Have stayed twice over a few years, family before that, & it's always been good. Like the location because it's not absolutely in the centre / Ramblas, but you can get anywhere very easily, with Metro stop right across the road. Staff are all welcoming & not pompous. Barca is such a fun city!

this was the first time we stayed at this hotel and it will be the last! the girl in the reception, Daniela, was unable to talk in English. thw worst thing was that our bed was broken and Daniela said that she couldnt help us, there was no more room anymore and we had to sleep at this bed. but when we wanted to write a complaint letter, she tried to find a solution like to find another room!! if you dont fight to be in a nice room, actually what they offer in the website, you cant have it.

Quite good hotel, not far from the center. Very kind staff. They allowed us to leave the car in the garage free for the last day. Unfortunately one of them didn't know that the "funiculare" (cableway)to the Montjuic was even existing and we had to catch a cab while the stop was at the Paral-lel tube staion, few steps from the hotel.

This hotel was one of the best choices I made while in Spain. The breakfast was better than any of the 4 star hotels I stayed in. The staff were always very approachable and friendly. The room had internet which a lot of hotels say the do but it never seems to work when you are there. The location is perfect for the magic fountain my favorite site in barcelona and also for the port area on the mediterrean. This hotel is a gem. The rooms are big and spacious the only reason why it is not a 4 star hotel is probably because from the street it doesn't look like much. I highly recommend this hotel.

when we checked in we asked for a quiet room and we got a small one at the back of the hotel. we asked to change it to a bigger one and the guy told us that he will have one later on. we went to lunch and when we came back they already moved our luggage to a big and quiet room. a littile bitt hot - but playing with A.C. and open the window half an hour before sleep solved the problem. very nice hotel. any way most of the day we wrer out at the city

Excellent hotel in centre of town. Very recommended if you like to visit Barcelona. In general are the hotelprices in this city quite high. So is the bill in this hotel, but they offer good service, very proper sanitary facilities and an really excellent breakfast. Diners we did take in other restaurants, but the menu of the hotelrestaurant seems to give quite good value for your money. We did meet people of different nations and age. In general: Highly recommended and the metro-entrance is just in front of the hotel!! The two-stories garage is situated direct under the hotel. A bit difficult to reach and leave the second floor with an big car because of many supporting pillars.

The hotel was ok but disappointing in one major way- the central heating was just too hot and when I asked them if there was any way we could turn it down they asked us to open the window. Now it wasn't freezing in Barcelona, but during the night when we were sleeping it got a bit fresh and we had one thin blanket to cover us both. So the sleeps were uncomfortable and while perhaps there was nothing they could do at that moment, surely other customers thought the same and they could turn down the central heating for everyone? Anyway, apart from that the staff looked like they couldn't really be bothered most of the time. The location was ok, central but a bit dodgy. 15 min walk to La Ramblas so it wasn't to far but the area wan't very pretty and the shortcut to La Ramblas was also not a nice sight. The rooms were a bit dusty and the bathroom was a bit dirty but bearable i guess. The only thing I can't complain about was the price, at 70 euros a night I probably shouldnt complain but I am sure there is better out there so I will not be staying there again.

The dirtiest hotel I have ever stayed in! This hotel is promoting itself as a boutique hotel with extra services like massage and gourmet menus, but it cannot even get the basics right. It is certainly no better than an average 3* hotel. On arrival we were shown to a room that had clearly not been cleaned properly in a LONG time. There were brown stains all over the walls, at both sides and the foot of the bed, a thick layer of dust on the bedhead and bedside lights and the room had not been hoovered. The bedspread was also stained. We advised the receptionist of the damage to the walls and brought him to the room to show him the problem as we wanted to be sure we wouldn't be charged for any damage. I was unwell and couldn't be bothered with the hassle of changing room, but we asked that the walls be washed and the room hoovered the next day. The room was neither hoovered properly not dusted and the walls were not cleaned during our entire 4 night stay. The bed was made and the bathroom tidied, but the layer of dust on the glass desk got thicker each day. In the communal hallways there was a thick layer of dust along the edge of the carpets, so it was clearly not just that we got a shabby room. It is a shame as we liked some aspects of the hotel. The location is fantastic, easily accessible by bus from the airport, and right next to the subway and bus stop to the main sites. The toiletries were nice (although they were never replenished after the first day). Based on the terrible standard of cleanliness I wouldn't recommend the Silken Concordia. However, if they sorted out their cleaners it would be a nice 3* hotel in a perfect location. I hope the management read this review...

A very nice, modern, well-appointed hotel in the heart of Barcelona. Convenient for the metro. Breakfast buffet is a little pricey although it contains a large selection of hot and cold choices. This was our second visit to this hotel over the past 12 months. We enjoyed it the first time and so did not hesitate to stay here again on our next trip which was for 3 nights. We will probably stay there again too should we visit the city at some future time. We thought the breakfasts were excellent. The Hotel is well positioned for many attractions and the Metro is just aacross the street. Not sure why the directions to the hotel on venere.com suggest you get off at the Paral.lel station as Poble Sec is actually the closest.

Nice hotel with friendly staff. Ask for rooms with window to the back side. Subway is directly in front of the hotel, perfect! Breakfast buffet (continental style) is available for extra money, but there exist plenty of nice bars in the neighbourhood. Try a bikini :-) The hotel is located at the foot of montjuic. This offers the opportunity for a great evening walk ... Definitively would stay again there.

A nice hotel with a great breakfast buffe! But..in winter only heat in the air conditioning which gives very warm rooms. When open the window in a room facing the street, sleeping is close to impossible. Ask for a room facing inside. Very close to metro, fairground and city. In spite of the heat, I recommend this hotel and will probably chose it again.

MY BOYFRIEND AND I WERE VERY HAPPY TO HAVE CHOSE THIS WELL SITUATED, CLEAN, FRIENDLY, MODERN HOTEL FOR OUR STAY. FIRST NIGHT IN ROOM ON MAIN STREET WAS TOO NOISY AND TOO WARM (WITH HEATING TURNED OFF). UNFORTUNATLY BREAKFAST WAS NOT INCLUDED AND € 10.00 P.P. A LITTLE TOO HIGH WHEN YOU CAN FIND MANY "CAFFETERIA" NEARBY WHERE LOCALS START THE DAY FOR HALF THE PRICE. iF BACK IN BARCELONA I'D DEFINITLY CHOOSE THE SILKEN CONCORDIA(WITH ROOM TOWARDS THE BACK) AGAIN. :-)

We really enjoyed our stay. The room was quite luxurious, very clean and quiet. The hotel is situated withing walking distance to Las Ramblas. A metro station is across from the hotel. Try the eateries around the hotel as they are well priced. Dinos (bakery), towards the beach, has the yummiest, inexpensive food! The hotel is not close to the beach but catch the metro instead... very simple process :) We recommend a Fat Tyre Bicycle Tour in Barcelona.

Considering the locations, the room was a good value. we stayed here the night before our cruise, it is close to the port, but so is the undesirable part of barcelona. Nothing is in english, no resteraunts are around and so it not anyware that is tourist friendly at all. I would stay colser to the top of the Rambla as it is generally a nicer area if i were going to stay longer. Only a $5 cab ride to the port though. Everthing else was generally fine, rooms were clean, staff was fine, but definatly nothing extra or to write home about. perfectly fine for a one night stop before an amazing cruise however.
