Hotel La Penisola Villa Bellago - Corbara Baschi

We had stayed at this hotel in Nov 2007 and had a great time and fantastic meal so we decided to return 1 year later to have a second good time. We were very disappointed to be told on arrival that no food/nothing,not even a bowl of pasta was available that evening. Although we had time to find alternative food although not vert easy as this hotel is located well away from a town, we felt this spoiled our stay.

Beautifull setting, very well appointed with extremely competent, welcoming & friendly staff. Very good restaurant, which is handy due to the remote & winding road to any other eating places. However still easy daytime travelling to tourist sites.Obviously a car is essential.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel very much. It was not difficult to find the hotel at all. Once exiting the A1, simply go toward Todi and there are numerous signs directing you straight to the hotel. The hotel was quiet and the surroundings were beautiful. It was an easy ride to Orvieto which we visited on this trip and would have been equally convenient to visit Todi, another beautiful Umbrian town. We drove the short distance to Baschi, where we had a wonderful dinner in a trattoria in the old town near the parish church. Would highly recommend this hotel over staying in Orvieto Scalo, and we definitely hope to return when we visit the area again.

Other than being a little difficult to find initially, our stay at La Peninsola was very enjoyable. The directions on the website should be a little more specific. Rooms were spacious and the facility and its surroundings were lovely. Staff was very accomodating and helpful. It is conveniently located to many attractions, but away from the city. I would stay there again if I am in the area.

This was a good find. Very close to Orvieto and an easy drive into the city. The surroundings were excellent. The pool was nice after a long day sightseeing. The staff were very friendly. Would highly recommend and would definitely return.

An excellent location, but 11km from Orvieto, if that is where you are going. Very quiet, but a large party came in for dinner, which is apparently a regular event. Very helpful staff - including someone getting up early to give us breakfast at 6:30 am.

The property was delightfully located in beautiful surrondings. The room was confortable and clean. Unfortunately the person on the desk was not very welcoming. With a longer stay, we would have been able to use the facilities and pool, and also the restaurant which was closed on the night we arrived.

The rooms were actually cheaper than the original quote, so it was an excellent value. The location is tremendous, on a penisula in a large reservoir, so the views are great. The staff were very helpful. The hotel has a very nice pool as well which was a strong point since we were travelling with children. It's located about 15 minutes from Orvieto, so it's a good base for exploration.

Smelly drains near our room. Group playing live outside our room to a private party on Saturday night. ChemicaL smell in room. Expensive and limited dinner menu

Excellent spacious rooms with patio, awning and lounger/ chairs in postcard surroundings. Many facilities and good restaurant on site.
