Hotel Alexander Berlin - Berlin

We had booked three rooms. When we arrived we got one upgrade to two standard and one large room, very convenient. The staff were very friendly and service minded. The breakfast was excellent Easy acces to the hotel both by car as well as with bus from Tegel to Olivaer Place (20 min) The location very nice indeed with nice restaurants and bars around. The choice of Sushi places is impressive. The restaurant and the bar across the street are both worth a visit. Easy acces to Ku'dam with busses and 3-4 minutes walk to the train down Schlüter strasse. At Sauvigny Place we found nice restuarants and the famous bar Das Klo (Leibnitz strasse 57) is walking distance, even after visiting!

Small and cosy hotel, with very helpful and friendly staff. An atmosphere of a Bed & Breakfast place where you feel welcome. Lots of restaurants close by, pleasant neighborhood. Somewhat far from underground and S-bahn, though.

Air conditionner and big bed are required

Very satisfied - will return. Outstanding breakfast buffet. Note: no lift but hotel is on only two floors.

Would highly recommend this hotel. Staff were friendly, helpful and efficient, rooms were spotlessly maintained and the included buffet breakfast was excellent. Situated in a very pretty and convenient part of Berlin, with many good restaurants and transport nearby. My only negative experience was trying to find it when I got off the bus from the airport. Directions and map need to be much more specific. Otherwise, a great experience which enhanced my stay in Berlin.

Very friendly employees. Not a hotel to have a cosy evening, but visiting Berlin does not require that. Nice district, lots of restaurants and bars. Not very close to city centre, but when you rent a bike you will see the whole city in one day.

A fantastic hotel including amazing owner and staff. The service was superb. Any request whether it was for a refill of coffee or directions, this was always met with a smile and a result. The location is superb for public transport and cocktail bars! I would thoroughly recommend a stay.

Very comfortable stay. Staff helpful most with some English. Room very spacious. Breakfast great with wide selection to choose from. Transport a short walk away. Many restaurants in area.

E' un buon albergo che io consiglio per servizi offerti cortesia del personale e ubicazione in una zona molto tranquilla e centrale piena di ristoranti, uno in particolare ottimo. (Weyers) Preferiscono il pagamento in contanti. L'albergo non possiede un servizio sveglia,se necessario conviene portarsi una sveglia da viaggio.

The hotel was in an excellent position, close to all sights and restaurants. The rooms are well furnished and very clean. The free breakfast and quality of the food was the highlight of our stay. I would recommend this hotel and would definately go back there again'

Thoroughly enjoyed stay. Small hotel but it had the best buffet breakfast I've ever had. Hotel situated in street with loads of pubs, Mickies, Route 66 is a must. Close to main street with tourist bus.

Poor breakfast buffet

Although only a few minutes walk from Kurfurstendamm and Zoo Station, the district is very quiet with tree-linerd streets. My wife---who is highly critical---was immensely pleased, and of course so was I. The employees and service are absolutely superb; they are extremely courteous and helpful.

The owner of this hotel met us at the airport!!! We enjoyed our holiday, the staff was courteous and helpful whether our request was for a taxi, theatre tickets or bus tour. Our room was spotlessly clean and spacious. The leisurely breakfasts were something to look forward to each morning. We loved the decor!

It is a good hotel with no very big rooms but in an excellent location. I'd book a room again in Hotel Alexander next time that i visit Berlin.

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Alexander. The staff were helpful and friendly. The rooms are interesting though the furnishing was not new and a little worn in places. I find prices in Germany high but it seems that relative to the market the prices are reasonable.

We were delighted with the hotel, and Berlin. Everyone we met was friendly and helpful.The receptionist was very helpful offering local knowledge for bars and restaurants in the vicinity. The only feature in the room that we missed was a tea/coffee making faciclity for a morining cuppa. We enjoyed our stay very much and hope to return in the future.

Excellent small hotel. Located just off K'damm in very pleasant area. 10minute walk to S-Bahn (only a problem if it rains!) with good services to main sightseeing areas and bars etc; good access to buses (including very conveneient route to Tegel airport). Lots of restaurants and excellent shopping within easy walking distance. Rooms a bit on small side but quite sufficient, and certainly clean and well appointed. Superb breakfasts!! All in all, throughly recommended (we would look forward to using again).
