The location of the hotel was excellent, at walking distance of the main Berlin landmarks and two blocks from two different subway and train stations. The area is quiet and safe. The reception is in a different building (entrance)from de rooms, which is a little weird, but not a problem. the breakfast was very good in quantity and quality in comparison with other hotels in similar range. the room was spacious, clean and comfortable, as well as the bathroom.(the towels were too thin).

The bathromm was ridiculously small, other offered rooms were in darkness. Hotel Amelie Berlin did not meet our standard.

The standard hotel was rather low , but there was the lowest price in Berlin Mitte with breakfast included. Very central; welcoming not so good.

Very nice place in the city center. Near museums and major tourist attractions in Berlin. One thing was incompatible, hotel has no free parking for guests, and the park places on the street are not free (cost 15EUR/day)

Excelent hotel and pleople! Nice brackfast. The only thing that is not a good point is the smell of cigarets in the room. After one day, when i came back the smell look strong.

Very good location, good service at breakfast, excellent rate quality/price, a little strange room's distribution in the building.

The hotel's position is excellent. You are just 5 minutes walking from the big Friedrichstrasse U-Bahn and S-Bahn station and you can get to the main attractions of the city just walking for 10 minutes (Brandenburger Tor, Reichstag, Unter den Linden...). The area near the hotel is full of riverside restaurants. The rooms are quite simple (with a bit old furniture), but they are very clean. Breakfast is rich and employees are friendly and efficient. I suggest this hotel especially to young people looking for a cheap and centrally located place.

We are four guys at a short trip to Berlin. So we didn´t need a high quality room. The 4 bed room was clean, but the interior was quite puristic (only one wardrobe was available). The hotel is located very central and all places of interest are easy reachable. The staff wasn´t that motivated but OK for us. In total Hotel Amelie Berlin offers a good value for money.

The Hotel Amelie is situated 5 minutes on foot from the main subway station of Berlin, in the centre of the Mitte (centre) part of Berlin, so extremely well situated for discovering the city. Our room was quite big with one large bed and a smaller one, juste fine for my wife and me. It seems that it was renewed recently because it was like new. The bathroom was a bit small, but for a one-week stay it was not a problem. Breakfast was good, not much room in the dining room but there were not many people at this time of the year, so it was very nice for us two. I cannot evaluate the quality of service provided by the staff as we did not need it. We do not live in the hotel, we just use it for the night.

Nice and cheap accomodation in the dynamic centre of Berlin. Just a couple of minutes to the Reichstag, the Friedrichstadt-Palast, main station, embassys, federal ministries, ...

It was nice to be so close to all of the major attractions in Berlin. Also, very close to the train station. The rooms were small but good. Our son became ill during our stay, and it was difficult to communicate our needs with regard to securing a doctor for him, finding a pharmacy, etc. The breakfast was very good, typical German fare.

This hotel is a perfect example of getting what you pay for. Amelie has one unbeatable asset - its location, close to all the interesting sites in Mitte, diverse public transportation at hand, within walking distance of the main railroad station in Berlin. However, the rooms are not only small (I had a single and it was barely larger than a cell, perhaps 7x8 feet) but they are stripped of only the basic necessities. The bed was some strange one piece affair - headboard and mattress in one, of a rough upholstery-like fabric. The bedding was a sheet placed over this, loose, not tucked in, and for the first days, no mattress pad, plus one hard pillow and a duvet of some age. The floors throughout are linoleum, with a throw rug of 2by3 feet provided. There was a very small wooden desk chair and a desk/table, plus a freestanding closet. No drawers, a couple of very small shelves and a little corner to store a suitcase. The view was a courtyard where motorcycles were stored. It was dark. I don't know how this place qualifies as a hotel. It is more like a rooming house. The web site shows a substantial building of 5 or floors but in reality the hotel has one floor, 12 rooms, separated in 2 sections by the entry. Registration is next door, downstairs. There is no lobby , though there is a coffee room at the registration site. The rest of the building is apartments. Entry is dark at night until you find the lightswitch in the entry. From registration until payment the last day I saw no hotel personnel except the chambermaid (rooms cleaned in the afternoon.) Of course,I didn't visit the coffee room. But in a six day stay you would imagine in such a small place there would be some interest in the customer's needs. The bathroom, though basic, was clean. The whole place, however, was dreary. But, it was cheap, and as I said, you get what you pay for.

Very central, 5 minutes walking to Unter den linden. Very quiet, no noises. Simple but very honest. Ideal for those who want to be in the city centre, with no luxury, and with excelent price. Many restaurants around, and the train station too

We stayed in Berlin för two nights and had a great time. The location of the hotel was perfect for us. 15 minutes walk from the Hauptbahnhof and just a few minutes walk to Friedrichstrasse station where we easily could reach all parts of Berlin with S/U-bahn. The room was nice and clean, and the breakfast was great.

Very convenient location. Easy access to all the sites in Berlin thanks to the great public transport systems. Hotel was great for our short city break. Very good breakfast set us up for the day's exploring.

Very central location. A simple clean room with a very comfortable bed. No frills but decent and cheap considering how close we were to the centre. Breakfast was fine but quite basic, nothing special. We had our own entrance and key so didn't have to go through reception which was nice.

Excellent location in middle of Berlin, s and u station, walking distance for most attractions. Simple rooms, simple breakfast. Price paid for location. I'd go back.
