How to reach Grand Hotel Esplanade Berlin

By car
From the A2 motorway (Hanover) and the A9 motorway (Leipzig / Nuremberg): at the Potsdam motorway junction, or at the Werder junction, change to Berliner Ring A10 towards Dresden. Then exit at motorway junction Drewitz onto the A116 motorway towards Berlin. At motorway junction Funkturm, take the Messegelände / ICC International Congress Center exit. Exit the A115 motorway, and the ICC is now on your right. You are now on the Messedamm. Keep on driving and turn right at the Messedamm / Kaiserdamm intersection. Stay on Kaiserdamm in the direction of Ernst-Reuter-Platz. Take the 2nd exit of the roundabout. You are now on Straße des 17. Juni, which takes you to the next roundabout, Siegessäule. The first exit is Hofjägerallee, which becomes Klingerhöferstraße after the first traffic light. Continue on the left lane, and turn left after the bridge towards Mitte / Potsdamer Platz into Lützowufer. Grand Hotel Esplanade will be located on the right hand side. The underground parking is situated only a few yards/meters behind the hotel entrance, on the right.
From the A24 motorway (Hamburg / Rostock): take the motorway junction Havelland onto Berliner Ring towards Berlin-Zentrum city center. At motorway junction Oranienburg, change to A116 towards Berlin-Zentrum city center. At motorway junction Charlottenburg, change to A100 towards Berlin city center, and take the Spandauer Damm exit. Take a left into Spandauer Damm towards Charlottenburg, pass the Charlottenburg Castle, and continue straight towards the city center on Otto-Suhr-Allee until the Ernst-Reuter-Platz roundabout. Take the 3rd exit, and you will be on Straße des 17. Juni, then follow the above directions.

By train
From the railway station: take the commuter rail (S-Bahn) 5, 7, or 75 towards Spandau and get off at Zoologischer Garten. Change to bus no. 100 for Prenzlauer Berg, and get off at Lützowplatz. Total traveling time is of 15 minutes, plus a 3-minute walk from Lützowplatz Square to the hotel.

By airplane
From Berlin Tegel Airport: take the X9 bus from the Haupthalle main station to Zoologischer Garten and follow the above directions. Total traveling time is 33 minutes, plus 3 walking minutes.
From Berlin Schönefeld Airport: take the shuttle bus to the commuter rail station S-Bahnhof Schönefeld. There, change to Airport-Express towards Nauen, Wittenberge, or Stralsund (at 30-minute intervals starting from 5.13 a.m. to 1.21 a.m.) to Zoologischer Garten. Then continue like before. (Traveling time: 40 minutes.)
