Don't stay here unless you're a big fan of unreconstructed communist-era retro toursim

The location is excellent - especially for getting to the airport.

i was very pleased with the central location of the hotel within the city, my room was bright, comfortable, spacious and very clean. the staff at reception and room service were extremely friendly and helpful. another advantage was that there is an internet cafe with printer in the ground floor of the same building. the only drawbacks were the fact that the guy who was supposed to re-fill the breakfast buffet took pleasure in being rude and unhelpful instead and that the matrass in the bed seemed quite worn.

The location of the hotel is excellent and the price (42 euro for a dubble room) very good value. But the rooms were so warm due to the lack of any form of airconditioning - not even a fan. The worst thing about the hotel, though, is the breakfast: a huge table full of rather disgusting food, watered out juice, lousy coffee. Apart from breakfast, ok.

As late arrivals, first night was not pleasant. Bad room, bad bed, bad shower, bad toilet. After looking at 5 different rooms next day, getting the manager to follow us around, getting some repairs made to a shower unit, and instructing the maid how to make a bed, (don’t think it was her fault just doing the best she could with what they gave her) we stayed a satisfactory extra night. Government owned and not properly funded. Our advice, get there early and pick your room.

There are two different Slavija: a four-star pavilion, and a two-star one. You can easily end up in the state-socialist two-star pavilion, last furnished in 1965, with a disquieting floor-covering carpet, a toilet with no windows nor ventilation system, and a complicated electric system - sometimes working, sometimes not. Breakfast is almost fine, but the staff is as unfriendly as can be.

Good value for money.Location excellent. Breakfast nutritive! To the future guests:Enjoy whilst you can-soon it will be four or five stars, and maybe you will not be able to afford. Today Slavija caters for the youngsters, and some of the ghosts to whom Belgrade is one vast "memory lane",for whichever reason.

Slavija** was once a glamorous JAT hotel. Yet, currently it is rather worn out. Nevertheless, the linen was clean, the breakfast was fine and the location was excellent. The hotel was on a walking distance from the city landmarks. The personnel was helpful and friendly. To sum up, we enjoyed our stay at Slavija** Hotel in Belgrade. I recommend it to people who look for a comfortable and safe sojourn with an optimal balance between cost and service.

Just a one night stay, was looking for a budget hotel and got one with good value for the money. There were several school sports teams staying at the hotel, and they made a lot of noise, so it was difficult to sleep at times. The room is also a bit on the old and rusty side, but overall was quite pleased with the responsiveness and knowledge of the staff, the location of the hotel, and the services offered.
