Not only is Barcelona a wonderful city, the staff at Hotel Rekord made my 3 days there perfect. From the very beginning, the staff was helpful. I arrived alone and inexperienced with the city. Within minutes, the manager had given me a map, a recommended walking route, and even found a salsa club for me to go to! The room was EXACTLY how the website showed it, if not better! And the bed was exactly how I like it. The breakfast was fantastic! There was always someone at the front desk eager to answer all of my many questions. I even purchased the tourist bus tickets at the desk and they made reservations for me at a great restaurant around the corner (La Bodega), where the owner made paella especially for me. And get the Autobus Touristico 2-day pass. Worth every penny! As far as shopping, I found everything I was looking for within 8 blocks of the hotel. I wouldn't have changed a thing. Absolutely the best!

A small comfortable hotel which is right beside a Metro Station giving easy access to getting around Barcelona. It would not be what I would describe as a 4-star hotel but it was clean and quiet with very accomodating staff.

The room we stayed in 201 is sited just above the breakfast room. In the mornings there was quite a lot of noise coming from blow. The hotel itself is excellent, really good value and appart from the noisy room we would go back there again. Really good buffet breakfast included in the price of the room. We would recomend the hotel to anyone looking for good accomodation in Barcalona

FROM THE MOMENT WE STEPPED INTO THE REKOR'D WE KNEW WE HAD MADE THE RIGHT CHOICE.THE STAFF WERE FRIENDLY AND VERY HELPFUL. THE HOTEL HAS HAD A REFURBISHMENT LATELY SO IT IS MODERN AND STYLISH,VERY CLEAN. THE FACILITIES WERE PERFECT FOR OUR REQUIREMENTS.THE LOCATION TOO WAS OK.JUST OFF THE AVENUE DIAGONAL,WITH THE MUNTANER METRO STATION AROUND THE CORNER. BASICALLY ALL YOU SEE ON THE WEB PAGE IS ACCURATE WHICH IS ALWAYS A RELIEF.PRICE,LOCATION AND SERVICE ARE SPOT ON. ONLY ONE SMALL COMPLAINT.THE DOUBLE BED WAS ACTUALLY TWO SINGLES PUSHED TOGETHER,WHICH CAN BE AWKWARD IF YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN.BUT I CAN LIVE WITH THAT. WILL DEFINITELY STAY THERE ON MY NEXT VISIT TO BARCELONA. MIKE FLYNN.

This was a fabulous property! The people were very helpful. The room was perfect--large, air conditioned, and well stocked with any kind of supply that you might need. I came in at 11p.m., expecting my room to have been given away because I had not told them I would be coming in so late, and they even had a bigger room waiting for me! This place was quiet(no street noise), breakfast was great--so many things to choose from--and in a great spot to walk to the shopping areas around the city. I would highly recommend this place to anyone wanting a great place to stay for a fabulous price.

My daugther and myself had an excellent stay in your Hotel. The only minus was, that on the reservationform we got thru e-mail, no address was mentioned. Yust a poor map indication. But we know now how to find you, and will choose your hotel in the future!

Nice small hotel, 1 minute away from a Ferrocaril line that goes to Placa de Catalunya in 5 minutes. The nearby Gracia neighbourhood is very nice for his non touristic ambiance : squares with restaurants and bars full of the Barcelona youth. Warm welcome. Rooms are spacious and very comfortable. Glad we got a package to stay there as the initial price per night is very high, too high !

We had a room closed to the street, it was a little bit too loud. The connection to metro is excellent. Nice small hotel unit. We can recommend it warmly.

Very good hotel, with clean and spacious rooms. It is a pity, there is too much noise with the lavatory. However our stay was really nice and we would recommend this hotel to others.

This hotel is in the business district but there are cafes and bars nearby. It is right beside a train station which brings you straight into the city centre. Trains run every couple of minutes (even on Sundays) and until 2am Friday & Saturday but a taxi from La Rambla only cost us 5euro. If you plan to stay in this hotel and are coming from another euro country then bring some coins with you 'coz the guy at the desk collects them.

I was very satisfied by the room and the price I paid for it. I would recommend this establishment. I appreciated the greetings in the lobby, the tea in the common room upon our arrival. The separate living space from the bedroom was great. The bathroom was spotless. The only down side is that I thought it was a bit isolated from any night life.
