Hotel Boston - Bari

The best part about Hotel Boston was its location, close to the old town and the main shopping areas of the city. The lobby and reception were nice, the room was ok, my only real complaint is that the air conditioner wasn't working very well and I would have liked the room to be cooler. I am pretty sure that the air was centrally controlled. We were here overnight after taking the Jadrolinija ferry from Dubrovnik and catching the train the next day, so the hot room wasn't as much of an issue as it could have been. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay.

Pretty good hotel and base for Bari sightseeing. Free WiFi, reasonable breakfast spread.

Initial impression poor - receptionist supercilious and unfriendly. Room very small, dark and depressing , tiny bathroom. Avoid room 308! On complaining another receptionist was very polite, helpful and changed my room without hesitation. Good situation - convenient for airport bus, old quarter of town, restaurants including a good self service.

Good structure but the breakfast was very insufficient and the breakfast staff was inappropriate .I had requested a non smoking room but my room smelled of smoke.

This hotel has a good situation near the old town and two parking also nearness, all the employees give us a lot of informations. A very good hotel

The room was small but adequate. I had no wifi in the room but was able to connect in the lobby. Breakfast was adequate. Front desk staff were very curtious and helpful.

It was a good place for a day before a long travel through Italy.

For a short stay the hotel was all right and the room surprisingly quiet. The bathroom was well equiped, but the shower cabin was absolutely too small. The old town with its castles, cathedral and narrow streets was interesting,and the seafront promenade with the view pleasant in the evening.

Bari as a city is basically closed on Sundays, so not a good day to plan to go sightseeing and shopping in the tourist precinct. Monday is was better than I had expected it to be, very cosmopolitan.

Fine hotel. Great location to for visiting Bari.

Reasonable cost but simple room. Very close to the old town(centro storico). Front staff were friendly.

We will return to the Boston Hotel next time we're in Bari. As to the location, the hotel was advertised as being close to the train station. It's quite a hike. Furthermore, there was no map--at least one that we could find--on the website.

Very good location for shops, restaurants and old town.

Close to ferry port, we came from Dubrovnik and took 3 minute taxi drive.

Very convenient after late night arrival on the Jadrolinija Ferry from Dubrovnik, Croatia. Also an easy walk to the Train station the next morning.

Good location, quiet rooms, especially for Rome, clean and pleasant bed and breakfast. Would be pleased to return.

The hotel is under construction. Also, they advertise internet, which means they have a public computer in the lobby. I had to ask for a room change, something I have never before done. Very expensive for what you get.

Price was very high for service provided, but I suppose you have to pay for location, which was excellent. Heating was stuck full on, and even with windows open in March, it was still very hot. Bed was extremely hard, but everything was clean and functional (apart from cooling).

Boston has a central location near the old town and main shopping area. It was easy to find being close to the station. Compared to other places I have stayed in Bari, it represents great value.

Hotel needs renovation.

Quiet Hotel, near the center of the town that is reachable walking. From the airport there is a bus that arrives 50mt from the hotel; the run is about 30', but the cost is very low.

Clean hotel, in the city, only stayed one night so did not get a chance to use the facilities much. Hotel staff very informative, especially with directions.

Really pleasant stay. I strongly recommend Hotel Boston. I will be back.

We booked the Hotel Boston for 5 days and found the service provided to be excellent. The location provides for easy access (walking) to the 'Old Town' and the 'New Town'. The staff at the hotel were open and friendly as well as very conscientious in regarding their duties. The purpose of our trip was for the Italy v Scotland football match and found the locals to be very receptive and friendly. We were warned by the hotel staff on numerous occasions to beware of pickpockets and bag snatchers around the 'Old Town' but did not have any hassle or problems. We would recommend this hotel unreservedly and would return and make use of this hotel and its facilities again, no problem whatso ever.

We only stayed one night and had to leave early in the morning(before breakfast) to catch a train. The room was plain but clean and the hotel was located within a block of the old section of Bari, and easily accessible to the train station. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. Didn't use any of the other hotel facilities. Overall it was a decent hotel for the money.

Wir waren 7 Tage in Bari im Hotel Boston. Das Hotel liegt recht günstig; Viele Restaurants und die Altstadt sind nur 5 min entfernt. Die Umgebung ist sehr angenehm. Zum Bahnhof geht man 15 min. Im Hotel war alles den Vorstellungen entsprechend.

La doppia ha un prezzo davvero imbattibile, mentre la singola ha una convenienza limitata. Una soluzione sicuramente molto valida in virtù della sua posizione centrale; adeguati i servizi, ma... non sempre rispondono al telefono!

Whilst the garaged car parking was good and close to the hotel, we did feel the price (at 17 euros) was a bit steep for a total of 14 hours parking! The location of the hotel was excellent and close to the centre.
