Great rooms, great hotel and great location. Only bad thing was that the lighting in the rooms was very dim, and for a woman to put on makeup or fix herself up it was difficult. Otherwise great.

We are experienced international travellers (both business and leasure). This hotel was a huge surprise. Its location is better than perfect. Located a half a block from the Plaza Catalunya, the center of the city, less than one bloc from Las Ramblas and just 5 minutes from Gracia, the most significant street in the city. This is a very busy city with lots to see and do and eat and drink. All available nearby. The port is a walk, about 3/4 mile, and there is a Starbucks at both ends of the block.(They are very busy, but you can sit outdoors and have a good breakfast). The hotel is very modern, done in extremely good taste. The roof terrace with a bar is a must to visit. The clients come on business or on vacation, lots from other countries, and lots of "lovers" of all ages as well. Great atmosphere. The lobby, the private garden next to the breakfast room and the roof terrace are all done exquisitely. The stuff here is very good and multilingual. They are all helpful. If you have a problem look for Andrea, but all of them will be ready to help. One night just as everybody was ready to go out to dinner, there came a huge rainstorm. The staff offered to bring quite good food to us with selection of wines, all at reasonable prices, and many of us had a good time in the area of the lobby next to the garden. Here we had problems with the taxis, but it was not the hotel's fault. This hotel is near the old town with its sites and good restaurants, and also to many restaurants on the Gracia, also on Ramblas (much too hectic to eat there). Overall a super experience. Can't think of anything to complain about, which, according to my wife is quite an unusual situation.

This boutique hotel is fantastic value, very well situated 100 metres offtop end of La Rambla in a quiet one way street. Only 100 metres also to airport bus, city tour bus stop and great shops and indoor and outdoor cafes. A quality area of the city. The staff were terrific and room small but very comfortable. We would defintitely stay here again and recommend this hotel to our friends.

The hotel is few steps faraway to Plaza Catalunya, in the heart of Barcellona, and everything is near! The hotel is very nice, great service and also great food at the restaurant! Standard rooms are very small, but very nice and confortable. If I'll come back to Barcellona, I'll stay again at Pulitzer hotel!

Best of the hotel in order: staff; location; clean; modern; relaxing lounge. Metro a half block away; ATM/bank next door; major department store 3 blocks; restaurants and grocery within a block; pharmacy one block; electronics store a half block; taxi there at checkout; airport bus 2 blocks; many sidewalk cafes starting a half block away.

We found the rooms were spacious and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and courteous, and made a very special effort to highlight a special occasion for us. Hotel is very central, and within easy reach of all wellknown attractions. Breakfast is good if a little pricy. We would definitely use this hotel on any return visit.

An absolute beautyful hotel with friendly and competent staff at reception, bar and restaurant. Unfortunately my room had no view as it was in the back and gave on a flat rooftop surrounded by high walls, I couldn't open the window at night or someone could walk in. (106?) There was no space to put my suitcase and in the bathroom the stopper in the sink was broken so the water stayed in the sink as I found out late at night. I pried it open and left it out so the cleaning lady would notice, but she simply put it back again, so I had to get it out a second time next evening. I should have called housekeeping but as I was hardly in the room I didn't want to be bothered. Nevertheless my compliments, I loved the whole design of the hotel.

The location of this hotel was great. It was our first time staying there and we would gladly return. One small problem is that there is no sign outside the hotel so it was difficult finding it the first time.

The rooms, particularly bathroom, were lovely. My main complaint is that they all open out onto the main atrium, which means all the bar noise can be heard from the rooms. Otherwise, good location, friendly staff and nice bar.

Really great atmosphere in bar / lounge area as soon as you walk in. Fantastic breakfast buffet but not cheap. Only problems were being given twin beds instead of a double and being given a very odd shaped room that had a long corridor from door to bed, and too much furniture packed in! Bathroom was large and luxurious, so overall made up for size of room. Would definitely stay at Pulitzer again but would specify not a corner room!!

Excellent city centre location. Hotel not as fabulous as some reviews would have you believe. The 3* hotel we stayed in the previous week (Apsis Splendid) was just as good and equally well located - but cheaper! Didn't particularly get an amazing welcome and rooms were quite noisy. Can't fault the location though.

My friend and I went on a shopping trip to Barcelona, and the hotel could not have been better placed for that, really central and close to all transport links, also within walking distance of most of the main shopping areas. We enjoyed our stay very much, and would stay there again when in the city. the staff were very welcoming and friendly, and the rooms, although compact, were clean and well furnished.

We loved this hotel, but for a bit more I would suggest getting a suite. We got a the smallest room and it was beautiful, but the plasma screen tv hanging from the wall was in the walk way opposite our bed. For the money, I'd say do stay here for sure!

This was an excellent hotel! One of the best I have ever stayed in. Would definitely go back and absolutely recommend this to friends. The reception staff were so very helpful. Alex recommended and booked lovely restaurants for us. The only very minor complaint was the noise from the alarm in the lifts - the button is at an ideal height to be leaned on (and therefore was fairly often!), and the noise of the alarm is very loud. Move the position of these emergency buttons so that they are not set off by accident and you have a great hotel! Tried the restaurant in the hotel and was one of the best meals of the holiday. If you stay here, you must go up to the terrace bar on the roof for a pre/post dinner drink!

A first class service from all members of staff. I am assured the doors to the rooms near the Bar area are to be sound-proofed, this is all it needs to make it A first class Hotel!

Stayed 3 nights at the Pulitzer. Ideally located just off Catalunya square and Rambla in relatively quiet side street with metro stop opposite. Easy access to all Barcelona's sights and transport. Staff couldn't have been more welcomimg and helpful - upgraded room offered on check-in. Didn't eat in hotel although friends had room service and said it was great and reasonably priced. Would definitely stay there again and recommend it.

A nice and quiet located hote in Barcelona with smiling and helpful staff. A highly recommendable lobbybar where it is easy to relax after seeing the city. You need not go to far to get a a good meal in the city. Just pop in to the hotel restaurant which will surely surprice you. May be one of the best in Barcelona? Start with a fois gras along with a good wine and you are on. We will recommend Pulitzer to anyone who wants a good stay in Barcelona.

This hotel was in a great (safe) location, close to everything, and was "trendily" decorated. Trying to figure out how to correctly work the lights/power on and off was also fun. We also had a small balcony that was great and big enough to pull a big chair out onto it. Although, this place was slightly more expensive then I wanted to book (but near Las Rambles dictates that), it was worth it. We booked 8 hotels thru venere.com and all of them turned out as were advertised.

This hotel was brilliant! My girlfriend and I were very impressed with the staff, location and service. The price of this hotel was brilliant. We are planning to go back to Barcelona this year and we are definately going to stay at the Pulitzer again! The only 1 bad point was that we could hear the bar sometimes when we had gone to bed but we were only on the first floor and it didn't keep us awake. The staff were excellent, all spoke good english and were very helpful. The location was brilliant, just off La Rambla so easy to get to but not too noisy. The room although on the small side was fine for the both of us, plenty of wardrobe space and the cases fit under the bed. We were impressed with the complimentary goods, eg shower gel, soaps and even slippers! The breakfast was not included with the room but we only had it one day as we went exploring on other days for food but it was a buffett style and eat till you burst type of thing...which you probably had to do as it was £10 each. A great hotel and I would thoroughly recommend this to anyone!
