The location was very good because it was situated close to the underground and several buses, even the bus to the airport. It was easy to get to the old part of the town. Montjuic was easy to reach by foot and in the neighbourhood there were stores with groceries for example. Breakfast was nice compared to the prize.

great location, right by Espanya. excellent room, great price, very clean. staff helpful when asked. a little hard to get to because of the one way streets around, but once i found it it was easy to drive back to.

There was a good breakfast, a nice service of free wifi and the free use of two pc. the only bad point was the noise of the housekeeper during the morning.

The Onix Fira does score high from an overall point of view, but has a few kinks that customers should be aware of. We got a great deal for a double room (54 euro per room per night, breakfast included - do look for the B&B special here on venere) and we enjoyed the spacious and quiet rooms (you'll see the reason for the plural) and the convenient location (the hotel is very close to the Plaça d'Espanya subway stop, which serves both the red and the green lines). However, the staff was only as nice as their job forced them to be; not that they were rude, but they looked like they couldn't care less whether guests were even there or had a good opinion of the hotel. Since the hotel was fully booked for the weekend, we had to spend two nights in a room where the heating was out of order before we finally managed to get a new room (after asking three different receptionists). Breakfast was also quite a disappointment: quite a good assortment, but really low quality (even the machine-prepared hot drinks were awful). Nonetheless, I would still recommend the hotel overall if you are looking for a cheapish accommodation that boasts a great location and large rooms (overlooking a wall, but hey, there's so much to see in Barcelona that you'll only be there at night - which is good because the hotel also lacks lounging areas :-) ).

Hotel con buon rapporto qualità/prezzo. Si trova a due passi da Plaza de Espana in una zona tranquilla, non troppo distante dal centro (2 fermate metro vicine). Stanze pulite e personale gentile (tranne le cameriere addette alla colazione).
