I have stayed at Avra hotel in Benitses for my summer holidays (7 days) in Corfù. The place is very tidy, rooms are decorated with taste and although the hotel is on the main road it is very quiet. Especially the Monro family are very friendly and always willing to help also with ideas for activities and attractions to visit. Benitses is a small centre but at night it becomes lively with restaurants and shops open until late. I was hiring a car, which I strongly recommend (car/mbike hire services can be found everywhere, large parking area available on the hotel premises) or the bus service which seems to work well.
