We took the advice of others and asked for an inside room, not facing the street. We received a very large room, really a suite. It was clean and quiet. Great location and an excellent value.

The location was the top reason we stayed at this hotel; it is near the center of everything such as La Rambla, metro stops, Bus Turistic stops, etc. I did not like the noise from the hallways and the atrocious smells at night/morning. I stayed there for two nights and was with my significant other.

The room we stayed (double bed)was very spacious, quiet and clean. The basic cleansers were provided and the beds were able to be lifted automaticly on both ends which was quite good for your feet after a tired day. Surrounding very close to the tourist bus and La Rambla, therefore convenient for late night etc. Would come back next time!

Room was not ready when we arrived, so they switched our room. It was large, but the in-room safe was not working, and the decor was a little dated. teh shower fixture did not work properly and no amenities. The "view" from the large window was hideous - directly looking onto a very ugly apartment building and balconies - so we had to keep the curtains closed. just too cheap-feeling to be relaxing.

I stayed in Barcelona for 3 days for a conference and wanted a hotel in the center of town. I was extremely satisfied with the location of Hotel LLeo, in close proximity to all the major sites in town, on one of the busy streets of the city, but still very quiet and shielded from the outside noise. I thought the quality: price was excellent.

BEWARE! I stayed at the Hotel Lleo for three nights in mid-February. My first night was fairly uneventful, although the rooms are very loud. There are many comments about how loud the rooms are. We aren't kidding. The rooms are LOUD. The real trouble, however, came the second day of my stay. I came back to the room at 4 pm only to find my door wide open, with my laptop on full view. There was no cleaning crew in the room. I asked the front desk about this, and they were extremely nonchalant and unapologetic. The manager checked the door log and saw that the door had been opened by the cleaning staff at 130. So for 2.5 hours, my room had been on full show. As a solo female traveler, this was totally unacceptable. He never apologized or showed the smallest bit of consideration or remorse. He repeatedly shrugged his shoulders and told me I could move rooms, which I did, only because the room that I originally had also featured a window with a landing and a rickety window lock. Sigh. So disappointing. Also, if you are expecting a call, be sure to give your caller your room number. Front desk staff did not always have a full command of english.

A fantastic hotel with an excellent location! The hotel is situated in Carrer De Pelai, a street off La Rambla. When you walk out of the hotel, you are in the middle of a good shopping street, and close to major areas in Barcelona. I would definitely use this hotel when I return to Barcelona (which I really have to do, what a lovely city!).

Ottimo Hotel, stanze spaziose e luminose, ben pulite.

I was traveling with my 20 year old daughter--it was a long weekend get-a-way. The location of the hotel was fantastic...just a couple of blocks from Las Ramblas. There is an ATM right next door and a pharmacy across the street. The front lobby is bright and fresh looking. Behind the elevators there is a computer with free internet. The rooms themselves could use some updating as they were a bit tired. Our rooms were cleaned daily but not until late in the afternoon -- 3ish. Not a big deal, but a bit of a surprise it wasn't earlier. Our room faced the street and so was pretty loud until the early hours of the morning--- you might want to bring ear plugs!

The hotel is perfectly located to the centre of the city where there are lots of good restuarants & cafe bars, the staff in the hotel were very polite and helpful, the choice food at breakfast was great, but the best thing was the room, it was quiet, spacious and immaculately clean.

Nice Hotel but the rooms to the street are very loud. The windows are quite useless and don't prevent the noise from the street at all. The reception was not very friendly. Everything else was perfect: nice room in the center of the city with flat screen tv and a small whirlpool bath.

The first night we had a balcony room off the first floor. The room was nice and had a beautiful bathroom with a jacuzzi tub! The noise however was bad. You constantly heard motorcycles, people, cars, etc.etc. On our next stay we requested a "back" room, which does not have a balcony and is not on the street. The room cost less and seemed like twice the size as the first room. The noise however, was even worse then the street. You could hear everything in the hallways to hearing every noise coming out of your neighbors room. Also, the room seemed dirty. The pluse side: great location and descent price. Also, they have a good bar with a nice staff- the drinks are very inexpensive (expecially for barcelona!).

Really, really enjoyed our stay in Barcelona. Hotel was fantastic, right round the corner from the main area of Las Ramblas - we were only a two minute walk to all the bars, restaurants and entertainment, and a couple of metro stops away from all the main sights. Lleo is a gorgeous hotel, I was very pleased with my booking - it looked exactly as the photos on the website showed, and the price was next to nothing for the standard of hotel. Room was huge, almost a suite! Staff were lovely and friendly and we felt very comfortable staying there. Would recommend it and would definitely stay there again.

This place was fantastic. The quality compared to the price paid was too good. The room size is also much larger than you would usually get in a 3* in Europe. The hotel was also suitably located at the top of La Rambla (not Port Vell side) so there was a lot to see and do.

We arrived to find 2 twin beds in our room, instead of a queen, as requested. The manager actually said "if you don't like it, you can go. We are very busy" to us when we asked to change rooms. We were stuffed in a little corner room on the roof - and every morning we woke to the staff slamming doors and stomping past our window (I'm guessing there was access to something they needed quite frequently up there). Good location though.

Very pleased with the standard of accommodation. Would like to have booked inclusive bed and breakfast with a choice of full or continental but not possible. Breakfast buffet quite expensive for what we really wanted but felt we had to eat in as nothing else nearby. Location excellent. 5 minutes walk across the square from Aerobus stop in Catalunya Place. (Bus every 15 min from the airport, all terminals 3.80 euro) Ramblas also nearby. However, because of the close proximity to the centre, the street is busy and can be noisy.

It was a good three star hotel, right at the heart of the city. It's near Plaza Cataluna and next to a metro station. The staff is polite and informative. It's good that breakfast is up to 12:00 but I think that the general policy of Spanish hotels not to include breakfast in the price they quote is a sham! I understand though that this is the general policy, so I cannot blame "Lleo" for that! Actually it was better than the photos and truly a convenient place to stay for a tourist visit. Mind you we had specifically asked, and got, a room at the back which was really quiet.
