The hotel was located a short distance from the lake up a narrow quiet side street and it is a short walk to the ferry terminal. There were lovely views of the lake from our very spacious balcony. The stay was most enjoyable and we would return there again. The breakfast was good quality with plenty of choice and the staff were friendly and helpful.

This is a very nice place to stay. Very quiet and a nice and gently daily wake-up call at 08.00 by the church bells and singing birds. Pool is nice, staff is nice. We - 4p(age upto 80+) - were really surprised and happy with this place. We stayed 5 nights here.

What a find! We have stayed in Baveno several times, most often at the Hotel Beau Rivage. Villa Azalea is a little further from the lake, but we still had a balcony with lake view, and at a much better price. Recommended!

A great facility in a good location. The reception staff was not informed. Windows do need screens.

Personel does not speak any other language beside Italian. From the site I got the impression that the hotel is sitting on the lake. It is not! The rooms have only a part view of the lake. The noise of the train is not so disturbing as some have said. Breakfast is really poor.

Good restaurant is Ristorante Posta close to hotel Villa Azalea. Clipper bar and snack at Imbarcadero has also a very nice view on Lago Maggiore and the islands.

The Villa Azalea is a comfortable, modern, family-run hotel. It is well situated for access to restaurants, the promenade and the ferry pier at Lake Maggiore. The surrounding Domo area of Baveno has charming narrow winding streets and the nearby church is very attractive. There is some noise day and night from the nearby railway line - but it passes quickly.

A recommander

We stayed in the hotel only for one night but we where very satisfied from the kindness of the staff that served us. the rooms where clean and nice organized ,breakfest was good, the location of the hotel is very near to lake front about 100 m by walking. we where allowed to park the car in the garage for the all night and the next half day for a charge of 5 euros only. we can say that this hotel was one of the best hotels we met during our trip in italy by the parameter of Quality vs. Price.

The breakfast is poor quality The surroundings hotel is noisy (station, habitations around)and the view since the bedroom is sad. It is a pity because the bedroom is very spacious and clean and the servants are affable.

The hotel is very conveniently situated in the old part of the village, within easy walking distance of the lake and railway station. It was comfortable and well run. The only downside was the pool, which is too small and claustrophobically enclosed for swimming or relaxation, and the area around it, which is not a garden at all. The ferry service is excellent, and offers access to the islands and villages on the lake - don't miss a ride on the bucket-lift at Laveno. While buses are infrequent, they are punctual and cheap-we'd recommend trips to Orta and Arona. The local Information Office was helpful and efficient.

We had a very pleasant stay in Villa Azalea, in the old hart of Baveno, the room was modern and the bed was ok. The breakfast was good, and the staff friendly. Baveno is nice, with a beautiful old church, and reasonable restaurants. Stresa is nearby and the boats will bring you to any town along the lake, and to the beautiful islands of Isola Bella, Isola dei Pescatori and Isola Madre. Thanks for making our stay so fine.
