Very nice hotel with a good connection to the center (approx. 5 min by underground). Free internet connection in the rooms is offered. Very nice and helpful employees (multilingual), also good responsiveness pertaining to e-mail requests. All things considered this hotel is absolutely recommendable.

My 16 yr old daughter & I stayed for 5 nights at the Silken and were quite pleased with the accommodations and the hard working and friendly staff. They were very helpful with directions & restaurant suggestions, especially Oscar! The Metro was right around the corner (El Putxet) and brought you directly to Placa Catalunya which connected to most other Metro lines making travel pretty straightfoward. It was actually nice to leave the hustle & bustle behind and get back to the Silken which was in a quiet neighborhood. We ate around the corner at a small restaurant: La Taula, which was excellent. I would definitely stay again at this hotel.

Overall the hotel is pretty good. The only 2 criticisms are:the expensive price of breakfast and the employees who did not seem very welcoming to us. Very good the closeness of the metro station to the hotel.

Pulito, camere spaziose e moderne. Ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo. Ci tornerei subito.

I would like to promote Silken St. Gervasi Hotel. I stayed there with my girlfriend for week and we are highly satisfied because of the high quality of our accommodation there. Please consider the following: The Hotel is not located close to the downtown, but a very close Metro station and a bus service (the Bus 17 along the day and the Bus N5 in the night)is the best way to be in the Placa de Catalunya or in Barceloneta in few minutes. The breakfast was not included in the price, but we had our breakfast in a good pastry store (La Serra) very close to the Hotel. My best regards VD

The hotel was above my expectations, clean, quiet neighbourhood, close to FGC station (3 min walking). Even if it is in the northen part of the city, close to the amusement park, it will take you only 20 min from the hotel to Placa Catalunya by FGC. There is a Spar supermarket open until 10:30pm right across the hotel, there are no other places to eat around except for the hotel's restaurant (at least we didn't try so hard to find), there are 2 small pubs though. It's a good choice if you choose to stay a weekend in Barcelona, although the price is not quite cheap, but not very expensive either.

L'hotel è come risulta dalle immagini pulito e accogliente.

Very confortable location, in a residential district of Barcelona near the inner district: underground station "El Putxet" it's only 200 meters far, so to reach the central area of the city (i.e. Plaza Cataluna)it takes only 15-20 minutes. Moreover the hotel has an excellent relationship between price & quality. Enjoy Barcelona!!!

The hotel is very well located, 50 meters from the subway (5 stops to towndown)in a quiet and elegant area. High level room's equipment: you can't need more. Hotel parking needed (10 euro), expensive breakfast (10.50 euro), but you can take it easily in the close surroundings. There is also a large market for any needs adjacent to the hotel. I have the last suggestion if you want to visit Barcelona (a splendorous city!): take care of your bags when you are in the old downtown (Ramblas)!

Very comfortable hotel, should be a 4 star instead of 3. It's not so close to the center, if you don't have a car you should use a public transport. For those with a car: parking on the street is free of charge during the month of August. Room was spacious and clean, a little bit noisy. In the bathroom there were both shower cabin and Jacuzzi hot tub. The hotel staff was helpful, good speaking English. Breakfast is a little bit expensive (10€), we preferred to go to the bar across the street.

We got kind of a "hairy" situation when they gave us our room. By hairy we mean human hairs were present all over the bathroom and on the matress. We notified front desk and they solved the situation by calling cleaning ladies although the last ones were incredulous and started making comments that we were making a scandal of nothing. Be careful with those hairs!!!

If you're searching for an hotel in Barcellona, Silken is the right one! Perhaps it's a little far from the center of the city, but you can reach it very fast by the metro (2 minutes from the hotel) or by the car (there is no traffic in Barcellona's so large streets, usually)! Rooms are really clean and spacious, services are all provided (didn't you need a Jacuzzi, right?), employees are kind and competent, so overall quality is very high. Finally, if you'll consider prices... you'll have no doubt!

Great value for money hotel. Rooms were very spacious and hotel was in great condition. Level of service was more like a 4 star hotel. Breakfast had a huge range of meats and fruits etc. The hotel is a little outside of the centre of the city, but it is roughly a 7 minute train journey to Catalunya station (central station). The only thing I would have preferred was one double bed - we had two singles which were placed together. Other than that, a lovely hotel - highly recommended

We where ignored by checking out. The receptionist was more interested in talking to his friend on the telephone than dealing with us (guests who had a flight to catch) The staff have a minor knowledge of the english language and could not explain anything in detail. The hotel is relatively close to everything but a little more friendliness from the staff would have made things much more enjoyable. We expect a "thank you, come again" by check out and not the feeling that we spoilt his day !
