Ugly hotel and the awful personnel (all - from Russia). In principle, that's all! Hotel for fans of exotic: it's lake private hotel in Sochi in 80th years. Rooms are delightful (the window of neighbors comes to a corner of your bedroom!) ! Bathroom - is a poem (the one who weighs more than 90 kg can't independently get out from the toilet - the place is too narrow). And, for the same money there is a much more pleasant (even network) hotels in this remarkable city! I regret very much that I choose this hotel (I left even day earlier).

The hotel lacks facilities like 24 hours service, Reception is only between 0800-2300 , there is no toilette at the room and no telephone. there is not an elevator at the hotel. the staff doesn't speak English and hardly speaks German , they master Russian.

Location nr Savigny S-Bahn and streets with ten Asian restaurants on each block was outstanding. Wi-fi didn't work in my room - take computer to breakfast room. Breakfast OK but not excellent - no danish, hot cereals, eggs or bacon - just cheese and coldcuts. Initial flight of stairs w/ baggage was hell. Recommended for outstanding location.

Simple but convenient hotel very close to the Kudamm, the area is lovely, nice shops and restaurants. I stayed in a single room with an ensuite shower, it was very clean, the staff are speaking English. I just thought that the breakfast could be a bit better but apart from that it was a great stay.

Perfect location in a perfect neighbourhood (with bars, restaurants shops and the Zoo station within walking distance), easy to find, the sign indicates the entrance clearly. Friendly staff although their English skills were poor. I don`t speak German but my Russian is good so it was easy to communocate anyway. Good breakfast, I don`t eat meat but cereals, egg, two kinds of cheesse, tomatoes, cucumber, bellpeppers and good wholemeal bread were a perfect choice for me. Yoghurt, jam an fruit. The room was clean and spacious, and the bathroom was probably newly renovated with white files - literally spotless clean! Perfect job girls and thank you!! The rooms were cleaned every day and the ladies took their job seriuosly. I love hotels that share their location with regular flats and Cortina is one of them in Berlin. I was staying in a separate part of the building which I loved a lot. I soon had `my neighbours` and we greeted each others every day which was really nice. I really liked the old building with its fantastic high ceilings and big old windows. I loved the separate entrance, the backyard and the lift. All very charming indeed. The backyard was very quite, only during the last night there were some disturbing noises which made me close the windows. I enjoyed my stay a lot and I`ll definitely return! The only dissadvantage of the room was lack of a good table or a writing desk and a morror. I was supposed to work - write and use my laptop a lot.

I will recommend my friends this hotel. It is located at a distance of about 80 m from the S-Bahn Station "Savignyplatz". The staff speaks German and Russian.

The staffs are unable to speak English, not welcome customers, and not helpful. They don't smile at all. Though they said the check out time is before the mitday, they urged me to leave at 10:30 a.m. The way to the hotel showed in the website is not correct. There is another faster way to reach the hotel. The breakfast is just not bad. Total service is just match the price. If you want to save money, here is a not bad place.

Good place, nice room, excellent location, good breakfast. Staff could be a little more kind; one person does't speak english at all and it's difficult to interact.

Maybe I'm just used to the United States type of customer service, but it was no where close to being the same. The bathroom situation totally sucked, besides waiting for it, you would come into a smokey bathroom.... apparenly it's allowed to smoke in the bathroms there.

the hotel is located in an old Berlin house on the second floor. The room, the location, the service are good in relation to the reasonable price. the breakfast served was ok. We stayed in a 3 bed-room and it was our first stay at that hotel.

Very decent place to spend 1-2 nights. It's cheap and it's close to everything (especially to the D-bahn, Savigny Platz).

Ideal location near Savigny Platz and many good restaurants. S bahn is one block away. First room I had was the smallest hotel room I have ever seen. I was checking out after three days to move to another hotel and negotiated insted a room with four beds for 15 euros more (75 euros per night). Still seems a bit pricey. 24 - 7 internet cafe is two blocks away in a city with few such places. No English spoken at desk.

My room was cozy and quiet, there were a bed, sofa, shower, TV... I was a bit surprised by shared wc, but it was extremely clean and I never was waiting near the door)). Good hotel with friendly personal.

None of the staff spoke English, which is fair enough given that I was in Germany, however they were also completely indifferent to my attempts to converse in German via a phrase book. Additionally the woman on the concierge desk refused to take a payment by card which left me trolling around like a lunatic trying to find a bank machine in a slightly less than salubrious area in the dark. This reception was a bit of a shocker given that the Hotel's own "leaflet" indicates English friendly, and also since I heard the same members of staff conversing with various Americans in fairly good English. Perhaps it was just me or perhaps they just didn't like the English or my rudimentary attempts at German. Additionally I would advise any future travellers to go to the Savignyplatz S Bahn station since the Hotel is literally five minutes from there as opposed to the twenty minute yomp from Zoo Station.

This hotel has an excellent quality/price ratio, without economies on the prestations of the bathroom or the breakfast which were both excellent for an hotel of this category. In top of that it is next to a s-bahn station very well located and in a very nice area. I would recommend especially the restaurant next to the hotel (la Corte Etrusca - www.la-corte-etrusca.de), a top class italian restaurant with an outstanding welcome.

We stayed in Berlin only one night. I booked the hotel because the room was supposed to have 4 seperate beds and the hotel offered free parking. No parking space was available. The beds were not all seperate beds so one of us slept on the couch. The bathroom is way too small as was the tv. The woman welcoming us, didn't speak German very well. The breakfast was poor as was the quality of the room it was served in. (no space) The hotel is old and appears dirty.
