The hotel is very clean and located on a quiet treelined street. The bus stop (Number 171)is nearby to go to Hermannplatz or to SXF airport. There are 3 or 4 restaurants within walking distance. The hotel breakfast has more than enough choices. The personnel needs to be more friendly and people oriented. Very few greetings in the morning or evening made for a somewhat cold atmosphere. If you don't like using public transport, don't stay here!

The hotel was well located for Schoenefeld airport with excellent public transport links. The receptionist didn't speak English and as we don't speak German there were 1 or 2 minor communication problems, but the staff were friendly and helpful.We had to pay in full on arrival,which we should have been told about beforehand.Overall, happy with our stay.

Very good for so cheap price. Modest room but comfortable and clean. Far from the center of Berlin, but well comunicated with bus (170) and after, metro. The same bus goes to Schonefeld airport. Only one problem: no cakes or sweet buns (croisants, etc.) on breakfast.

Very nice,English speaking(well,mostly) service,property located in a quiet area of city,wide choice of breakfast,room cleaned&linen changed every 2 days(pillows a little bit uncomfortable).I really enjoyed my stay in there.

Budget hotel with nice breakfast; the crew lacks professionalism and should respect the guests. I explain: when I checked in, the guys asked me to pay in advance; I found it very strange, but accepted to pay with traveller's checks, since it was Sunday and I couldn’t cash the checks. They told me they didn’t accept traveller's checks and that I could pay later (I booked for 6 days, from June 8 to June 14); I told them I would pay in cash or with my credit card. On Tuesday (June, 10), there was a note stuck on my door: they wanted me to pay immediately. I told them that it was offensive, and they told me to pay at the check out. On the morning of the last day I went to the desk and told them I would pay with my other credit card, different from the one I used to make the reservation. I was greatly surprised when they told me that they had already charged my credit card (the one I used for the reservation), and that it couldn’t be changed! That caused me a lot of trouble and waste of time when I went back to my country. For these reasons, I do not recommend the Atlantic Berlin; there are many nice budget hotels close to it. And if they want to charge people in advance, they should inform it in advance.

Overall I had a positive stay at the Hotel Atlantic. The room was clean, spacious and very quiet. With the exception of a gripe over payment with Master Card the guy at reception was helpful and spoke English well (like most Berliners). The buffet breakfast was good with the exception of one day were there was very little choice and the milk was sour, (no I didn't get up late or anything!). There not much to see in the surrounding area but there are 2 U-bahn stations within a 10 - 15 minutes walking distance.

It was too far from anything to be of any use. Not good for sightseeing.

We liked the hotel, with the exception of the checkin clerk, whom we found to be rude and uncooperative. He made us feel most uncomfortable and uncertain as to what we were getting into.

If you don't like cigarette smoke, DON"T STAY HERE. If you don't want to walk up and down stairs or long distances to reach transportation, DON'T STAY HERE. Two of the reasons I chose this hotel were the advertised nonsmoking rooms and shuttle from the train station -- neither of which are true. When I wrote ahead to schedule the shuttle, I was told they didn't have one and that it would be best if I took a taxi. Public transportation is a very long walk away. I requested a nonsmoking room and was told that they didn't have any, however, if I didn't smoke in the room it would be nonsmoking. In order to even register, we had to endure tremendous amounts of cigarette smoke in the lobby. The owner is in and out of his office, chain smoking constantly. There is a sign in the elevator saying that it doesn't operate between 10pm and 7am. The breakfast is minimal and served in a smoke-filled room. The hallways are smoke-filled and the smoke seeps into the hotel rooms -- there is NO clean air to breathe in this hotel.

We spent three nights at the hotel and it was a nice stay.Triple room was spaceful, lightful, quite and clean.Good breakfast included.People at the reception were nice and helpful.I may say the hotel is far from city-centre even if well connected.

A wonderful inexpensive hotel for a quick visit to Berlin. We stayed in their 3 person room, very spacious with a wonderful bath (nice change from the usual shower only hotels). Staff was very hospitable. We would stay again! They did have information at the front desk on bike tours of Berlin - we had a wonderful time and found this to be an excellent way to see the major sites. Happy travels!

It was OK, have nothing against. the only thing, we have booked 1 DBL and 1 Triple. Triple was accquipped for two adults and a child, not three adults.
