We had some friends that stayed across the street at Le Meridien, and I feel that while our room was definitely smaller than the ones there, it was a *much* better bargain! The hotel is excellently located on La Rambla, and for the proximity is surprisingly quiet. My wife and I very much enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again.

The location of Hotel Turín is excellent, very close to the Ramblas, in the heart of Barcelona. On the other side: at first we got a room on the first floor, on the front side of the hotel. That room was VERY noisy. We asked for an other room (that seemed no problem at all) and that one was more quiet (on the top floor, in the back of the hotel). Pay attention: the breakfast was NOT included, although we thought it was. Not really a problem: don't take the 12 euro breakfast in the hotel, but go to Bar Lobo, a great place on the corner of a small square just a few meters from the hotel. Breakfast there is cheaper and much better. Bar Lobo also has this fantastic relaxed atmosphere. So we were lucky we didn't have to eat in the hotel...

We were on vacation in Barcelona and I had perchance stumbled on the venere.com site. We booked the Hotel Turin and we were extremely fortunate: it is a small gem of a hotel with all the facilities and service one would require and more. It is ideally situated near the Rambla, extremely quiet (or rather our room was. The room was pristine and the bathroom modern and wonderfully appointed. The whole room en suite was pristine and rapidly made up in the mornings. We had cable television and could really relax after exhausting days. In the lounge free computer use was available and something which we really appreciated FREE COFFEE or TEA!!! We were robbed on our last day and the staff bent backwards to help us with everything - calming us about the creditcard and explaining where we had to report the matter etc. Througout our 5 day stay they were friendly and helpful as far as giving advie and recommendations and directions. We truly enjoyed a marvellous stay!!!!

First time I stayed, internet did not work at all, staff never helped, nor did they offer until we asked. other things were good but we chose it for the internet service so we were very disappointed. A friend we went to visit who lives in Barcelona was picking us up and droping us off at the hotel, ocassionally went up to wait while we changed and the hotel staff was so annoying and calling our room to check if he was staying or something. I felt they were babysitting

perfect location, right off of La Rambla! Far enough off the main strip so it wasn't too loud and crazy but steps from all the action. 2 computers in the front lobby allowed us to check our e-mail and use internet for free. The rooms were spacious compared to a typical European room and we had a nice balcony off of our room. Make sure you are specific if you want a double bed, our confirmation said double and were given a room with 2 twin beds. Luckily after showing the confirmation that I printed out to the front desk, they did change our room to one with a double. Nice people at the front desk that did speak good english.

location superb, a 100m stroll to Las ramblas and an array of fantastics eateries as well as a carrefour supermarket just across the street. Staff very knowledgable on barcelona and gave numerous helpful tips. Bathrooms big, very clean, modern & spacious. Free internet access in foyer which was a bonus as well as parking next door. Would definitely return to this hotel on our next visit to barcelona.

Travelled with Husband in August and stayed in the Hotel Turin. While the rooms may be small, the glass used in adjoining bathroom wall gives the illusion of space. The room was very clean and towels were changed on a daily basis. Our room was at the back of the Hotel and was very quite. The area itself can feel a little unsafe at night but there are two other hotels in close proximity which have outside security. Be careful with your handbags etc everywhere in Barcelona, do not leave them over the back of a chair or on the ground even if it is at your feet as the likelyhood is that you and it will part company. Witnessed this one morning around 10.30 outside Bar Bolo at the square beside the hote, lady set her bag on the ground at her feet and half an hour later when she was about to leave realised it was missing. I was sitting near her and did not witnesss amyone taking it but a short time earliern earlier a street seller came into the sqaure and took a suffed toy out of his bag and went straight to this ladies table and was very persistent about her or her husband buying it, so it is probable that he was distraction while an accomplice stole the bag. As long as you are careful there is no reason why your stay in Barcelona should be anthing but pleasant.

WELL LOCATED; WALKING DISTANCE TO SUBWAYS, MAJOR DEPARTMENT STORE, WIDE AVENUES FOR WALKING; THOUGH SMALL, ROOMS ARE EFFICIENTLY ORGANIZED, SIMPLE AND VERY CLEAN. RECEPTION IS MODERN, CLEAN AND WELCOMING. THE NOISE FACTOR COMES FROM LATE NIGHT REVELERS ON THE SIDEWALKS IF YOUR ROOM IS ON THE FRONT OF THE BUILDING. PRICE IS REASONABLE FOR THE QUALITY AND LOCATION OF THE TURIN HOTEL.

Hotel was nice and clean. Location is great for seeing Barcelona. We had room 602, on the six floor with a balcony. Didn't hear any noise from the street below, but did hear from the hallway.

Fantastic location, just yards away from Las Ramblas but in a quiet street. Very clean, modern room. Had a great double shower, a double and a single bed and a tv on the wall but no mini-bar. It did have a safety deposit box. No breakfast included (this was 11 euro extra). Free internet next to reception. Great hotel. Would stay again.

For a short trip to BCN with few time on hand I'recommend Hotel Turin for its excellent position close to Plaza Catalunya, la Rambla, Barriò Gotic and the nearby Beach. Everything easy to reach by walking. The Hotel is clean, the rooms, with a minimal and contemporary design, fit perfectly with the esigences a tourist may have during his/her stay. Unfortunately the beds were a little short for who is tall. And the terrace shown on the pictures belongs to a room you must specifically book, and not to the community. All in all, a good place to stay enjoying your trip to BCN.

excellent city hotel to start daily tours AND evening cruises to bars and restaurants - although close to "Ramblas" street no disturbances by noise or traffic: all together a fantastic stay!! Hotel Turin was completely renovated and rooms were refurnished only 2 years ago - bathroom with large shower! Our room was situated in the back (no windows towards the street) - very quiet.

Avoid the breakfast. It costs E11 and is crap. Better off going to the cafe across the road. Much cheaper and includes meat.

This was my first time in Barcelona and also in the Hotel Turin. Very nice hotel, located very conveniently to La Ramblas and Placa Catalunya. The hotel staff were welcoming and friendly. The room was spacious and very clean, and the shower was very good. The only two 'bad' points were 1.the double glazing was not sufficient to keep out the street noise (especially when they were emptying the bins on the street in the very early hours of the morning) and 2.the hotel bar/restaurant did not seem to be open often, though maybe this was because it was out of season (ie Hallowe'en). Having said that there were lots of bars/restaurants across the street and very nearby to go to and there was a Carrefour supermarket less than 5 minutes walk away for groceries.

As we have visited Barca a couple of times before, we had a good idea about the location of this hotel. However, it exceeded our expectation in terms of quality. The location is fantastic for sightseeing - central to everything & just off the busy Ramblas. Overall we would not hesitate to recomend this to anyone travelling to Barca & looking for a convenient centrally located hotel.

We really enjoyed our stay here - we had a great room on the 6th floor, with a large balcony. The hotel is about a minute's walk from La Rambla and there are really nice bars and restaurants just across the road and round the corner, staff were great. We didn't have the breakfast so can't comment on that - no mini bar but a vending machine in the lobby, a huge carrefour (supermarket) just across the street though. Highly recommended.

This was our second trip to Barcelona. The hotel is on a quiet side street a block from the Ramblas and a short walk from the Catalunya Plaza or Liceu Metro stations. The hotel was very quiet at night, a nice break from the busy Ramblas. The rooms are well appointed and modern and air conditioned, which is a must for hot summer nights in Barcelona. Great value for central barcelona. I would stay here again and highly recommend the hotel.

Hotel location is perfect!!! La Rambla isn't all it's cracked up to be, but all the little side roads off La Rambla are wonderfull and the main plaza for sight seeing tours is a few blocks away. Also right near all the highend shops! Also the people at the front desk were great help with suggesting restaurants, tours, etc!! Can't thank them enough!! Would definitely stay here again!!
