Hotel Silken Ramblas - Barcelona

The rooms are not quite at all, you can ear your neighbor almost breathing, and also not very clean. All the rest is ok, but to be honest, to me, this is not a 4 stars hotel

The location of the hotel is excellent, near metro and bus stations but the area in "La Ramblas" is a bit dangerous…especially at night…so be careful! The quality of the breakfast buffet was perfect, but in general the facilities of the hotel don’t match with the price. It is very expensive since the breakfast is not included in the total price. Also, the gym is just a room with a standing bicycle and the sauna room wasn't clean and was very smelly! The view from the pool in the terrace was very good. We had a smoking room in the 4th floor which smelled of smoke and you could hear everything from the other rooms! The reception staff was friendly and helpful but only in the shift until noon, the guy that is responsible for the afternoon shift was rude, unhelpful and looked like he was bored and didn’t want to help in any matter you asked…!!!! We had a great time in Barcelona but if we visit this city again we will prefer staying in another hotel…!!!!

Silken Ramblas seems has three stars, not four. Its quite expensive to be able to offer. I think this hotel need refurbish the rooms and toilets and The tv rooms hasn´t digital channels. The hotel should improve the imagine.

Although a pleasurable stay, it was disappointing the room was very small for a twin. The price was high considering no breakfast was included. You could hear everything from the rooms beside us.

Enjoyed my stay. The only problem was the room stunk of smoke as did the whole floor that I stayed on. I saw people smoking in the passage often. I also asked for a half an hour later check out time and was refused it!!

As with all panoramic photos, they make things look larger - such as the pool! however it was still a great location on the roof, and we all managed to get a dip in it to cool down. Great quality hotel for the price, just off the Rambla - it made our short stay even better. Highly recommended. We will be back!

Really nice hotel. Great service and comfortable rooms. I would certainly return to this hotel for my next stay in Barcelona.

Our only complaint was our noisy neighbours coming back at all hours . not the hotels fault but soundproofing of the rooms is non existant !! location superb, very nice hotel.we did not eat at the hotel so can't really comment.

Excellent hotel. Rooms and bathrooms are very spacious and clean, which is one of the most important things for me. The location was good- just off Las Ramblas, which meant it was close to underground, aerobus stop and tour bus stop. Reception staff were helpful and were happy to order taxis and tell us where things were. Useful guide books were provided on check in, which informed us of bars and restaurants etc. I went on my hen weekend, there was six of us in 3 rooms and all the rooms were near each other. The walls are a bit thin as we could hear the phone ringing next door etc but from reading other reviews this seems to be common to Barcelona hotels. All our rooms had little balconies, which looked out on to an alleyway. Overall we all liked the hotel but we did pay £114 per room per night so we expected to be good, which it was.

Good hotel in general. Very good location, off the Ramblas. Quiet and spacious. Nice staff (fluent in French and English). The hotel has a car park but the price of the car park is not included in the price of the room (18 euros extra). However, they let us leave the car all day the day we checked out at no extra cost, which was nice.

Il prezzo è leggermente elvato ma la posizione è perfetta. Una nota particolare per il personale. Sempre gentile e disponibile. Veramente ammirevole. Pietro

This was the 3rd time that I have been in Barcelona. The people I met at the hotel were friendly. In my opinion everything was ok. To visit a city I only need a nice, clean and quiet room and the surroundings must be clean. And this was the case. Because of the immense traffic in Barcelona it is not easy to find a much more quite place. During the nights it was quiet in the mornings there was some noise.

Le camere sono veramente spaziose, bella la piscina sul tetto dove rilassarsi dopo la visita alla citta', la posizione e' ottima, vicino alla rambla e con un supermercato ed un mercato nelle vicinanze, il personale dell'albergo e' molto gentile e parla italiano, il prezzo e' molto vantaggioso grazie a venere.. insomma un albergo senz'altro da consigliare e raccomandare

La camera, seppure sufficientemente ampia, è stata pulita sempre in modo approssimativo. Le tariffe pubblicate sul sito non comprendono la colazione. Credendo di avere la colazione compresa, siamo andati nella sala ristorante e solo dopo aver mangiato ci hanno detto che dovevamo pagarla a parte: 18 euro + tasse a persona !!! L'albergo è posizionato vicino la metropolitana, in zona centrale e comoda (raggiungibile a piedi dal capolinea del bus che parte dall'aeroporto). Molto bella la sal bar e molto gentile il personale. Le camere sono più da ottimo 3 stelle più che 4 e quindi il prezzo della stanza è eccessivo.

This was our honeymoon hotel and the offer of a free bottle of cava never materialised. The reception staff at the hotel where very friendly. But the catering staff were awful, on the only morning we ventured downstairs to the restaurant the tables were not laid out properly, you had to look for cutlery and if you dared to ask a huge sigh and slamming of items then ensued. Room service was not much better, by the time the tray arrived, it had been bashed so often that there was only half a pot of coffee left! - they don't seem to know how to make toast either! frighten it with the grill that was about it. The walls in the hotel are very thin, and with a screaming baby next door for the last two nights, and bottles being permanently washed in the bathroom sink, two lost nights of sleep. But for location, you could not ask for better, just of the ramblas, about half way down and close to everything you need. Highly recommend the santa monica restaurant in the place real.
