Hotel Hesperia Sant Just - Sant Just Desvern, Barcelona

The hotel is too far from downtown. The price/quality ratio is low because on the website is written that the hotel is 15 minutes from downtown but that it may be if you have your own car and if you know the city. If you don't have the car you have to pay a lot for taxi or you have to get the tram and then the metro and it takes at least 50 minutes. The wellness centre is really dirty, smelly and small. The staff doesn't tell you anything about the hotel, they just care about the money.

Very good hotel, the only problem is that you need roughly 45 minutes to reach the city center. But the rooms are really nice, and the tube stop is at five minutes by walk.

First of all It is not in Barcelona, and they don't mention this. For a foreigner it is hard to notice until he gets there. It is kind of in a small town near Barcelona, at Sant Just Desverne. But you make 15minutes with the Train and 40 with Tram then Subway to the center. For what I wanted it was the best. A clean and good looking hotel. The surroundings are not very nice because it is under construction, and it's kind of a dead town, you feel like nobody is there. It is very far from the Train Station, near the Tram but the subway is far. Not many taxis around, they all stay in front of the Hotel but none at the train station. Not a 6star hotel, evidently, but the best 4star Hotel I ever stayed in, and I travel alot. And the prices are as low as you can find. Very, very clean, good facilities, and the rooms look exactly as good and beautiful as in Venere.com pictures. A good place to relax at night in silence.

Hotel veramente carino e confortevole, le stanze sono veramente comode. la pulizia è ottima e soprattutto anche l'ospitalità. Sono rimasto impresso per la colazione che per il prezzo che mi hanno fatto era veramente completa di tutto. Per il posto auto come qualcuno ha detto non ci sono problemi l'area intorno è adibita a parcheggio free e quindi non è necessario usare il parcheggio dell'hotel che costa 8€ a giorno. In generale per come è l'hotel anche la qualità/prezzo è veramente conveniente.

L'hotel è molto bello e confortevole, raggiungere il centro è abbastanza macchinoso (tram, metro....).

Very ordinary greeting of guests. No real information provided on arrival so the hotel could be more welcoming. The restaurant has good food but the service is not overly friendly or keen to provide service for non Spanish. Breakfast not included in tariff.

Although the hotel was as described, the room was large, very clean and airey, our room overlooked a building site,although the noise was negligable and didnt worry us at all, but the front of the hotel, which we overlooked was noisy during the early hours of the morning due to hotel deliveries. it was outside of Barcelona,and the tram ride took 1/2 hour, not so far you may think, but believe me it was very tiring EVERY day, two-four times a day. The trams were spotlessly clean and very reliable, and were about every 20 mins. or so. There is absolutely nothing to do in the area at night, no bars or restaurants at all, that we could find, you HAD to go back into Barcelona to eat unless you ate in the hotel restaurant, which when we stayed there was a pretty pricey thing to do every morning and evening. Overall I would recommend the hotel if you drive, but not for the likes of us who rely on public transport.

Distant to the city center

A good hotel if you want to visit Barcelona but don't want to be in the middle of the center. Too bad that the restaurant was always closed during the period of stay. Not bad for both business & leisure. Parking space is a bit a problem.
