I stayed for four nights, and never once got a good night's sleep. There was some weird dripping or tapping noise outside, and when the cleaner turns up in the morning you can hear them a mile away. The rooms aren't soundproof, so you end up hearing everything - people walking in and out, etc. Good, handy location, friendly staff (English isn't great but they can still help you with transport etc). LOVE the bistro area.

Excellent accommodation, especially for price. Competent and friendly staff with adequate ability to speak English. Helpful when their attention was required. Room was serviced every day and a change of towels provided. Hotel was well served by public transport: the M45 bus from Zoo Station stops outside and the U-Bahn station is only a quarter of a mile away. Just one criticism: the plumbing tends to be a bit noisy!

A little bit far from downtown, but well served by buses (in front of the hotel) and subway (15 min by feet). 15 min from the Txl airport. Very nice employees. Phone not working in the room for receiving calls.

Staff was not good at English language, was polite and helpful but not cheerful. We got good advice on a nice restaurant. Very narrow lift. Carpet in room needed vacuming. We did not like the separate beds on our honeymoon. We thought that breakfast was included in the price, that was not the case. Hotel is west of the centre and is too far away from the pretty sights. The hotel does not provide information on public transport to and from the hotel.

I have traveled the world and this was bar far the worst hotel ever. This made my first two days in Berlin very discourging. I have never stayed in a hostel but by the pictures that I have seen, this is one step above, only becasue it had it's own bathroom. As for the shower, one end of the shower curtin was glued to the wall and the other end only covered half of the opening. Therefore, everytime we took a shower, the bathroom floor was soaked. I had to use the towels in the bathroom to soak up the water. I explained this to the front desk and they faught me everyday to get extra towels. They just could not understand what I was saying. Also, they would only give us one pillow per bed and the beds were very uncomfortable. The website claimed the rooms were sound proof, but if you are on the street side, it is very noisy and difficult to sleep. They claimed to be sold out so we couldn't get another room, however, I never saw more than a couple other people while we were there. The pictures of the hotel are very deceiving and only one person on site spoke English and she unfortunately wasn't there very often. The shops and any decent restaurants were a good 25 minute walk, and being a New Yorker, I'm usded to walking and fast. The TV worked intermittently and you could not call out from the phone in the room. The only saving grace was that they allowed us to check out early without a penalty charge.

The location is good. There is the bus stop just in front of the hotel if you would like to go/come to/from city centre (Zoologische garten). Also the castle of Charlottenburg is just in 12-15 minutes by walk. Many restorants in the same street, just couple steps from the hotel. The breakfast was very OK (even fruits), the breakfast room is clean and comfortable. There is the WLAN connection in the room - no problems to use it. Digital TV - more than 300 channels. I would suggest it. Just please notice, that the breakfast is NOT INCLUDED in the price. But I would recommen to take it any way. Satisfied customers

I stayed in a double room, 4th floor. It was during Easter weekend. From outside the hotel doesn't appear very attractive, it looks like an anonimous modern building. But room was quite large, and most of all I found the beds (though they were single bed and not a double bed) very comfortable. The room walls were recently painted, the bathroom was essential but functional. A very good surprise were the breakfast and the breakfast room, not definitely cheap (8€ pp) but rich. At least, location is quite practical since bus stop is just in front of the hotel, and U-bahn station is 5 minutes walking far from.

We like this hotel based on its location and price. The room is okay but the beds are very low. It has a clean bathroom, however, there is no soap provided but it's good I brought my own. We didn't smoke but there was an odor in the bathroom as if someone was smoking inside when we came back after dinner. We figured out that it came through the ventilation fan inside the toilet. When we opened the window, we were meet with dusts from the "window blinds". It needs cleaning. Their telephone at the room can't connect to the operator(reception) neither can call outside. To contact the reception, you need to dial the whole telephone number of the hotel rather than dialing 9 or zero. When I sent an SMS to my wife to call me at the hotel, the receptionist brought the handsfree telephone to my room and knocked the door when we were ready for bed. We stayed in the 4th floor and I need to go down to the ground floor to hand over the telephone to the reception area. The hotel staffs were nice and kind but they are not very knowledgeable to the point of interests in the city. One of them gave us the wrong directions, but I located it when I study myself the routes. The lights in the corridors are not sensitive enough to power on when we went out from our room, you need to move around and wave your hands inorder you will have lights on the floors. The complimentary breafast was all right. Chinese Restaurants are close to the hotel.
