City Hotel Ansbach - Berlin

Hotel should put a topmatress on top of the other matress, so the bed would be higher and you do not feel the bottom of the bed. They should install a lamp by every bed. The coffee and the tea water was never hot.

It was a pleasant stay, good breakfast buffet and good price-quality relation. The location is excelent with very good communications U-bahn in Witternbergplatz and S-bahn in Zoologischer garten.

Fantastic friendly staff and excellent location for enjoying the wonderful, vibrant and extremely friendly city of Berlin!! Would definitely stay again. Only a couple of slight problems: the bed was a bit uncomfortable and a fair bit of noise through the windows that didnt seal properly. On the whole though I would certainly highly recommend this hotel.

Will never stay at this hotel again: beds were really poor, almost broken, making noise each time you turned in your bed! Should be changed immediately. No noice insulation, you hear everything what the russian speaking maids loudly talk in the corridors. No changing of towels although there were no "save the environment" usual alerting text in the bathroom, etc. VERY POOR OVERALL QUALITY FOR THE PRICE OF 95€ FOR A TWIN ROOM!

A really recommended location for a stay in Berlin. Centrally located (near Bahof Zoo and Wittenberg subway stops), close to shopping centers, easy to move from here to all interesting city spots, monuments and historical places. Simple but good breakfast included. Room very clean and quiet (just a bit small, but with a good bathroom). Very good quality/price ratio. The "Official" check-in time is in the afternoon, but if you arrive in the morning they can store your luggage in a closed room or if your bedroom is ready (like it happened in our case) they will check you in anyway.

Very nice structure, with always smiling, competent and welcoming personnel. Ideal for a quiet stop, so close to the city centre you can go on foot.

Conveniently located a short walk from the underground. The room was clean, as were the WC and shower facilities.

El personal es estupendo, muy amable, y la ubicación es bastante buena. Las habitaciones muy anticuadas, con limpieza dudosa y la cama, qué horror de cama, peor que un catre(yo cogí con baño dentro, no me quiero imaginar las que no lo tenían!). Lo peor, el ruido infernal de las habitaciones, las paredes deben ser de papel! Yo no lo recomendaría porque después cambiamos de hotel y por el mismo precio encuentras hoteles de mayor calidad. Repito que el personal fantástico!

The Hotel is very nice, comfortable, with a good buffet breakfast and in a great location, very close to Wittenbergplatz U-bahn station and the Zoo. Watch out the price of the Single Room WITH bathroom on Venere.com! I booked a single room with bathroom for 40 euros but that's the price for single WITHOUT bathroom. Once there I got a single with bathroom for 55.

The rooms are simple but very clean. The area is quiet. Breakfast is included and very copious.

The hotel is cute and we didn't mind the shared bathrooms. The staff was very friendly and the buffet was excellent! Good location the only down side is that the hotel could use a little sprucing up. Not well lit in some places and afew things need to be fixed. Other than that, great budget place to stay. Would stay again.

El hotel es muy confortable, esta muy bien ubicado, cerca del metro y en una zona comercial muy agradable. La habitacion es buena, limpia, aunque no muy grande. El baño es amplio, pero la puerta de la ducha es bastante incomoda. El unico detalle, fue que pedimos una habitacion matrimonial y nos dieron una con dos camas individuales. El desayuno es muy completo.

THe first room i got was hot and noisy. Some guests didnt care about disturbing others. I asked for another room and it was quite good. Be aware of room 217! The cleaning and roomdoing is spotless and the welcome in the reception was very friendly.

This is the third time I´ve stayed in this hotel for the past two years, so obviously I find it very good value.Location : Very central location on a quiet sidestreet in what used to be West Berlin.Rooms:Nothing fancy but clean and well kept. Nice and helpfull staff. Great buffet breakfast...! .Transport:U-Bahn Wittenberg Platz 2 minutes away.

The breakfast is very good . The rome is a little small but clean. The location is good.

In many ways the hotel surpassed the expectation.The breakfast was good (though for a week stay a bit repetitive),the cleaning of rooms was excellent and the shower/toilet(we chose a non suite room) was also excellent.The location also turned out to be very good and the price for the overall service was very good value.

This was the first time I stayed at Hotel City Hotel Ansbach and it was a good time. Staff was very kind. If I return in Berlin I will stay here again. The place is good: near you can find Metro station, and some bus stop (including bus 100 and some nightbus); many restourants and shops.

Dopo 17 anni sono ritornato a Berlino, devo dire che per il rapporto qualità/prezzo di questo Hotel è ottimo (10) , pulizia, tranquillità, servizi, ecc, tutto ottimo, la colazione abbondante e varia; inotre la posizione centrale dell'Hotel lo rende particolarmente strategico a meno che non si intenda gravitare sulla zona est con la quale è comunque ben collegato dalla metropolitana; consiglio a tutti questo Hotel.

We spend one week end on april in Berlin. It was quite expensive for quality of bedroom and service. The bedroom was tiny and the staff was not friendly. The bedroom had several defects( curtains broken, the shower leaked, the mattress wasn't good quality...etc).

Ok economy hotel, located quite close to the zoo, Kaiser-Wilhelm church and transportation (bus and bahn). My room was a low price one, but I had no problem sleeping there.

The hotel is well situated in the heart of (the former)West Berlin, only 8-10 mins walk from Zoologischer Garten station which is served by the S Bahn trains including S9 to Schonefeld airport and 2 or 3 mins. from Wittenbergplatz for the U Bahn underground and the Ku`dam main shopping street. It is a basic hotel but the reasonable price includes a buffet breakfast although there didn`t seem to be any cooked breakfast e.g. bacon & eggs.I had only one or two minor problems to do with lack of towels one day & my key temporarily mislaid both being rectified by the receptionists,so no real complaints. I would consider staying here again.

We were there during the World Cup Final, so everything was extremely expensive. However, we enjoyed our stay at Cuty Hotel because it was so close to so many attractions and main streets.

The room was clean. The hotel was centrally located and I managed to see Berlin very easily. The buffet breakfast had a huge variety of choice. Excellent quality-price rate.

The hotel didn't have any non-smoking rooms. The first room I was offered smelled terrible of smoke. However, the receptionist was very helpful. She gave me three different room keys so that I could chose the least smelly room myself. I arrived at 10 AM in the morning, and was still able to get my room right away. That was really excellent!!!

Good price-quality relation. Hotel is conveniently located close to public transportation and restaurants. Rooms are simple and functional but kept very clean. Breakfast was abundant. Lift is an older model and therefore a bit slow, but working well. Staff was courteous and tried to accomodate as much as possible. Overall, property is kept well and clean. Would recommend Hotel and would also consider staying there again when I am in Berlin.

Great place and fantastically priced, only grumble i would have would be that the room was rather cold, they didn't seem to want to put the heating on.

The room was simple and we shared a bathroom on the same floor which was OK and we never had to wait. The breakfast was very good and the breakfast room clean and bright. The hotel was conveniently located in the western centre close to the s-bahn and the 100 bus.

The room was ok. The breakfast was excellent except from no fruit. The two single beds did not keep up with the exeptations of a double-bed in the picture and they made a terrible noise. There was no hairdryer in the bathroom. The reseptionist gave us a very nice recommodation about a good restaurant!

Das Hotel ist sehr zentral, die Betten lassen etwas zu wünschen übrig, das Frühstücksbuffet ist sehr gut, die Toiletten und Duschen sind nicht nah genug an den Zimmern und eindeutig zu wenig!

Make sure you specify of you want separate beds or one bed. I put in for a double room for my husband and I and we ended up with two separate beds. Their solution was "push them together what is the problem". Other than that, the shared bathrooms weren't bad, and always available. There were 2 per shared floor, and I never had to wait. The breakfast was the most substantial of our whole trip to Europe. The staff could have been friendlier, but they weren't rude. No Air conditioning and NO phone in our room. You also need to request smoking or non-smoking. For the money, it was a good room.

Very good location in the centre of Berlin, just 3 minutes from the zoo. The room is small, breakfast (included in price) is huge, good price.

The room was clean though sparsely furnished.This was to be expected as the rates were very cheap.the hotel was centrally located and we managed to see a lot of Berlin very easily.Linen was changed every day and the buffet breakfast had a huge variety of choice,Athoughtful gesture was a bottle of bubbly on new years eve and some chocolates!Amazing value at 50 euro for the room .

Excellent buffet breakfast and competence of employees, especially Vicky. Good location. Perhaps it would be better for me and my friends to have telphone in both the rooms we booked, just to syncronyze ourselves.
