Dietrich-Bonhoeffer-Hotel - Berlin

Stayed here for the fashion trade show Bread & Butter. I wouldn't recommend it for that purpose - it's a bit off the main strip (friedrichstrasse) and is a more 'German' hotel than an international 'flashy' affair (which my boss would have liked!) Breakfast is fine, staff are friendly, it IS central, but its not the most contemporary or 'slick' hotel in central Berlin.

The hotel was modern and clean, the staff were all very polite and helpful. The room was very light and airy, but not that large, ok for one. Breakfast was very nice, plenty of it and good quality. The hotel is situated within a few hundred metres of the U and S train station with good access to all parts of the city.

I travelled with my parents, who have some mobility problems. The hotel was fine for them, though the steps up from the street into the lobby were a bit taxing for my mother. The restaurant in the hotel was an unexpected bonus - serving good food when we were the only people in the room. The location can't be faulted - just 10 minutes walk from Unter den Linden and Museuminsel.

Do to the lack of air conditioning, the windows has to remain open at night...letting in all of the noise of the apartment dwellers in the adjacent building...who liked to party on their balconies...some nights until 3 a.m. The staff were great, the restaurant used for the breakfast was great and the location was very convenient.

The hotel is a good place for business or short private trips (3-4 nights) to Berlin. The location of the hotel allows visitors to save a lot of time to go from one place to the other due to the good infrastructure. In the evening there are good chances to visit local and international restaurants and pubs which do not have the typical boaring touristic flair of the main touristic areas. Here you can contact interesting people who spend there life in this area.

It was an ecxellent experience!we stayed in the hotel for 5 nights and we were very pleased with the size of the room, the cleanliness, the furnishing ect. it was a hot day so we had to leave the windows open at night, it was a bit noisy as the room overlooked the busy Oranienburg strasse, but this was minor in relation to the general impression that the hotel left us. We loved the healthy breakfast, very good quality of cheeses and fruit. the staff were attentive too. Also the location was ecellent, within easy access both to public transport and the major tourist sights. There is no access to the internet in the hotel, however, you can get internet access to a hostel next door. What I have to mention too is that the actual rooms are much nicer than the web photos, which do not give justice to the size, the light and the comfort of the rooms.Finally the 80 euros per night that we paid was a real bargain for such a central hotel. I would definately come back again.

The hotel is well located, walking distance to downtown and the main attractions, and also to metro, train and tram stops.

Great 3 star hotel, very clean and comfortable. Close by to all main attractions, would definitely recommend it for price and location!

Spacious single room, very clean and bright and lovely view of Bode Museum dome right outside my window! Excellent location--short walk to museum island as well as to S-Bahn station. Lovely breakfast room with excellent selections each morning, including lots of fresh fruit. Truly a hidden jewel of a hotel. The staff were welcoming and very helpful.

A room that had everything a traveller needed. The location was excellent. Great value for money!

It was my first stay at this Hotel and I would definitely stay there again.
