Hotel Suisse - Bellagio

Hotel is perfectly located at the sea front. Yet few annoying details: - no elevator - no wifi - value for money is really poor but in accordance with local prices

Location in the town center close to the lake is excellent, polite staff, generally nice. Toilet was a bit threadbare.

Requested a junior suite because of the view described but had no view at all. had to keep shutters closed because of lack of privacy from neighboring rooms and other hotel

Lakeside room had a magnificent view. 3 stories of stairs with no lift difficult with suitcases. Hot water took forever to reach room, with a lot of water waisted. Staff not the friendliest. Except for the view, not worth the money.

The location is perfect overlooking the lake. It is worth paying extra for a lake view room. The room was spacious and furnished in an old world style. The traditional style is also reflected in the public areas.I can see it fitting the 'Grand tour' journeys of the Edwardian era but with modern facilities. There is no lift so be prepared for a climb but it is worth it! Did not dine at the hotel though as it concentrated on 4/5 course evening meals which did not suit us.The menu seemed extensive.

The managers/owners are clearly not putting any efforts into the hotel but concentrate on the fancy and reputable restaurant below. It really takes little to make sure the room is clean (spider webs, bath tub dirty, etc) and a bit more welcoming (paint the room nicely, some storage room in the bathroom, and some nicer chairs for the bedroom). They really seem to think only the cheapest furniture is good enough. The location is great with view over the lake and close to the boat station. However, for this price you get a lovely big room within the town and you are still close to the lake and its beautiful view! Please note that there is no elevator in the building and you will carry your luggage up the stairs yourself!

Excellent central location with fine views but services and facilities are very limited and reflected in the one star rating.Considering this the prices are heavily inflated and do not represent value for money.If I had paid about 60% to 70% of the actual price I would have considered it fair value.

Lovely hotel above a restaurant (part of the hotel) by the lakeside. Worth paying for a room with a view of the lake. Sitting on the balcony with a beer and a good book is a wonderful way to spend an afternoon. Fairly lively with people milling outside and conversations at outside restaurant tables so perhaps not for light sleepers who want to go to bed before 11pm.

Hotel Suisse met my expectations. The room was very clean and the hotel location is right in the center and the lake. We stayed 6 nights in Bellagio.

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Suisse very much. It was a perfect spot to explore the Bellagio area and the staff gave us very helpful tips. The room was comfortable and clean and had a brilliant lake view - amazing! The older-style furniture gave a lovely home-style atmosphere, and a marble-topped dresser is much nicer than something from Ikea! We would recommend Hotel Suisse happily to our friends.
