Frisia is a small hotel in a great location. The seaview is excellent, however too much traffic noise to enjoy the balcony. I have stayed there 3 times now and will come again. Proximity to restaurants, rail station etc, very good.

I had to go to Beaulieu for a wedding at the end of May and the Frisia was one of the recommended hotels. We liked the hotel's location, right in front of the harbor and the seaside. The location is relatively quiet as well as it's not in the heart of the town but about a 5-10 minute walk away. We stayed 3 nights at the Frisia. The room was small but adequate but we loved the (incuded) breakfast on our terrace overlooking the sea. The hotel was also a good base for us to explore the rest of the region: Nice, Monte Carlo, Cannes, Antibes etc. as well all the charming little hilltop and seaside villages. We rented a car and parking was easily available outside the hotel. There is a bar and restaurant downstairs as well. Although we didn't use these facilities they seemed pretty good.

The balcony overlooking the marina gave us one of the best views in Nice. We were happy to sit out and watch the world go by, with a couple of bottles of wine, etc. Without the view over the Marina, it would have seemed a little bit expensive. The rooms were basic, but reasonably large, very clean, and gave us everything that we needed to have a good stay. Breakfast is good value, and we would recommend it. Staff were very helpful and friendly. BEWARE - You CANNOT TRUST THE TAXIS. They will rip you off. Do not get in without having agreed the price first. We were ripped off by driver No 127, who charged 85 Euro from Nice to this hotel - it should have been no more than 50. The bus service is excellent and runs from outside the hotel(they were on strike on the day we arrived - unlucky!). One negative to the hotel frontage is that the road in front is quite noisy - it quietens down at about 11.00pm, but gets noisy again at around 7.00am, but the view more than compensates for this.

How to reach INTER-HOTEL Frisia

By car
Coming from France via the A8 highway , take exit N° 50 Promenade des Anglais/Nice Centre, then pass through the Promenade des Anglais. At the Nice port, take N98 road, direction Villefranche/Beaulieu/Eze via the Basse Corniche (seaside). Beaulieu-sur-Mer is situated after Villefranche-su-Mer, and the Frisia hotel is near the port, right after the church.
An alternative, if you want to avoid the Nice crossing during the rush hour, is to take exit N° 56 Monaco. After the tunnel and the second traffic light, turn right and take the D37, direction Cap d'Ail centre. On the Basse Corniche at the rotary, turn right into road N98, direction Eze/Beaulieu-sur-Mer.
Coming from Italy via the A8 highway, take exit N° 58 Roquebrune/Monaco, then road D51 direction Beausoleil/Monaco. On the Moyenne Corniche, take the N7 direction Monaco/Nice/Cap d'Ail, then once entered in Monaco, take the N7 direction Nice/Cap d'Ail Centre. After the Total gas station, stay on the left and take the D37 direction Cap d'Ail Centre. Finally, on the Basse Corniche, turn right at the rotary and take the N98 direction Eze/Beaulieu.

By airplane
From the Nice Côte d'Azur airport, a taxi will take from 30 to 45 minutes depending of the traffic and will cost around €50,00 (day-time and week days).
