Best price/quality found in Barcelona, excellent quietness in the room, but difficult to find the hotel hidden between large buildings.

When I checked out from the hotel the staff said I should pay twice as much as agreed. She claimed that the price I had was for 1 night only and not 2. I had a receipt from check-in with the correct total but she throught that in the dustbin when I handed it over!! Thankfully I had the email confirmation from Venere where also the total amount was specified. She then took my money without a comment and without an appology! The rest of the staff was professional and helpful but to get a last impression like I did really made the total impression of the hotel drop down to the cellar.

magnifique hôtel climatisé aussi bien dans les chambres que dans le hall. chambre double très spacieuse. le minibar gratuit est très agréable. emplacement idéal à 15 minutes à pied du nou camp, du coup un peu plus loin du centre ville mais c'est tout à fait faisable. quartier très calme. petit point négatif : le restaurant est un peu cher et ferme assez tôt (23h).

the Senator Barcelona Spa is nice and clean. the staffs were competent and friendly. But it is quite far from city center (1 hour). We were happy to stay at the Senator Barcelona Spa.

We stayed at the Senator for one night prior to driving south. We flew into Barcelona and a taxi to the hotel cost 25 euros, we arrived at the Hotel at 11.00pm and were well received. The hotel is a little out of the centre but only 10 minutes walk to a metro station. Being a little out of the centre meant it is a very quiet location. The breakfast is excellent quality, with both hot and cold food on offer. The staff were very friendly and helpful and kept our luggage in a secure room whilst we spent the morning in Barcelona. The rooms were very clean and adequate for a few nights.

Even if internet acces was not available, I did not get any discount price. I needed internet access because it was a business stay ! I will not come back to Senator hotel !

Splendid 4 star hotel at a very reasonable price. Breakfast looked OK but at 15 Euros per person not value for money! Good cafe opposite thge hotel offering croissants and coffee and juice much cheaper. Number 54 bus outside hotel takes you to the centre of town and a tram at back of hotel will take you to L'Illa shopping mall in the Diagonal. Public transport very cheap and always on time. Journies to Stiges and/or Gerona can be made from Sants Station for just a few Euros. Barcelona has many many sites to see however and only when you have seen them do you journey afar.

The hotel is modern and nice but the triple room, that I booked, wasn't a triple but a double with a chair-bed and so the room was very little for three persons.

10 mins walk from the Nou Camp and near enough to a metro stop to make this hotel accessible from the centre. The hotel merits its rating. Friendly staff.

Very pleased with the Senetor Barcelona. A lot of little touches that really made the hotel stand out. We had to leave early (before breakfast was served), nevertheless juices, pastries and sandwiches were set out for those early departures and the Senetor offered us something for the road. Room was spacious and clean. Staff was very kind and professional.

I have reserved a triple-room and the hotel gave me a double room with a small bed for a child. But we was 3 adult!!!!! The staf don't resolve the problem and don't refound us. Is this a 4 star hotel?????

Travelled to watch European football. Hotel idealy situated for the Camp Nou and fairly close to Metro stations.

It was a pity that the swimming pool on the roof was not any more available (closed on 1st of October) Internet connection in the rooms very expensive (about 19 EUR for 24 hours). Spa available but expensive. )

The hotel is OK, except the timing for room service (always during the "siesta"). The room service never made a TOP service in the cleaning of the room : just the minimum, beds, towels.. WIFI and internet prices are exceptionnally high, which is not correct at the XXI century.

There was no Smoking/non-smoking indication when making the reservation. I got a room that smelled from cigarets. 4 star hotel should have cable TV.

Visited in Winter, so the Swimming Pool was closed. Good location if you travel for business and need to drive outside of Barcelona, without missing a dinner in the City at night.

this hotel location was not desirable. the bus turistic is fairly close to get however this is a tourist area. It is next to the football stadium.

The hotel is great. Although it's listed as 4-star, the interior can pass for some 5-star hotels I've stayed in. Overall the place is good value for money if comfort is what you are looking for. I would like to warn all travellers to Barcelona that the city (as perhaps common in big cities) has many con-men running around who prey on tourists, especially non-european looking ones. Beware of the tourist bus station closest to the hotel (Nou Camp stadium stop)! We were robbed of 900 euros by some thugs!! Don't bring too much cash when walking in Barcelona (as in other major cities). Let our painful experience be a lesson to others.

I have given a 'Poor' marking in the Quality Vs Price section for two reasons. Firstly the fact that the cost of a two night stay was 428 EURO, and secondly this was for 'Room Only'. I felt this was not value for money as I had previously stayed in this hotel on a bed and breakfast basis for 90 EURO per night!

Everything about the hotel was excellent, the only downside was that my son wasn't allowed in the pool as he is only nine years old. I'm not aware of this age restriction being mentioned on your web site but he was really looking forward to this and was very disappointed as a result.
