Hôtel Henry II - Beaune

It's the best hotel for the money in Beaune. All clean, nice room, the internet was exelent so was the breakfast. Thanks The parkingplace was a littlebit to little to park in with my car and maybe a little to expensive. But for the rest: i come again.

The front desk staff was extremely accommodating and helpful. We were made to feel very much at home.

We regularly stay at the Henri II which is correctly priced for Beaune and is ideally located close to the center. Additional value if you book it in advance : they have a garage. But better not having a big car !

We are regular customers of the Henri II hotel which we visit every year during the Baroque music festival. It is ideally located close to the historical center, it is quite comfortable and well priced. We will likely come back next year.

This hotel was very neat and comfortable.We were very satisfied. But, there were two things to complain about.One was that each section of the hotel's parking space was very narrow and it was difficult to park our medieum car.Another thing is that, the hotel receptionist insisted that breakfast was not included in the price and tried to make us pay for it.Actually,the voucher sent by Venere said the opposite.After all,she looked at it and admitted her mistake.I don't know why such a thing happened???Totally,however,this hotel was very good.

Interesting hotel, very well situated, less than 5 minutes walk to the historical Beaune and to the most famous wine cellars. Interesting quality/price ratio for a comfortable and very welcoming hotel. Good address !!!

A lovely hotel. VERY dear and helpful staff. Convenient parking within the hotel. We look forward to returning.

We have stayed in this hotel a number of times as it is an ideal en-route stopover for journeys south or north. Expect a centrally located, commercial hotel. Only breakfast and light snacks are available but nearby restaurants are plentiful. A big plus is the availablilty of an underground car park for which a reasonable charge is made. In summary, a very useful hotel that we would use again.

We had a nice, though quite small room and the toilets were separated from the bathroom, which is very unusual in hotels of that kind. Moreover, the price we paid was the one advertised on the site (venere.com): 75€ instead of 120€. If I have to go back to Beaune, I will certainly return to this hotel.

Standaard hotel en diensten. Vriendelijk personeel. Goede ligging, kort bij centrum. Garage is pluspunt. Wanneer niet rokerskamer gewenst, duidelijk vermelden!

I returned to Beaune to stay for a week after spending a day there earlier in the summer. I am a solo traveller, and Hotel Henry II was certainly the ideal place for me. A comfortable, pleasant and centrally located hotel--a converted 16th Century coaching inn--Hotel Henry II is staffed by friendly, welcoming people. I spent a very happy week there, and commend the reception and breakfast staff for their excellent service. >

The hotel staff was especially knowledgeable and helpful in making reservations at restaurants and for local events in the Beaune region. The hotel is within easy walking distance to fine restaurants and historical districts.

Except for the small (but clean) room, this hotel is an excellent value: Easy to find, great location just outside one of the main entries to the "Old City", pleasant, competent and helpful staff, an excellent breakfast and on-site underground parking (9 Euros).

The sun can enter some rooms fairly strongly in the afternoon. A plus in the winter, it could be a problem in summertime. Best to request accordingly. Overall, I had a brief but very pleasant stay.

At first it seems odd to find an American style hotel in an old French city. For example the breakfast was self-service and the coffee came out of a machine. On the other hand no American Best Western has real French bread. Also, the staff was friendly and helpful.

Small room but comfortable, clean and quiet. It was a bonus getting free breakfast - we weren't expecting that.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Henry II. We had a lovely large room with a desk for each of us and a balcony where we enjoyed the wonderful burgundy wines. The hotel is also well situated with all the sights just a short walk away. Also, the breakfast buffet was superior to most with considerable variety including yogurt, cheese, cold meats and even hard-boiled eggs. We highly recommend this hotel!

The bed was a poor quality so the night was very bad.

This hotel was a great find - terrific value for the price! Our room was huge and especially quiet. The staff was very helpful with restaurant reservations and directions. I would definitely recommend this place.

Exactly met my expectations. Everything went well and all things as presented on the website for this hotel were what we found to be true when we stayed at the hotel. Very convenient to the old town of Beaune. We enjoyed our stay.

Was easy to find, a good stop over and we were able to park our boat + car for 9 Euros the night in the garage. By the way, very advisable, I wouldn´t leave a packed car anywhere in that part of France at night unattended.

Very handy for town centre

This hotel is convieniently located close to the north entrance to the "walled" city center, and all locations within are an easy walk. Large room, and huge bath by any standard. Nice buffet breakfast and all told a nice stay.

Very pleasant

A great little hotel just on the edge of Beaune and very easy to get to from the Autoroute. The service and facilities a kept to a minimum and you get exactly what you pay for. An excellent place to stop over if you have a car full of kit on the way down to the Alps or the South of France as the underground car parking is excellent.

We were very pleased with the accomodations at the Hotel Henry II. Although the furnishings where not "new and modern", they provided charm and where functional. The staff was friendly and helpful - the breakfast included was better than most at the same level hotel. Location was very convenient for exploring Beaune. We would stay at this hotel again if traveling in the area.

Very good location within walking distance of city centre.On main road into city, very easy to locate. Our room on the back was very quiet.
