Hotel Spalentor - Basel

We had a wonderful experience at this hotel. The staff were very helpful, the rooms were clean and spacious. The location was within walking distance of many sights and the tram stop was right across the street.

First stay in Basel, and this hotel is a good location. Parking at the hotel is very limited.

We caught the bus from the main station to Spalentor which is named after one of the ancient gateways to the old city nearby. Location was excellent and easy walking distance into the old city. This lovely boutique hotel suited us well and included a Continental breakfast. Our room was spacious and well appointed and on the quiet side of the hotel facing the little garden. Staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful. Free local transport card was a bonus.

A destacar las espaciosas habitaciones, la ubicación del hotel en relación al casco antiguo de la ciudad y la maravillosa amabilidad del personal. Lo recomendamos.

This was the third time we have stayed at Spalentor, because it's an excellent hotel in an ideal location for the City Centre. The breakfasts are particularly good!

This was our second stay at Spalentor, and it was just as good as our first! It is in an excellent location on the edge of the historic city centre, only 5-10 minutes walk from the very heart. The rooms are clean & spacious, and immaculately maintained. We particularly enjoy the breakfasts, which offer great variety, in a delightful setting overlooking Spalentor. The staff are always & helpful.

This was a delightful hotel, in a excellent location on the edge of the city centre. The breakfasts were first-class, one of the best we have had in a European hotel! The only downside was we asked for a non-smoking room, but this wasn't what we were allocated.
