Central Inn am Hauptbahnhof - Berlin

Clean and nice rooms, clearly not a hostel but a "real" hotel! The wi-fi ist for free - even on the rooms. Towels and bed sheets are clean, too.

Easy for transportation, near halte and central station, difficult to find receptionist because the hotel at second floor. room clean and warm , shower ok. the room for triple comfortable enough.

The room was large but the layout was terrible. The bathroom door could not open all the way because it hit the bed! Furnishings were shabby as was the whole building. But it was clean. Would rather pay more for a better hotel.

I had no problem with this hotel. I would recomend it. Good ration price-quality. I was asked to pay when I arrived. I paid in cash. The biggest advantage is the location of the hotel. It's very close to Central Train Station (walk cca 10 minutes). Bus stop is located in front of hotel. I was accommodated in a single room with shower and WC. They changed towels every day. Room and bathroom was clean. Only wifi signal in the room was weak, but worked. Breakfast in next-door restaurant was sufficient.

The hotel is quite small and old but close (about 10' on foot) to Berlin central station, from which you can easily reach Tegel airport (TXL bus takes about 20' to Tegel) or move around the city with the Schnell-Bahn. Rooms are small (bathrooms in particular) but clean and quiet. Not very far from the hotel, you can go to Oranienburgerstrasse (2 S-Bahn stops form the central station), a street full of bars and restaurants (for a typical Berliner meal we recommend 'Gambrinus').

The position of the hotel is very central, th building is an old style one and very nice. probably I would have been differently evaluating the overall quality of this hotel if I wasn t given with a room which to me seemed being a previous WC / shower room. 2 mt long by 3 mr wide with a small window and shower cab almost attached to the bed.... for 35 euro!

The hotel is just 500 metres from Berlin Central Train Station...this is the only advantage. The negatives of the hotel are: 1. The receptionist ask for the money every day 2. Isn't a hotel, actually is the second floor of one old building 3. Shower is very small and was clogged 4. Our balcony was connected with the neighbours window and did not even have curtains 5. Hasn't got restaurant, and the pub in the ground floor isn't clear 6. The lift is very small 7. The receptionist give us 3 keys. One for our room, one for the building door and one for the floor door.

The entrance hall seem the entrance of Addams' family house!!! The room was been very noisy! (I hope only the rooms looked out of Alt-Moabit street) and it wasn't clean, so, a lot of powder! The tent are smalls and do not cover totally the windows! The towels are very small, cleaned and changed every day and it's impossibile to receive a small new sachet of shampoo every day! :-( BY THE WAY, GOOD ONLY FOR THE POSITION! (Near the B.Haupfbanhoff main train station!)

Had to stay overnight in Berlin & take train next day, so was useful for the position; but was very spartan, definitely not a place to use for anything other than an overnight or budget visit! Needed to ring bell to get admittance, but fortunately lift up to hotel worked. Breakfast had to be taken in the restaurant next door, which could be unpleasant if it was raining! (& there was no drink making facilities in the room) The late tired arrival was not improved by an unfriendly welcome, though the next morning different staff were very pleasant. Needed taxi to get to train station (not in walking distance) or airports, not cheap & generally drivers spoke little English!

I had another hotel cancel my reservation so I had to obtain a replacement on very short notice while I was already traveling in Germany. Through the Venere website I was able to find the Central Inn and book the room one day prior to arrival. The hotel is about a 15 minute walk from the Berlin Hauptbahnhof and is in what seems like a residential area. It doesn't appear like a typical hotel. The sign was on the building but the entrance was locked requiring that you ring a buzzer to get in. Reception is on the second floor. It was a few moments before anyone appeared to check me in. The woman was friendly and spoke enough English that we could converse. My room was on the 4th floor and turned out to be a 2 room efficiency. The building itself is very old and also occupied by professional offices on the lower floors and (I think) apartments in another section. The age of the building gives it a musty feel. Overall a good value if you don't need 5 star accommodations. I would stay there again.

Very good accomodation, cheap wi-fi internet in the rooms, very close to everything in Berlin: you can go on foot to the Hauptbanhof, to the Raichstag etc.

This hotel is modest but very well located if you need to go to the Berlin main Railway station (HptBanhof). Caution : more expensive if you pay by credit card !

The rooms are really small, but clean. Some rooms have not good internet connection. The staff doesn't talk English very well. Is easy to get the hotel from the Central train station.
