Location is excellent for those who prefer a bohemian atmosphere (like that in the Latin Quarters of Paris). While the breakfast at the hotel is fine, there are multiple cafeterias in the neighbourhood that provide a good breakfast at a considerably lower price (e.g., along Kastanien Allee or Oderberger Strasse).

This hotel is great. The rooms have all been recently renovated, and they are quite large and very quiet. The balconies are wonderful and overlook the peaceful courtyard. The neighborhood around the hotel is vibrant with many restaurants and shops. I only have two minor complaints. One, the shower has curtains instead of walls, which means the bathroom floor would get wet no matter what you did. Two, there is no sign you can place on the door to indicate that you don't want to be disturbed. Because of this, the cleaning staff opened our door when we were still in the room. This seems like a pretty easy problem to fix.

Take the A100 city motorway towards Wedding/Prenzlauer Berg until you reach the Seestraße exit. At the Bornholmer Straße/Schönhauser Allee junction, turn right, and continue until you reach number 140 on the this street.
By train
From the main train station: take the 245 bus until Nordbahnhof, and then take the M10 tram to Eberswalder Straße.
By airplane
From the Schönefeld Airport (SXF): take the city train (S-Bahn) S9, or the regional train to Alexanderplatz, and change to the underground line U2 towards Pankow. Get off at the Eberswalder Straße station.
From the Tegel Airport (TXL): take the TXL express bus to the Beusselstraße stop, and change to the city train (S-Bahn) S41. Get off the train at Schönhauser Allee, and change onto the underground line U2, heading towards Ruhleben. Get off at the Eberswalder Straße station.
