Hotel is clean, rooms are spacious, a pleasant hutong with shops and restaurants seats nearby (apart from the hutong, hotel surrounding is not nice). The subway is far but a few buses are at the door - nr 60 goes close to the forbiden city in 15 minutes, number 623 goes to Dhongzhimen (last stop in 40 min) for airport express train. A few things on the bad side, we found the bed mattress very hard to a bit of back pain in the morning!. The staff welcoming was very cold, not even a smile and they do not have enough english to advise you on the surroudings and actually on anything you may ask. Also most of the informations inside the hotel are only Chinese characters written, for example, although it might be not so complex to use, the remote control for air cond is all in chinese, the hotel could have efforted in providing a simple page in each room with an english translation! Not so hard to arrange when you think they are booking foreigners..!! Hence, for those like us who are not good at mandarin, we found hotels with better staff language competence and welcoming, making things easier, and this in the same category. Having said that, it's still a good hotel, correct for money.

Good location near to Forbidden City by bus or taxi. Subway not so close. Long distance to Dogzimen Station (if going to Great Wall by bus). Couple of nice restaurants nearby. Also one nice Hutong just round the corner. Price for double room was REALLY cheap. For that price you should forgive some negativeness concerning the room. Recommending to young couple or singles.
