It was our first stay in sweet Barcelona! A couple, soon-to-be-married, in need of a comfortable stay and a good time during our 3 day stay (December 2010). This hotel was just what we were in need of! Our Comforf Room was nice, spacious, clean with furniture and bed in pristine condition. Clean shower. Great TV and stereo, equipped kitchen for longer stays. A/C, safe. Prices reasonable. View not great though (didn't bother me). Staff polite, helpful and smiling (I really like smiling persons). Perfect! We will certainly return!

We had a 5 night stay and would rate this hotel very highly. Decor and comfort of the room was excellent. Sound from adjoining rooms may be a problem if you were unfortunate enough to have noisy neighbours but we were fine. Hotel is in the Gracia district which we found to be an enjoyable location with a tree lined walk down the Passeig de Gracia to Catalunya Square and was also only two minutes walk to the Fontana Metro station from where it is a short ride to many of the main attractions and the city centre. Reception staff were were friendly and helpful. We would definitely return to this hotel.

Hotel is good in general. We stayed in a room looking inside the hotel so we can't see the outside. We have no idea about the outside till we go out. The bathroom is too small. There is noise coming from inside of the hotel. İnternet speed is good. Kitchenette is very good. You can cook if you want.Hotel is very near to Fontana metro station(approx.100 metres),so it's easy to go to city center or other turistic areas. In approximately 20 minutes you can go to La Ramblas by foot. Stuff at the reception are very helpfull. The rooms are clean.

The room was as described, like a studio apartment with a small kitchenette (fridge, stove, utensils, plates, etc). Free WiFi in the room was a bonus. For the price, the room was much better than most hotels in Barcelona. The location is excellent, in the Gracia area. It's very close to the Fontana metro station, which is only a couple stops away from Ciutat Vella. The Gracia neighborhood also has a number of great restaurants, away from the tourist traps along Las Ramblas. The hotel staff was also very friendly, and for those who don't speak Spanish, they speak excellent English. I would definitely return.

Excellent location. Considering the price and facility, this is a good deal. The map on Venere is terrible though. We got lost for about 20 minutes and finally got direction from a cab driver.

This was our first stay at the Silver Aparthotel great value for money & they have free WiFi in your room. The Hotel staff were very helpful & friendly and spoke very good English. The hotel is located in a very good area a little outside the hustle & bustle of central Barcelona with an easy walk to the centre & Park Guell. There were many small grocery stores, patisseries, fruit stores and boutiques within minutes of the Hotel. Metro is 2 minutes away right at the top of the street. We unfortunately were robbed on the metro my husband's wallet was stolen out of a zippered pocket in his bermuda shorts. Hotel staff were excellent in getting us in touch with credit card companys and Visa provided an emergency card within 24 hours. Be careful of pickpockets guard your purses & valuables when on the metro. A beautiful city to visit and we definitely recommend Silver Aparthotel & Barcelona.

This was a great hotel. Location wise, it is very close to the metro which has you everywhere in a matter of minutes. We couldn't find a lot to do for dinner etc. in the immediate locality of the hotel, but a metro has you in the middle of things within 10 or 15 mins of leaving the hotel. The room was great - very comfortable and a great size. The window between the bathroom and the bedroom was the only unusual thing. The staff were fantastic. Very helpful and friendly and were able to make up for my non-existent Catalan/Spanish.

Hotel is very nice in perfect location. We could reach all necessary areas of Barcelona with light green metro line very easily. Receptionist girl is very polite and friendly, she answered all questions we had and helped in every situation we needed. If we go one more time to Barcelona, definitely we will stay at the same hotel.

Two of us stayed in a twin room for 3 nights and we had a lovely stay. The room wasn't huge but was big enough for two, the bathroom was lovely, great shower although dreadful hairdryer so bring your own!! Very comfy beds. The kitchenette was great, the fridge was quite big. The air conditioning was brilliant. Location is great, was glad that we decided to stay in Grazia instead of Las Ramblas as it was nice and quiet but right beside the metro which brings you wherever you want to go. Would absolutely reccommend this hotel for anyone visiting Barcelona, and I'm already planning to return in the next few months and will stay here again.

8th visit to Barca and I'll definitely be staying here again - I've even recommended it to my mum. Although beware the standard rooms have yet to be refurbished and have some wonderful 1970s tiling - I thought it was quite cool! We had a baby with us and there was plenty of space. The kitchenette was a life saver.

I was traveling with my 25-year-old son, and we were both very comfortable with this hotel. It is not located particularly near any tourist spots in Barcelona or other places where we visited, but it is located near the metro (green line), and only a few stops from the city center and waterfront.

Hotel near the metro station, you can reach the city centre and the seaside by foot. There was even a well-accessorised kitchen in the room. I suggest taking breakfast in the coffee near the hotel, cheap and good. We are really satisfaied. We suggest it!

Great location (30 seconds from fontana Metro startion). Close to main shopping street that leads to Catalunya. However, I will not recommend Barcelona as a place to visit. The city is full of thieves and thugs and you are very likely to get robbed. Despite all safety measures and warnings we were robbed.

No fresh air possibility. The rooms view on a closed yard. Walls seemed to be made of paper, I could hear everything from the other rooms. Rooms were dirty. The rooms were pretty big, the employees really gentle, nice and ready to help. The only issue was the room window: it was near the public garden and in the morning there were some noise. In add, we couldn't really open curtains, or our private life would have been seen by all the customers of the hotel. Beside this, all was very well offered, and I definitely would suggest some nights in this Aparthotel.

This hotel was nice. It was near a subway station, but a bit outside the city center, although we often walked to the city center (city center, not the shore) and it took about 20 minutes. the staff were friendly and helpful. there was also free internet in the lobby. the room was a little noisy from the street below, but not so loud that we could not sleep.

Upon arrival it seemed as if we were not expected - not very well cleaned - but on the second day everything had improved. We were unfortunate concerning neighbours - it was VERY noisy the first night. Then much better. The kitchen was not particularly well equipped. A few things were lacking such as wine glasses, a cutting knife. There were only two cups although there were four small plates. However very friendly and helpfull staff which made everything qiute nice.

For a good clean and friendly 3 star hotel at a reasonable price in a nice district of Barcelona I can fully recommend it. It is only 100 metres away from the excellent subway (Fontana) if you are not in the mood to walk, and about a 30 to 40 minute walk to the top of the Ramblas. Breakfasts are good although extra €7 per person.

This hotel offers great value for money. Although not exactly 'central' Barcelona it is within a minutes walk of the Fontana Metro which is only a few stops from all the central metro stations. The reception has a free internet station which is very handy and the breakfast, whilst not included in the room price, was very cheap/reasonable and well catered - and eating in the garden was a fantastic way to start the day. The hotel staff were all very helpful, happy and friendly - they were extremely pleasant.

Stayed in the Silver hotel on the 13 and 14th on April. This really was excellent value for money. The room was exactly as expected, complete with kitchenette, and all the usual things. The staff were exceptionally helpful and spoke very good english. The location was a little way from the main area of catalunya, La Rambla, Habour. but USE THE METRO!!! its only a 30 second walk from the hotel and is very easy to get around on, easier than london underground! very cheap too. We did walk to the centre of Catalunya and it takes about 30 minutes, but its a nice walk, loads to see. If you want a nice freindly family run hotel to rest your head, this hotel is as good as they get. 10 out of 10 for value for money and service! good luck

The hotel staff were very helpful and the hotel itself is very conveniently located. The only downsides to the hotel was that the walls were quite thin so noise travelled very easily and that breakfast wasn't included in the price as had been indicated on the website.

I read very good reviews before my reservation and was not at all disappointed - all was as good as I have read - a breakfast, a service, a location. Our room was the most cheap in the hotel, but very comfortable and even spacious. Bathroom was a nice surprise, there was even a bidet! Kitchenett was very useful, as well as a free PC with internet in the hall. They let us store our luggage ofter our check-out because we had a late flight. Pretty nice hotel...our room was a touch noisy due to the fact that we were on the 1st floor where the restaurant is...lots of noisy early birds getting breakfast! This hotel was closer to the metro (about 150m) than I originally thought, based on the maps provided by the internet. The rooms looked nicer in reality and the facilities were a pleasant surprise. The staff was very welcoming, even allowing me to practice my long-forgotten Spanish before they switched to English. The air conditioner was very efficient, even on low. We were in room 302, a non-smoking room with a window that opened on the courtyard. It was a blessing to be able to leave the window open all night and get fresh air, AND still be quiet enough to sleep. The small and cramped kitchenette saved us lots of money on eating out and allowed us to stay closer to our normal diet. There were 2 mom&pop organic/natural food shops between the metro and the hotel. They had mostly dry goods, but with some refigerated items (juice, milk, jam...). There was also a laudromat about 15 minutes from the hotel. You need to find it on your own as the it competes with the hotel's laundry service. It is on the next major street past the metro (about 150-300m) and then about 500-800m to the right. Now for the "buts" The towels were excellent, but the sheets were a little worn. The neghborhood is quiet, but the walls between the rooms are too thin. There was a complementary computer with internet, but it was often busy (since I wasn't expecting it, I shouldn't include it in the "buts" section, but...) We had a great time in Barcelona for 8 days and would stay at this hotel again on our next trip.
