Primary reason for choice is that it is the only central lake-edge hotel in Baveno, is large, with plenty of garden and good pools - and remember the main lake terrace is breakfast-sunny but cocktail-shady. Hotel is 'grand-parisien' in style but all modern techno under the surface as completely refurbed last 10 years. Heavily into conventions and seminars - but this keeps the hotel buzzing, so not a problem (there are separate restaurant/bar areas for them). It is slightly over-priced - but the extra is for the location, so, hey-ho...!

Un hôtel très agréable : superbes chambres aménagées avec goût, parties communes luxueuses, très belles piscines (ext et int) une vue superbe sur le lac (plage privée), très bon petit déj (15 euros tout de même), parking (8€/nuit). Très bon rapport qualité/prix. A vrai dire aucune critique à faire. Allez manger au restaurant de la poste juste à coté qui est excellent.

Compared to the quality/standing of the rooms/hotel, the diner served "à la carte" was more than poor and so much expensive. the restaurant is to be quoted 0-. The personnel is very friendly and obliging, but the quality of the food is unacceptable.

Chambres trop bruyantes ( ascenseurs toute la nuit ). Accueil inqualifiable, impolitesse.. Service déplorable dans le restaurant. Mauvais souvenir. On y retournera plus.

The Grand Hotel Dino offers 350 elegantly furnished guest rooms and suites, all featuring a private bathroom with hair dryer.Standard and Superior rooms with views are available on request (and subject to an extra charge). The Junior Suites, Suites, Senior Suites and Presidential Suite all boast a wonderful balcony offering a spectacular view over the lake.
All accommodations are equipped with air conditioning, safe, mini bar, satellite TV with LCD flat screen, Pay TV, direct dial telephone, Wi-Fi Internet access, and private terrace or balcony. Baby cots and specially equipped rooms for disabled guests are available upon request.
