A good place to stay in Beijing. -The restaurant is open when the cook feels like working. Don't count on it to be open. -Most of taxi's will not take you to the hotel beacause of the trafic, so the subway is a good choice. -Wery helpfull staff.

The street was been asphalted so it was very difficult to acces or leave the hotel with luggage. We have the excavator working early in the morning and late at night next to our window. We recomend the hawaiian pizza and the cold beer. Employees with very good english.

Location is great in a Hutong area close to the Drum tower and only a short walk from the subway system. We did a couple of tours that were organised through the hotel (one to the Great Wall at Mutianyu and another to an Acrobatics show) and both worked out well. We would say this is a good 3 star hotel. Breakfast was not quite up to western standard, but adequate for a few days. The rooms were clean and comfortable, not big, but adequate for our needs. We had two adjacent rooms (2 adults, 3 children) at ground level and it wasn't too noisy. We did try to use the computer for internet connection but got a bit stuck by not being able to read the information in Chinese. I asked the desk staff for help but didn't get too far. Rooms were pretty clean but the bathrooms weren't cleaned very well. We had our laundry done for a good price and there were no problems.

We had an absolute great time at this hotel. While it was not your 5 star hotel. The actual room was clean and fine for our 2 week stay. What really made this hotel special was the people that we met. It almost was like an international "dorm" lounge area. Granted we visited for the Olympics, but really have no complaints. Looking back in hindsight, my only issue was we booked our hotel 8 months before we arrived due to us hearing that "all hotel rooms are going to be booked". So at the time of our booking we paid a very fair price considering what other Beijing Hotels wanted. Of course as the demand for hotel rooms did not materialize. We met people who had booked only a few weeks before their arrival at the hotel and at a cost that was 1/4 of what we paid. But oh well. the management and staff was very nice, very accommodating and definetely added to the overall enjoyment of spending the 2008 olympics in china.

Great location, staff always attempted to help. Rooms small with little storage space. Bathroom shower failed to drain wetting whole floor. Breakfasts very much 'do it yourself'. Expensive because of Olympics.

The staff was friendly but...... This place advertises it's self as a 3 star hotel. It is NOT! The lobby was full of people smoking, the room was so small only one person would be able to move around at one time, the window was up high near the ceiling so little sun light got in and the worst; it was full of bed bugs. A few minutes after I entered the room I noticed some small flat shape objects on the carpet. At closer look they seemed to have legs. The longer I was in the room the more I saw of these little things. I immediately checked out and found another hotel. When I got home I looked online for photos of bed bugs and sure enough they look exactly like what I saw. If I had stayed there 9 nights my luggage would have been infested also. Oh and taxis won't drive down the street/alley to the door so you have to walk alone at night. The shower is a pipe coming out of the wall, no showere area, no curtain. This place certainly did not look like it's photos. I do not recommend it.
