We live in Spain and for some reason we had a brain storm and forgot our passports, the person who checked us in was not best pleased, and made it quite clear that we have done wrong. When you go for a day trip just 1 hours up the road, the last thing on your mind is PASSPORTS. Its unfortunate that first impression always stick, because apart from the initial welcome or not as the case may be, and the fact that Benidorm is definitely not for us, the hotel was OK.

The Don Pancho is a very well run hotel. The sign of a well run hotel is that it is low key, everything works, and it works well. It's not intrusive, but whatever you want you can get without a fuss. It works well. We will be going back.

Would definitely stay there again

A quality hotel which will appeal to the more mature tourist (over 40) as it is almost a child-free zone. Beautifully appointed, excellent food with plenty of choice and good service throughout. Only slight negative - the swimming pool is limited and definitely showing it's age but with the beach close by this is not a problem.
