If we were to return to Barcelona, we would use this hotel again. One snag, the hotel reservation instuctions need to provide more details on their shuttle service and how to make arrangements for shuttle pick-up at the airport.

Close to the airport with shuttle bus provided (we didn't use this but saw guests arriving by it). The hotel was spacious and clean, The location is really just for the airport as there was nothing much else if interest in the area. We did use the internet cafe across the road

While checking in one of our bags was stolen 10 feet from the front desk. The staff seemed to take an "Oh well" approach. How often does it happen? Their video showed that 3 people were involved. Lax or no attention by the staff made us feel very unsafe. I can't imagine the hotel staff at the other 3 hotels we stayed at allowing 3 people to stake out their front desk.

great hotel for early am flight out of Barcelona..has free bus shuttle which only takes 10mins. Rooms are clean and quiet, comfy beds. Soundproof windows. Not much shopping etc close to hotel. There are some bars restaurants etc. Common areas in the hotel very bland. Still recommend for intransit hotel when travelling

The only problem was that the air conditioning was not working right; only the fan was blowing. When I went downstairs they just showed me how to work it, did not offer to come up. It was hot and not a restful night.

This hotel is very difficult to find. We were able to find it only by asking a police man who was kind enough to tell us to follow him as he drove the pollice car by the entrance to the hotel. On the venere.it website it is indicated near the airport, and that is the reason we chose to stay there. However, the hotel is quite a distance from the airport. The website should state how many km. it is from the airport and also provide directions on how to find it.

Hotel Citutat del Prat exceeded my expectations from the shuttle from the airport to the welcome at the front desk. My wife and I were very pleased with choosing this hotel and would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone. We also admired the excellent service provided in the restaurant and were made to feel special while dining.

I read other people reviews and I agree with the high rating and great price. We had just returned from a cruise and only had one day to see Barcelon and catch an 8:00 AM flight the next day so I wanted to be near the airport. The hotel is in the middle of a commercial area but 10 minutes from the airport and a 10 to 15 minute walk to a train station. The lobby is bright, clean and modern. The front desk spoke English and helped with directions into the old city centre and gave us a very nice map. The room was clean and there was a very large marble bathroom. We had free shuttle service to the airport which was available at 5:30 AM to get us to the airport 2 hours early. This is a business hotel and I would highly recommend it to someone who has to get to the airport early in the morning.

It chose near the airport. By about 15 Euro when it is a taxi at midnight. There is meeting and sending off up to the airport in the morning. There is not traffic in the industrial area at all at night either. Even the station of National Railways that connects an airport and the main station (Sants, Pasetti Da Grashia, and Fransa) in the Barcelona city is 10 minutes on foot. It is easy to go out to the city. Moreover, there are some a residence districts in the row of the hotel near the station, and are a cafe, a bakery, and some restaurants, etc.

The staff are somewhat unhelpful. I had to carry three suitcases on my own, and nobody offered to help me with them. That said, the room was lovely, and extremely good value.

This hotel is nice, with spacious rooms and clean facilities. The free shuttle to the airport is also really helpful -- just make a reservation at the front desk. As far as location, it is extremely close to the airport, but not around much else. However, the train station is only about a 10 minute walk (and we felt safe walking at night, although it's always a good idea to be careful), and then it only takes about 30 minutes (one quick transfer) to get into the heart of the city. Very easy! They were also helpful with directions at the front desk.

This was a perfect hotel to stay at the night before our flight departure the next day. We arrived very early in the morning, were accomodated with a very nice, clean double room. We walked about 7 minutes to the train taking us to central Barcelona, using the T-10 ticket for both my wife and I. Stayed in Barcelona central the whole day. Returned to the hotel for a dinner; hotel restaurant was not open yet, but ordered room service which was fine. Walked around the town, and received the wake up call at 3 am to catch our flights; efficient and free shuttle bus to airport took us to airport within 7 minutes. Excellent service at hotel; room very clean including bath room. Would definitely stay again and recommend anyone else to stay there, certainly if proximity to airport is a priority as it was for us. Overall experience is 10 out of 10.

The hotel was very clean and well-decorated, and the satff helpful and welcoming. There was an excellent buffet breakfast. Very handy for airport.

Stayed for one night before traveling into city> Hotel is convenient for Airport and Rail Station. The reception staff were courteous and efficent The service and food at the restaurant was fine. Would recommend hotel for a short stay business trip or if you have an early morning flight.

Close to the airport (about 2 km). Close to El Prat train station (Renfe - about 10 minutes by feet). Close to the N17 bus (night train, runs every 15 minutes all night), which starts from Placa Catalunya - about 200 mt far. Close to the 21 bus (50 mt far), which leads to Paral-lel (very close to the Ramblas). Shuttle from/to the airport (just call from the hotel-bus station, on the right exiting from the arrivals terminal, or manage it directly with the hotel employee). I found our staying very satisfying - I recommend this hotel!!! Note: I was quite afraid because of the transportation from/to Barcelona City (quite bad, reading the previous comments here in Venere) - no problem at all, the hotel surrounding are peripherals but well connected also during the night!

We chose to stay here becauseit was close to the airpart and had free shuttle service (which was great). The hotel exceeded our expectations. It was located in a primarily industrial area which meant there were no food choices for us but the hotel. We ordered room service and found it to be very good. When we arrived the hotel showed the price of the room 10 euros higher than what we were quoted on Venere, but there was no problem with the hotel honoring what we were quoted. We would stay here again.

Other than the industrial surroundings on one side, and a residential area on the other with no place to go for drinks, it's a great place to spend your last night in Barcelona if you have an early flight, especially with the free shuttle to the airport.

Everyone at the front desk was very helpful and friendly. Hotel is very convenient to airport. The train station was about a 15 minute walk from hotel. Easy to get to downtown Barcelona.

I just stayed for one night because I had the return flight to Italy on the next day, but I found the Hotel and the services offered quite excellent. The room was spacious and very clean and the employees friendly and competent. Unfortunately I can't be too enthusiastic about the hotels' surroundings, more like an industrial area. I will certainly be back if my job takes me in that area of Spain.

The rooms are big, spacious and very clean. I will stay again in this hotel. Only set-back is that it is a bit far away from downtown, but there is a train station nearby. Free shuttle from the airport and back. Do not pay for a taxi!

This hotel isn't very far from the airport, but was difficult to find. We were completely amazed at the quality of the hotel considering its location. If this hotel had been in downtown Barcelona, it would have been 3 times the price.

We would have liked a family room but the two adjacent double rooms were fine and had all the toiletries we required for the overnight stop. We were unaware that a free bus to the hotel from the airport was possible.The taxi driver was appologetic for having to charge a minimum 20Euros for the short journey to the hotel. Free mini-bar on arrival was a treat and the breakfast, although extra cost ,was worth it. Would happily use this hotel again as a stop over.

Very nice hotel with brand-new accommodations. The price for one night was a total bargain. The only negative aspect of our stay was the location. It was close to the airport but situated in an industrial part of town that isn't aestetically pleasing.
