Room i stayed in was clean, hotel provide an average service. Gratest advantage is location is very close (2 mins walking) to undergound (U2)station. This imply you can hear the noise of the train when Windows are open and if your room is on the Street side. Price/quality ratio is anyway very good

I went to a concert at Kulturforum so for me the location was ideal, close to bus and U Bahn stations.I couldn't get lost. However, I would probably put a sign at the corner of the street indicating the direction of the hotel since it is at a big junction and foreigners might not notice the hotel at once. Otherwise, everything was lovely.

The hotel was nice, we were 2 people staying in one room for two nights, and we have been given a huge double room with a total of 5 (yes, FIVE) beds! They were nice enough to leave 4 packs of gummy bears on the table. There was free wifi, but no free breakfast. What baffled me is that there was a glass bottle of sparkling water standing on the table in our room, with a 4 euro price tag attached to it. At first I thought it was just complimentary, but then my doubt kicked in and I got a feeling that they are going to charge us 4 euros if we ever open that bottle. So they put it there to tempt us. Very sneaky. In the end, I never touched it. Oh yea, when we were checking out, the receptionist wanted to charge us 15 euros for a breakfast, when we NEVER used it at all! He sounded so sure about it, too: "That'll be 15 euros for 2 breakfasts". That incompetence really shocked me. In the end, they checked the list and found out that it's someone else wrote down our room number when signing it.

Staff very cold and scarcely motivated or keen to help. Most of them, at the reception, look like bored from any request. Garage is handful, but not immediate to reach it. They had sold me a big single beds, but it was actually two small beds I had to get them close. Bathroom is very small. Position if good enough, being very close to bus and metro stations. A lot activities (restaurants, banks, prostitution) in the very close surroundings. If only the staff at the reception smiles once in a while....

The hotel suited my needs and purse perfectly. My room was so quiet that I was astounded by the number of guests who turned up for breakfast; how come I hadn't heard more noise? The breakfast too was excellent and very good value. The room was beautifully clean, and had no unecessary extras. The only slight remark I would make is that I am not a large person but found the shower rather small. I kept hitting the water lever when washing. Otherwise, thank you for a very enjoyable stay.

The breakfast too expensive so we went to a great Cafe just around the corner for a quarter of the price! All the rest stuff about the hotel were great (room space, clean bathroom, Ubahn near)

Everything was very good and pleasant. Except for the rooms on the front (street) side: the noise of the traffic (3+3 roads plus in between the railway for the city trains) was extremely loud and penetrating. The noise could only be quieted by closing the windows, but since it was very warm weather, that was hardly an option.

I doubt the hotel is really the rank 4th of travelers choice in the Tripadvisor website. That was my reason to chose. The hotel is clean and well managed with a relatively good location, There is no refrigrator at the rooms, washing bassin is too small to wash face, backyard construction was disturbing throughout our stay, the third bed was unreliable with broken supports, and only one (out of three elevators) would reach to 5th floor. Apart from above complains, the reat of features of the hotel was reasonable. Cannot really recommend, perhaps I would look for a better option in Berlin.

Reasonable hotel for the price, but nothing special. Clean room, no kettle or iron but did have hair-dryer. Some problems were not handled quickly or well (leaking bathroom sink took two days; complete denial of problem when the wifi went on the blink, and took hours to fix it), but other staff were very friendly and helpful. Very close to one of Berlin's red light districts, so if it's a problem (or advantage) to occasionally get accosted, it's worth noting. Not far from Winterfeldstrasse, where there are OK restaurants and a good market on Saturdays (& Wednesdays?).

I am happy I booked through venere. Everything went smoothly and I have no reason to complain. The rooms are nice, the staff friendly and efficient. The only flaw I find is the description how to reach the hotel, because the metro station mentioned has been discontinued. We had to walk around a bit to find the hotel; the more as the street numbers on the two sides of Buelow street don't run simultaneously. One side goes ascending; the other one descending. That took some time to figure out. Otherwise: I can only recommend the dea. But be quick: the hotel is hugely popular!

This hotel would have been fine. It's right by the U-bahn, making it easy to get around, but there's not much right within a couple of blocks. You're better off taking the U to Zoologischer Garten or the S to Savignyplatz for food/things to do in the area. The bed's were miserable. I could feel every spring. The wireless internet was highly unreliable. We went a few days without it in our 7 night stay. Though some of the staff were nice and helpful, others gave us a lot of attitude or just weren't friendly. It was like our asking about something was a chore, especially when it came to our asking about the internet that wasn't working. We didn't try the breakfast, so I can't comment on that other than the fact that it was overpriced. There is a restaurant at Savignyplatz called Schwarz's Cafe, which is open 24 hours and always serves breakfast. Berlin is awesome, but if I were returning, I would rather stay near Savignyplatz in the West or Unter den Linden in the East.

The rooms at the Hotel Agon must be paper thin because we heard yelling and screaming and what sounded like doors slamming and running down the corridors until late, late into the night. Eventually fell asleep so don't know when it stopped. I felt like I was in a college dorm. No management enforced quiet. Also, the staff was abrupt.

The hotel is 3 stars superior (not 4 as indicated). It is anyway a good hotel with large and clean rooms, even if the structure is not brand new and sometimes the room forniture is not in perfect conditions. The hotel employees are really competent. The hotel is also very near to a station of underground line U2, which touches the most touristic places of Berlin. The hotel surroundings are maybe the only negative aspect: the zone is not very nice especially at night. Anyway we never had feeling of danger and the underground station is very near the hotel. We payed 50 euros a double room and for this price is a really excellent choice.

The staff at the desk at check-in was great. He assisted with parking, recommending not to use the hotel's lot. Also was great with directions for the next day's excursion. The location seems questionable with the busy road and the working girls on the corner, but if you walk one block over, there's a very pleasant restaurant and bar area. We are very seasoned travelers of Europe and don't expect much, so this hotel is perfect for our style. The breakfast is way over priced, don't bother. There are bakeries and coffee shops everywhere.

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel and in Berlin very much. We only stayed one night as we were travelling on to Dresden to visit a friend

Second visit to this Hotel. Great value for money and an excellent location. Not really a four star hotel (more like three star superior) but a high standard all the same. The immediate local area does not offer much but a 10 min walk west takes you to an area full of bars and resturants.

a pretty good rate quality/price though some weird things are to be noticed: it seems you should turn on TV unless you be charged for 9,9 euros/day... of course i didn' see the notice but i hadn't been charged. And breakfast is ok but 12 euros is very expensive for Berlin (not included in room rate).

Excellent location on the U2. Everything was wonderful. Breakfast was really good, but seems to be included for some guests, but not for others. Would definitely stay here again. Excellent value, even during the World Cup!

The guy mentioned above was not mean, but he is not friendly either. The train is extremely close (bonus) it is needed because you don#t want to be in that area. There were strange looking prostites lurking around. A great place to put your head at night.

Very clean, and quiet hotel. Staff friendly, except the maids, and the mini bar servicer interupted several times, even with the do not disturb sign displayed on the door. Excellent location with public transportation very close. Wireless internet not provided free as infered on the website. Would use this hotel again

Ottima pulizia, camere spaziose.

Yes...is e good hotel, and located very well, only a particolar... the passage for the rooms very very small and gloomy, like an hospital in a film horror... but perfect to spend some day for your city-holilday. Sorry... other particolar... wake up early in the morning if your airplane start after the lunch... I missed it.

It seems a decent hotel with perfect location (near the subway). However one poor employee can ruin the entire effort and reputation of this hotel. Be careful if you plan to enjoy the night life then you shouldn't stay in this hotel. It is because the night staff his name Mr Moeller is very rough to people who come back to the hotel during at night. He would threaten the guest saying to call police or lock you out if you don't follow his rule and he is absolutely unprofessional as a hotel employee and talks impolitely to the guest. Watch out of the poor employee as him.
