would come back. Around the hotel there were a lot of posibilities to go out for dinner or a drink. It was also situated near to the Kurfürstendamm.

Very helpful staff and nice place to stay for a reasonable price. And if you have time definitely go to near located restaurant Stella di Mare :)

Bellevue is adevertised as a hotel but it is a pension. It is on a second floor, which was not mentioned on the web page. It is VERY FAR from all the typical Berlin landmarks. There is no private parking, except in the street and the garage is situated in another hotel 300 metres from this pension. The room shown on the web page was completely different from the one I was offered. I had to pay cash because they said they had problems with credit cards. We were very disappointed.

I felt the overall quality of the hotel was good although the room I stayed in with 2 friends was definitely a bit small. That said, we were only there a short while and didn't spend a lot of time in the room! Location is good with 3 metro stations close by. For those who like shopping, Ku'damm is only a short distance away, and there is a good selection of pubs in the area. Breakfast was very good and the hotel responded to my request by email very promptly.

Los cuartos estan muy limpios, la locacion del hotel deja mas a desear porque esta un poco retirado del centro de la ciudad, pero lo suficientemente lejos para no ser molestado los cuartos son muy espaciosos y el desayuno es bueno

Visiting The hotel didn't actually meet my standard but it was better than expected. The photos are very realistic.

I was very satisfied with my stay, and I can recommend the hotel to anyone!

Payment has been required by cash upon arrival while payment by Credit Card was not welcome and subject to extra charges. This kind of policy is felt unfair and not appropriate to international tourism.

The breakfastroom was very small, and I espect that a hotel accept Diners-card, because my travel-insuranse is connected to payment of the whole travel by my Diner-card. A little disappointing that Diners isn't accepted. However we are very satisfied with the hotel and the price, clean and quietness. Best wishes from Tor Bille Langeland
