Great location! right next to a metro stop and the train station. Not a really nice hotel, but if you are not picky it's a good choice.

Nice friendy hotel. Polite and helpfull staff.

It is on the second floor of a house. It is not easy to find it and the cost for a double room withour breakfast (because there nothing but the rooms there) is really very expensive

Small room. the window didn't close. Noisy. Smell not good.

Hotel e camere fatiscenti, anguste e buie. Pulizia e igiene pessimi: ragnatele e batuffoli di polvere sul pavimento. Rapporto qualità/prezzo (nel periodo di luglio) non buono. Posizione non male, se non fosse per l'odore insopportabile di fogna. Stazione della metro a pochi passi (Barceloneta). Mi sono ritrovata un ago tra le lenzuola(?). Non lo consigliamo nemmeno ai più temerari come noi.

The hotel is very good for a short stay as it is really close to the beach and at a very convenient location.

non prendete mail la camera 106!! mai!! i gestori non forniscono le chiavi delle camere e il citofono dell'albergo suona tutto il giorno e tutta la notte ..la 106 è la più soggetta a questo casino! in definitiva comunque a barcellona scegliete sempre un due stelle.la differenza di prezzo è minima ma la qualità è ben altra cosa.

Nice clean room. No TV. Showder on the floor accessable between 8:00 - 22:00. The picture is only the smal backyard of the house.

The hotel was very well located and they offered free wireless internet and a discount in a parking lot closer to the hotel. The receptionist who received us was very kind and gave us a lot of useful information. I definitely recommend this hotel.

Nuestra estadía fue satisfactoria. El hotel es viejo, y no demasiado lindo, pero limpio y correcto. El baño, excelente. Esta a 10 minutos caminando del centro, muy cerca del barrio gótico. Bien comunicado por metro y bus.

We didn't stay at the Lion because no rooms were free,so they sent us to the Santa Marta hotel (about 100 meters in the surroundings), which belongs to a higher standard. We got an excellent experience at the same price.

Salve ottimo hotel per i giovani io ci sono stata bene, era pulito il personale veramente gentile, in una posizione ottima super centrale a due passi da merò e fermata autobus. Vicinissimo all Rambla. Ottiomo ci tornerei di sicuro

Even if it's small and not so "fabulous", it's quite clean and the ideal for young guys that want to visit the city and just spend the night in a simple place without paying a lot.

Very unfriendly welcome. Was informed that without the confirmation page from the venere website, there was no booking! So make sure you print it and take it with you if you stay here. As everyone else commented, very annoying having to buzz in every time. Our room was right next to the reception area, where someone was watching tv loudly all night, or talking to other people. Would no reccomend this place.

Very sorry to not have the breafast described on the Internet site and supposed to be included. The room is clean but small and sad. You have to ring teh bell to enter the hotel so everybody is aware of the arrival of a new person (even very late). Impossible to have the invoice of the stay. You do not know who is reponsible for the payment : Venere or the Hotel. Very bad when it is for a professional stay. The only good points : clean and at 1min of the station Barceloneta and the harbour and 10min by walk of the Rambla.

When we arrived to check -in we were sent to a nearby hotel (The Oasis. They had a room for us and it appeared to be a much better hotel than the Lyons. My ratings are for the Oasis.

L'hotel è davvero molto carino per il prezzo che chiede. é nella zona Barceloneta, quindi molto centrale. La metropolitana è a pochi minuti di strada. Le camere sono pulite un pò piccole forse...il personale è cordiale e simpatico, ma poco professionale direi! prima che mi aprissero ho dovuto aspettare 20 minuti fuori perchè nessuno rispondeva al campanello! Consigliato per il rapporto qualità prezzo e la posizione.

The hotel takes one Level in a really nice old but renovated building. The windows in the room were going to the car-park side, wich was always empty besides of two-three cars, but because of a very busy street behind it, it was really noisy in the mornings. The employees do not understand a word English, so it's recommendes to take spanish dictionary with you. But there's round-the-clock somebody there to open the door for you. Our room was small and looked cheap, but it is a cheap hotel, so for the price we paid it was more then fair. The overall impression is good, if you are going to spend more time in the city then in your room and care about money, it's a good adress.

The breakfast is to be taken at another place, same street, 100 m away... Overall, cheap place, great for the price, employees very nice.

Great location, helpful staff,didnt get a double room but that was made up for by the proximity of the Gothic Quarter. Would thoroughly recomend, as long as you dont mind basic.

I went on a 4 week trip and this place was the worst of the bunch. The hotel was dingy and smelled of dirty mop water, the employees were friendly enough but spoke no english, and it was incredibly noisy. I did not sleep one night during my stay due to the noise of people coming in and out and the staff starting at 8 am. I would not stay here again.

For the price you cannot beat the quality or location. The senora at the desk spoke little English, but can understand Italian quite well. She was not only charming but very helpful. The location is fabulous, two blocks from the metro and one block from the old town and the tourist bus which I also recommend. The bathroom was small, but there was tons of towels!!! I needed an extra pillow and it was in my room when i returned the same with the hair dryer. The clientele was mixed nationalities, generally quiet. I felt very comfortable there and would return in a minute.

best price you can find. great location. noisy in the morning. note: if you take the metro you'll need line 4, and not line 1 as mentioned in the site.

The staff was very pleasant and accomodating. It is really simple clean rooms in a beautiful city. Just minutes from everything!

The reception was on the 3th floor, and was not looking like a real reception... it was more a desk in a small corner... more like a pension than a hotel.... our room was just next to reception, so we asked for another room, and by chance we were send to a hotel close by, who was realy better. looking like a real hotel.... with a real reception, and this for the same price.... so at the end everything went fine, but I would never book again in the Lyon.

Located in a very quiet street, two blocks from the underground and near the center. If you are carrying on heavy luggages you can ìdareî to use the elevator, because it's in the third floor. The owner is who attends every lodger and does the cleaning; she is so nice and friendly (24 horas no problem). The room was very clean with air conditioning and tv. We booked a double room but it had two single beds separated, so we had to put them together. Our bathroom was impeccable and we had clean and fresh towels every day. If we return to Barcelona, definitely we'll stay in Lyon again.

The lyon hotel exist only as a name and is not a hotel . It has no reception no one to correspond with the only oganizational ability is to charge money on your credit card for absolutly jack!! It is esentialy a boarding house but it is so filthy i wouldn't board my dog there above all they are esentally dishonest and took about 90 euro for no reason DONT GO THERE !!!!!!!!

The Hotel is very difficult to find since their is no board outside indicating it, it is on the third floor of a Apartment block. All and All it is good value for money.

A simple but clean hotel in a quiet street and close to as well center as beach.

We have booked with Venere the Hotel, but when we arrive in it the hotel was full. So the receptionist send us to another hotel, but also the second hotel was full. In the third hotel (Suizo) we find a room. However we get a room in a 3* hotel in the center of barcellona at the same price of the Lyon.

The hotell, which we had booked were full, but the staff had booked us in another hotel nextdoor.

Se non avete troppe pretese e desiderate un albergo veramente economico, l'Hotel Lyon è l'ideale. Posizione comodissima a due passi dalla Metro e a cinque minuti a piedi dalla Rambla. Personale molto disponibile e presente 24h su 24h. Camere pulite anche se non troppo spaziose. E' stata davvero una vacanza piacevole.
