Rooms and hall way were a little smelly and we were charged to use the safe that was in our room. Not to mention a fee on top of our room price for being tourists. Awesome location though right on the main part of Las Ramblas, with a Metro station 100m either side.

The location was excellent; the staff friendly and room very good with wonderful views over the city and to the sea. Breakfast was plentiful with a wide choice. We stayed six nights and would certainly stay there again. The low rating on 'quietness' was due to there being an interconnecting door to the next room (lets through more noise than a wall) and some noisy neighbours - we were there during the world cup semi-finals.

Very tired and shabby hotel, bathroom had mould on the tiles, fixed in as grown into plastic grouting, dust and fluff on the carpet on arrival, at night could hear machine rumblings (lift or metro?). Breakfast very average in gloomy room, had to pay 10 Euro deposit with 2.50 Euro day to use the safe in the room although advertised. Wi-Fi hopeless- could only use in lobby and speed very slow, meant to be accessible in room. Location was about the only highlight, best avoided.

We would have preferred a king size bed. We got a double, that was comfortable, that was a little small for our needs. The breakfast was very good. And the breakfast that you provided for our early departure was a very good perk.

We had ordered 2 double rooms, when we arrived they only had 2 small single rooms. Thay told us that we had forget to tell that it was 4 persons in total. In our oppinnion there is no need to tell that we are 2 persons in a double room. We used almost 1 hour in the reseption to make them change into 2 double rooms. And that was very bad service from the guy in the reseption. We was lucky who had rooms away from La Rambla, quiet and nice. Good cleaning.

Nice large room with a fantastic view - located in the very center of Barcelona. Really good if you are staying short term. Breakfast was fine, with freshly pressed orange juice and warm dished like egg, bacon, sausages and tomatobeans. The only minus was, that it wasn't a double bed but two single beds. (but you were able to arrange them next to each other) The internet was very weak too - you could use your apps on your phone but not load the newspages on safari.

In general it was very good or even excellent for a short stay meant to get some idea of the city. The location is just perfect. But it's been impossible to sleep in the room as the noise from the bath room when smb use it was something that needs to pay attention immediately.

The staff was service-minded and nice. The room was cleaned and the wifi was good (I could listen streamlined music without interruption). The breakfast was of good quality and choice (croissant, fruits, different bredas, cereales, fresh orange juice, eggs, bacon, sausages, ham, cheese, etc) The hotel is also very central ( but be careful with pick-pockets in the rambla surrounding). The safe costs 2.5 eur/night. I travelled alone and had a pleasant stay at this hotel. I will not hesitate to return to this hotel if I travel again to Barcelona!

I can not be happier...we found location of this hotel so great..so many things to do with in walking distance, right on La Rambla street. They had excellent breakfast and they even packed my departure day breakfast as we left hotel at 7 AM...highly recommended..you will love it as we did. Slightly slower wifi but got work done and I was there for not to surf on net butto roam on streets of Barcelona so no big deal.

The hotel is very central, the rooms at the back are quiet and are sufficient, (we had a room on the 8th floor with a very large balcony) but the hotel is very tired and in need of a facelift. The breakfast is just O.K. but not nearly as good as we remember on our first visit to the hotel, about 12 years ago. The breakfast room is in the cellar while there is an unused dining-room which could be made attractive. It is somewhere to sleep and tour -nothing more.

In spite of well positioned the price is not reflected in the services offered. In public areas the smell of food is obstinate. The walls between the room at the 8th floor where I lived were thin, so over the night I could hear the quarrels in the next room. The breakfast meal is OK.

The hotel is in a great location towards the lower end of the Ramblas. The Palau Guell is on the adjacent street and the hotel is almost directly opposite the Placa Reial which contains a number of good restaurants. The old town can be accessed straight across the Ramblas and the beach is around a 20 minute walk away. The hop-on-hop-off bus stops at Placa de Catalunya at the top of the Ramblas. We stayed for three nights and the buffet style breakfast was good and had a number of variations to it each morning. All in all a good place to stay in a busy part of the city.

We had a room in the 7th floor. It was quiet because it was not situated to the side of the ramblas. The location of the hotel is very good, metro and the old town are nearby. The breakfast is a buffet with marmelades, cheese, sausages, beacon, eggs, yogurts, fresh friuts, muesli, even fresh pressed orange juice and several fresh bakrey products (rolls, cakes, breads, croissants,...)

The Hotel Rambles has a perfect location almost across from the Place Real en on the Ramblas itself. The building and rooms are older and the rooms need a facelift, but all in all the Hotel is perfect for a city trip. Breakfast was rather disappointing as the room was too small and too crowded and the eggs not realy good but it was eatable. The noisy rooms and lesser quality are completely compensated by the perfect location of this Hotel.

The hotel is located in a great spot right on La Rambla and really close to a lot of restaurants and street artists. It was also a short walk down to the marina. Our hotel room was spacious and had a balcony which were the only perks of the room. It smelled as though they were trying to mask the smell of smoke with lots of cleaning products. We asked to switch rooms on the first night but, they said they couldn't move us. The sheets were very old and stained. Two out of the 3 lights in the bathroom were out when we arrived. We asked DAILY for them to be changed and they were still out when we checked out 4 days later. We literally showered in the dark for 4 days. I would never recommend this hotel. The staff was unhelpful and room was far from clean or cozy.

The hotel is great and centrally located. We had a room with a small balcony towards La Rambla street and I would recommand a room that faces La Rambla. It really wasn't too noisy and was fun watching. The staff was wonderful and helped us with every little question. The breakfast was nice for the price. We had to pay 12.5 Euros in order to use the safe.

Hotel staff were very helpful and friendly and location of hotel was very convenient for local attractions. Negative aspects of the hotel were: - Not enough pillows or blankets in room (it was January so not very warm) - No mini bar in room - Bathroom/toilet smelled of sewage - Food at breakfast was poor quality for a 3 Star hotel, and we noticed a lot of other guests left their food too. - There was no car parking nearby, no info on the website about this and the car park that we did use was very expensive. We stayed in the Hotel Costabella in Girona (also a 3 Star) which was excellent - warm, quiet, with good food, and very convenient if you fly into Spain from the north.
