The turn-of-the-century style hotel Altberlin, dating back to 1874, offers the ideal accommodation for your stay in Berlin. Located directly on Potsdamer Platz square, it was extensively renovated in 1999 to maintain its nostalgic charm.

Excellent service, competent and very kind employees, very nice restaurant, fantastic breakfast menu.Hotel with character, good location. Minus poind- no lift, this information should be available on internet (important for people with disability).

A nice hotel but it was undergoing renovations, so it was quite cold and could be noisy in the mornings. I don't know how long this will continue, but presumably another month or two. Some staff were helpful, others much less so. We were not allowed to leave our bags at the hotel for a few hours when we checked out, and the staff made no effort at all to accommodate us. Good, not great, but will probably be better in a few months.
