The location is great, and the staff are all very hospitable and keen to help. This hotel was going to struggle to live up to the fantastic reviews. Whilst it was a very pleasant stay, and I would recommend it to others, room 11 has the sink in the room which results in a small room which I wouldn't want to spend more than a couple of nights in. Overall a very pleasant hotel, but the parts we saw are quite compact.

This is a hotel full of atmosphere. The only criticism I would put forward is the lack of an elevator

The hotel was very luxuriously furnished and decorated. the room was quite small but the bathroom excellent. The hosts were very friendly and helpful and although the breakfast was average, the array of teas and coffees was amazing! Quite expensive for what it was, but excellent location within walking distance of the centre of Bath.

Excellent service, atmosphere, owners, and directions - a great experience despite the steps. The location is excellent for easily walking the sites of Bath. The elegant breakfast was a great surprise. The owners were especially accommodating. His private garden is enchanting. Though there is no real lobby or gathering area, the privacy was fine. We would use Kennard House again.

Welcome and attentiveness of staff was excellent as was the room and breakfast. Only 2 slight probs - our room was right next to Reception area and therefore was noisy also it was noisy out in the street at night (late evening and intermittently up to 4am).

We stayed in Oct 2009 for 2 nights (part business and part leisure) and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hotel is spotlessly clean throughout, with charming decor, an attention to detail in everything, and helpful and welcoming hosts. We also enjoyed the excellent freshly cooked breakfast served in the beautiful dining room, with an additional wide selection of different foods, fresh juices etc. Bath accommodation is on average more expensive than other UK towns, but for the same price as many other Bath hotels (£98/double room/night), we would definitely recommend the Kennard for the high quality of accommodation, wonderful central location, friendly welcome and free car parking included in the price. (NB: A car is not even necessary as everything is within a few minutes walking distance.) We would most definitely go back to this hotel if staying in Bath in the future.

I cannot praise our stay here high enough. The standards were the highest, every little detail well thought out. The breakfasts were perfect, in fact Mary brought olive oil from her house when my husband asked for it! This is the best accommodation we stayed at in the UK, and I would unhesitatingly recommend it. The location is excellent, everything within walking distance.

Kennard Hotel is a fine Georgian house in a quiet street in the centre of Bath. The young husband and wife team who manage the hotel are highly professional with a positive eye for details of comfort and elegance in a spotless clean hotel, and yet are relaxed hosts. The breakfast was a treat. An enjoyable civilised place to stay. I shall certainly stay here if I return to Bath.

This was our first time in Bath; we had spent a few hectic days in London prior to our arrival and were so pleased to stay in a quiet, relaxing place! The room was comfortable, the shower was excellent, and the staff were incredibly friendly. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Very lovely hotel in row of townhouses. Large room beautifully decorated. Great breakfast included. Easy walk to central part of town. Very friendly innkeepers. Town was much more than expected. large room, small bathroom, no tub/small shower (in our room, not sure of others). Would definitely stay there again.
