As a frequent traveler between Los Angelus and Beijing, I prefer such kind of hotel style which is the mixture of Chinese old cultural and modern living facilities. The hotel is located in the traditional center of the modern Beijing and you can easily find the decent restaurants and small shops nearby. Perfect experience in Beijing and perfect service in this hotel. The hotel staffs have been my friends now.

If you want to feel the old Beijing you have to stay here. Ok, the taxi drivers won't be satisfied to drive in the hutongs, but you can drop- off in the next avenue only 3 minutes walk to the hotel.The subway is only 7 min walk. Friendly staff. Excellent breakfast. You can also play with the strange parrot CZAR !!!

Great place to visit city center. Beautiful and authentic historical house, furnished with taste and confort. Clean, functional and very charming rooms with typical furniture and tea. Good breakfast in a cosy place, staff speaking english and very helpful. This great place was part of my experience in Bejing. I highly recommend it to anyone who looks for an authentic and charming place to "live" the historical chinese spirit.

I went to Beijing during the Olympics, so the hotel price is much higher than normal. But, I believe this hotel's a good choice for travellers. The staff is friendly. It's a 3 minute walk to the main street. There are a post office, a big supermarket, a Kentucky Fried Chicken, and several local restaurants right there on the main road. And, the subway station too. From the airport, do take a taxi. It's hard to find, if you haven't been to the hotel before.

MORE FOR THE SPIRIT OF ADVENTURE TYPE. $110 FOR CAB FOR TWO TO SAMITAI ENTRANCE TO GREAT WALL, THE MOST INTERESTING, CHALLENGING PLACE.
